This is a lovely place to spend a few days in Praiano and on the Amalfi Coast. If you’re going to walk be sure you can climb a lot of stairs.

Our family of five had the most beautiful stay with this apartment in Praiano, Italy. Our host, Luka, was so accommodating and kind to our family. He made us feel welcome and right at home. There are many stairs to the apartment, but that is what gives you the exceptional views. It was priceless!

Wow! What can I say, we have just had the most amazing week staying here. We were a family of 6 adults. The space was perfect for all of us. The views from the villa are absolutely incredible, every day we woke up and said wow!! Praiano is the best place to base yourself on the Amalfi Coast, it is easy to get anywhere else on the coast on the Sita buses. The local swimming spot directly below the property (via 749 steps) and is beautiful! Yes there are a LOT of stairs to get anywhere but we all increased our fitness in the week we were there!! If you have mobility issues then the Amalfi coast is not an easy place to travel as there are stairs everywhere. There are lots of restaurants in Praiano, and also many places to walk to, or you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the view!Communication was fabulous all round in the lead up, Luca was super helpful on arrival! We asked for transport from pompei to the villa and then back to the airport in Napoli which was great! I would 100% recommend staying here and would love to go back one day!

I only give two stars to this place because it has absolutely gorgeous view from the terrace. That's about the only positive thing about this house. If they haven't change the description yet be ware: it is NOT 7 minutes walk to the beach (it is 25-30 min via steep staircases, and depends on how fit you are as a person). It is NOT three bedroom, it is two bedrooms and a living room with a loft. It was camouflaged as a fancy word "garret", and a smartly done picture to make it look like a third bedroom. Worst of all is their manager, Luka. Rude, unprofessional, belittling, smart mouth with superiority complex. I knew European customer service is poor, but he made it a creature of the distant past. Needless to say we were very disappointed. If you value your money, do NOT stay here and give these people your business.

Beautiful views for a great stay

Our host reached out via what’s app 2 days before our arrival and made the process super easy. The property was as described and the views were beyond words. Our host was super helpful with recommendations and local knowledge. There are definitely a ton of steps to get there from town but overall we highly recommend this property.

Our Stay in Praiano

We enjoyed our stay in Praiano. The house was beautiful. And we had a wonderful view above the mediterranian sea and the Amalfi Coast. Great Everything in and around the house was right. But one point: the costs of our parking space were a little bit too high.

Loved the location and the beautiful views,

Loved the views from the balcony- breathtaking. Luca is amazing- he helped us set up a boat charter to Capri. They assisted with us hiring a chef to provide a cooking class then serving us an amazing dinner. We walked everywhere around Praiano due to the great location!!! What a great place to begin our vacation!!

WHAT A VIEW!

What a great holiday home. Every room has a beautiful sea view! And that terrace! We had a great time and would definitely come back. The two story apartment has every what you need, especially the views and the west orientation (sunsets!). We loved the terrace where we had breakfasts and cosy dinners.

A lovely stay

Sol Luna was everything we'd hoped for. It did not disappoint. Walking out onto the patio with the view of Positano, Capri and the Tyrrhenian Sea was stunning. The bedrooms with their own veranda was an added bonus. Since we had a car the parking space was perfect. It all made for a lovely vacation on the Amalfi coast.

Magnificent View!

My family was thrilled with this beautiful retreat - gorgeous views from every room! After a day visiting Capri, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, and Pompeii, we would have dinner and enjoy the view from a large outdoor patio overlooking this magnificent sea view. Mr. Luca was always there to attend to any needs or questions. Truly a gem - and if you do not have a car, an easy shuttle bus to the local stores, etc. as well as to the cruise ships plus tour pick-up areas!

I stayed at the villa for 4 weeks in May. This villa is beautiful with fantastic views and a lovely veranda and balcony. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Luca is very helpful. But Please note that there is no pool anywhere near the villa, communal or otherwise. There are pools in town at least 20 minutes walk and costs are over 100 per day. Praiano is a wonderful place to base yourself on the Amalfi Coast - much quieter than Amalfi or Positano but still has everything you need. Many amazing restaurants and lovely walks up the mountain. Local buses go from outside the door of the villa and are super reliable and cheap - but other buses get very crowded even in May and will not always let you in if full. As expected there are lots of steps but many can be avoided by using the local bus. However walking distances described are too short - for example walking to gavitella beach from the villa is around 30 minutes (more than 500 steps down). But it is a lovely walk if you take it slow and very well worth it to swim in the perfectly clear sea. I would recommend this villa and praiano as long as you know there is no access to a pool

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback and for choosing our villa for your four‑week stay in May. We are truly delighted that you enjoyed the house, the views, the veranda and balcony, and that you found the kitchen well equipped. We are also very glad to hear that Luca was helpful throughout your stay. Regarding the pool, unfortunately the only available options in Praiano are the communal pools located in nearby hotels, which, as you correctly pointed out, require an additional fee. We appreciate you highlighting this for future guests. Thank you as well for your useful notes about the local buses, the walking paths, and the steps in the area. Praiano is indeed quieter than Amalfi or Positano, and we are happy you enjoyed its restaurants, walks, and the beautiful sea at Gavitella. Francesca

Spectacular views

The description and the pictures do not do this villa justice. It is beautiful and the views are spectacular. Six friends spent six nights and it was plenty big with all the things we needed. Lots of walking down the mountain road or stairs to town, but doable. The non-touristy town with lovely seaside restaurants is the perfect home base, and other more touristy places can be easily reached and explored. Highly recommended.

Praiano, April 2024

Communications went well in setting up arrangements for arrival. Mr. Luca welcomed us. He was very friendly and explained the house rules and helpful information about the area and how to get around. The house was large, roomy and clean. It was nice to sit on the balcony and enjoy the wonderful view. We were glad we stayed in Praiano because it seemed calmer but still close enough to surrounding areas to visit. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

The house was lovely. The kitchen was great for us as we like to cook in. We also cooked in the outdoor fireplace. Fresh Roasted Chicken. There were even fresh herbs in the garden. Amazing views toward Positano & Capri in the distance, for sunset. Watching Positano light up at night ...Awesome The host was very helpful. Loved it!!!

What a view!

My wife and I and our two teenage sons spent a fabulous few days at this wonderful property. The highlight is the fantastic terraces and the wonderful views over the harbor and the town. All of the main rooms lead out to terraces and there are views from all the main rooms. There was plenty of room and we could have accommodated additional people if needed. The house is close to the town with restaurants and shops although be aware there is a steep climb from the town (that view doesn't come without some work!). Property is as listed. Property manager, Luca, was totally awesome! He was very responsive and helpful. Arranged an in villa cooking class and dinner for us on our last night. Amazing. Know that you have to walk a lot of steps to and from town unless you’re willing to wait for a shuttle bus reasonably close by. If you have knee issues, it should be a consideration, but the view was worth every step! Thank me for the opportunity to stay here!

Beautiful scenery/house had no air conditioning

We loved the view and the town! The house had a neat layout. Luca was very helpful but we did not know we would have to pay $200 for parking. Parking was really tight and very difficult. Scratched our car trying to get in the parking space. The home only has fans and no air condition and it was miserably hot! You could not open the windows or doors to let in the ocean breeze because of mosquitoes. The beds were also very hard! Loved Praiano but would not stay here in late summer!!

Perfect Three Nights in Praiano!

This is a great multi-level property with two off-street parking spots at the property. Under the parking is your laundry and one floor below begins the house. Two Baths, full kitchen, two terraces with two bedrooms on the level below. The bedrooms have the unique ability to have direct sea views, making waking up in the morning a pleasure. Recently renovated. There is a full stair all the way down to the main road in Praiano, where you’ll fine great eateries, small but very worthwhile grocery and our favorite, the Bar Del Sole, offering a great terrace to soak in the sun while sipping the beverage of your choice. We also really enjoy the Trattoria San Gennaro which is situated outside overlooking the church courtyard. The views of Positano from the house or any of these venues is superb, particularly when the lights go on at night.

Amazing views from a very nice house

The house was very nice and it suited our group of 5 adult persons very well. The lower floor of the house smelled a little confined, but having open doors for a day helped. The views from the balcony and the terrace is unbeatable! The entire bay of Positano can be viewed and it is simply breathtaking. We spend quite a bit of time just looking at this view :) When visiting Praiano you should be prepared to walk A LOT of stairs, as it is close to impossible to park in the main parts of the city. When traveling the coastline, be prepared that the public transportation, can be a little unstable, but it beats driving if you value your car and don't want to spend a small fortune for parking :) All in all we had a fantastic time on the Amalfi coast with this nice house as our base. We can recommend it very much

A real Gem. I’d do it all over again.

Magnificent view! Great house and location. It’s spacious, clean, and well stocked. Each bedroom has a balcony with ocean views. Mr. Luca greets you on your arrival and provides great information. Simonetta from the property office was always helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Praiano is a wonderful location and I would go again and again. It’s a more relaxed atmosphere than Positano and the locals are all very friendly. The property and location will not disappoint however, be prepared to walk down 370 stairs to get to the main road or you can take the local bus #17 which stops across the street from the house. The SITA bus which picks you up on the Main Street will take you It’s all across the peninsula. It’s all very convenient. Praiano is a wonderful place to visit!

Our host, Luca was wonderful. He went above and beyond to help us when we had a couple very minor issues, even late at night. He sat with us, had a lovely conversation, and gave us great tips on which restaurants to enjoy and day trips to do, which was extra helpful since we visited in the off-season, so not everything was open. He even gifted us a bottle of prosecco to ring in the new year with. The home was perfect. 6 of us stayed very comfortably in it. It was clean, stocked with linens, kitchen utensils and the basics for cooking and coffee. We sent a request to have no scented soaps, detergents or air fresheners due to an allergy, and they were very accommodating. The multiple balconys and outdoor seating areas were wonderful for enjoying morning coffees and meals throughout the day with breathtaking views from all spots. We were told to help ourselves to the fruit from the trees on the property, and enjoyed homemade lemonade from fresh picked lemons, along with pomegranates and mandarin. The location was perfect - easily walkable into town to markets, shops and plenty of fantastic restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed hikes (with lots of stairs) down to the beaches, taking in the incredible views and architecture. It was a quick drive into the beautiful neighbouring towns, Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento. Our stay far exceeded our expectations. Praiano is a beautiful, quiet town full of lovely people, and this home is the perfect place to stay when you visit. Thank you!

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your beautiful and heartfelt review. We are truly delighted to read that your stay at Casa Sole Luna exceeded your expectations and that you were able to fully enjoy both the house and the authentic atmosphere of Praiano, especially during the New Year period. Luca will be very happy to know how much you appreciated his support, his suggestions, and his warm welcome. He always does his very best to make our guests feel at home, and your words mean a lot to him and to all of us. It is also a pleasure to know that the house, the views, the outdoor spaces, and even the small details such as the fresh fruit from the garden contributed to making your experience special. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us and for sharing your experience so kindly. We truly hope to welcome you back to the Amalfi Coast in the future. Warm regards, Simonetta
