Couldn't fault the lodge. It was in an ideal location and peaceful. The host called to make sure everything was okay. The hot tub was a bonus and the host explained how to use the hot tub.The welcome gift was a lovely gesture and appreciated. The lodge was really clean. It was pet friendly, both dogs enjoyed their stay also, especially as the outside area was secured. Can't wait to return.

Excellent base for Northumberland. Clean, warm and everything you need for a week. Hot tub, welcome pack and plenty of toilet rolls. Nice touch. Would we come again. Absolutely. Handy for short dog walks on site. Around the lake, or a path thro the woods. All you need for a quiet bimble before setting out to see the sights

Birthday getaway

I booked Woody’s retreat for my Mam’s 70th and we had a great time. The lodge was lovely and clean and it was great that we could bring our dogs. There was also a lovely welcome hamper and birthday card. I would definitely stay again and I would highly recommend.

Pleasant

Lovely property. Main bedroom fine as was kitchen and seating/dining area. There were plenty of utensils etc. The cushions for use in the seating area around the hot tub were still wet from the previous occupants. Second bedroom very small. Our adult daughter had it - the bed was more like a camp bed. There were two beds in the room with very little space to move around.

My name is Melanie, we visited Northumberland for a weekend away back in 2016 and have since then relocated. We love Northumberland, it's a fantastic place to visit and live! We currently have 3 properties on Felmoor Park, they are called Woodys Retreat, Stag Lodge and Woodys Lodge.

I have a passion for walking. hiking and love being outside. I love speaking to my guests and providing helpful tips on how to get the most out of their stay. As a dog lover we also have decided to keep our properties dog friendly at no extra cost.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Woodys Retreat was the first place we purchased back in 2016, since then we have welcomed over 300 guests, many of which have come back to us year after year. In 2019 we renovated Woodys Retreat adding some extra luxuries such as new italian reclining sofa's, new carpets throughout, new soft furnishings and plenty of little touches from our favourite shop in Rothbury (Pots and Paws). Most recently, December 2020 we have just installed a new 4 seater Hot Tub and have added a canopy sail to give a little protection from the rainy weather.

この宿泊施設の特徴

On a clear night, admire the dark skies and you may just see a shooting star or two!
