The 'Baglio Sciacca' with all its beauty and history has stood since 1881 as one of the most beautiful, traditional and evocative locations in the area. Between the rustling of olive leaves and the scents of the citrus grove, in a cool place just 3 km from the sea and the historic center, an ancient place with a traditional flavor, with all modern comforts, swimming pool and air conditioning included.

The reservation of the villa also includes reserved parking in a fenced area.

External guests are not allowed, unless previously agreed with the owner.

Ideal place to relax and enjoy the splendid nature of this part of Sicily, with all the services within walking distance (beaches, pizzerias, bars, restaurants, tobacconists, supermarkets). The historic center of Mazara del Vallo is only 3 km away, while less than 6 km away there is the splendid Capofeto Nature Reserve, where you can take wonderful walks in a unique and wonderful ecosystem, as well as enjoying one of the most renowned spots for kite surfing. The city of Mazara del Vallo stands out for its maritime tradition (City of Fish), it is in fact one of the most important and ancient seaports in the Mediterranean. The beauty of its sea and beaches, the excellent food (especially fresh fish, seafood, extra virgin olive oil and wine), will seduce you making your stay unforgettable. The countryside, with vast olive groves, citrus groves and vineyards, is very suitable for walking and cycling and is surrounded by an aura of peace and serenity to enjoy your holiday to the fullest. There are dozens of restaurants, pizzerias, equipped beaches, sandy beaches, rocky and cliff beaches, places of naturalistic interest, pubs and night clubs, discos, music clubs. The Villa is located in an excellent position to visit all the wonders of western Sicily. A few km from the Natural Reserve of Lake Pretola and Gorghi Tondi, 30 km from Selinunte (the largest Archaeological Park in Europe), 35 km from Birgi airport (Trapani), sites of wonderful beauty within easy reach, such as Segesta, Scopello, the Salt Pans of Trapani, Mothia, San Vito Lo Capo, the Cave di Cusa, the Aeolian Islands, the Scala dei Turchi ... etc ... With the reservation of the villa you are entitled to a 10% discount on all the "Experiences" and "Services" offered by Xenia Sicily Villas.

We recommend renting a car, as there is not much public transport. In any case, we can organize shuttles and taxi services for you.

La Sicile authentique

Très bon accueil de la part de notre hôte Très bon accueil de Francesco notre hôte, toujours serviable. Il nous a renseigné sur les environs (restaurant, sites) et nous avons eu droit un soir à un repas maison typiquement sicilien un vrai délice. La bâtisse est magnifique. Un endroit idéal pour les groupes où il fait bon se retrouver autour de la belle piscine. L'intérieur est authentique pas très moderne mais largement suffisant pour les vacances. Je conseille ce lieu.

Great pool, not far from city center and beach (with car). Great hosts

We were a large family group and had the whole place (3 apartments and 1 double room) to ourselves. For groups, this place is ideal, because you can cook and eat together. But still you can get out of each other's way, if you want to. Francesco was very accommodating regarding the big group and the family visits from other parts of Sicily. To the beach and the city center (very nice) it is a 10 - 15 minute drive. Mazara del Vallo is a great location for exploring the western part of Sicily. + Very nice large pool + Plenty of places to sit in the sun and shade and eat outdoors + Beach towels are there and for free. Francesco also offered us umbrellas for the beach + Francesco and his wife cooked for us for a birthday dinner. The food and wine was plentiful, delicious and the price was fair + Francesco is very helpful with tips and information. Although he and his wife live right next door on the property, they take care that you still have your privacy + Francesco speaks very good English, so if you don't speak Italian you can still communicate very well + The apartments are clean + The beds are very comfortable (although some of them look very primative) - The furniture is somewhat old/used. It looks like furniture that no one would want in their own apartment, but for a vacation apartment it is "good enough" - The rules regarding the air conditioning are expensive. AC costs 50 Euros extra per week. That would maybe be OK. However, this is not per apartment, but per unit. So if you have an apartment with 3 air conditioners, this is 150 Euros extra on top of the price (which isn't particularly cheap) - As mentioned, we were a big group and we had the whole place to ourselves. As the apartments are all interconnected and the outside areas are common, some people might not feel comfortable renting just one apartment with strangers in the remaining apartments

En toute simplicité avec Francesco...

Nous étions en famille ( 12 adultes et 7 enfants de 5 à 16 ans )... Suffisamment de place pour tout le monde sans être les uns sur les autres . La maison est très fonctionnelle...Francesco et sa femme Leyani sont très accueillants et toujours là en cas de besoin . Francesco nous a donnés des informations sur les différents sites à visiter et cela nous a bien aidés.La partie piscine est très spacieuse et les enfants s'en sont donnés à coeur joie . Je recommande cette villa .. Daniel et sa famille

Really nice house and host!

The house is super nice with lots of beds and all the comforts you need. The swimming pool is perfect to relax a bit during the hot Sicilian evenings. The host is really kind and always available to help. Highly recommended.

La casa e' stupenda.

La casa e' davvero stupenda. La suddivisione degli spazi e' ben fatta. A seconda di come si separano le stanze chiudendo le porte si possono avere diversi mini appartamenti con cucina, bagno e stanza. La piscina e' molto bella. La casa e' provvista di un salotto molto bello arredato anche con un biliardo (all'occorrenza c'e tutto per organizzare anche partite di ping pong). di un bellissimo cortile interno con tavolo. WIFI funzionante. Insomma consigliatissimo!

Beautiful villa tucked away close to the sea

A very nice and well maintained , rustic old villa with lots of charm and coziness, with a great swimming pool and excellent views of the sea. We were a large group of 21, and Francesco and Leyani were excellent hosts to us. Not only did they cook us amazing dinners each night, but were very helpful in arranging taxi services, tips on a great wine tasting, restaurants and nightlife.

Fabulous accommodation.

Had a very special stay, accommodation is excellent and hosts Francesco and Leyani are very welcoming. They did everything they could to provide the best holiday experience possible. They cooked excellent food in the evening for us to enjoy, accompanied by lovely wine. Francesco also arranged taxi service to get us around when needed. He suggested and booked for us other restaurants and activitiies. I would definately recommend this Villa and Thankyou again to the hosts for making my daughter's party of 20 a very happy occassion.

an amazing week in sicily!!!

We stay in this lovley ancient house with a group of 12 people. scince now the best house we´ve ever rent! everything was just perfect, the house was clean and tidy up like a 4* hotel. for sure in this place there is even more space than just for 12 people. really big! the pool was perfect temperated for the sunny weather and owner Francesco cleaned it every 2 days for us. Francesco and his wife take care of us all day long if there was a question or any special wish. in the first days we make nice and loud partys in the garden and it was absolutly no problem for them. Helpful all the time and shows us all the nice places in the region Trapani, for example the best beaches, restaurants, wine testing, Restaurants, Pizza service, etc... Me and my girlfriend make after that week a tour with the camper around sicily and francesco help us to plan the tour with the best and nicest spots all around the island.THX! for the last evening he was driving with us to the fishmarket to get much more better prices and the freshest things. Thanks for that! it was a meal we will never forget :) I am sure every guest from Francesco will recommend the Baglio Sciacca. Such a nice old tipical sicilian place. We are all very happy that we choose this place! ...hope we´ll see us again my friend!!! Thanks for these nice days!!! ...at least the 5 Stars here are not enough:)

Excellent Hosts and Hospitality

Can't say enough about our hosts Francesco and Leyani who were more than generous with their time and hospitality. The meal they prepared was one of the best of our trip which included our time in Rome, Florence and Palermo. Highly recommend this villa for small or large groups and especially the awesome hosts.

The Villa is very clean and well maintained and close to local facilities such as groceries. Very close to fine dining areas and within a reasonable driving distance to ancient sites throughout the region. The proprietors are magnificent and readily available for your needs.

Phenomenal Experience

You cannot get any better than our hosts. They were generous with their time, advice, food, suggestions. Everything we could ever ask for. It was great to be able to have Francesco who speaks english and his wife there for anything we needed. The space is quite large - all rooms are a very good size, including two of the kitchens and the 3 bathrooms. A short drive from Mucho Gusto (the best gelato ever), and grocery stores. At our highest we were 19 people and we all slept comfortably in rooms. The highlight was the prepared dinners that we booked for two nights. The food was incredibly delicious with enough leftovers for a lunch the next day. Highly recommend!

Magical time in this villa

This spacious villa was the perfect place to stay for our large group. The villa was clean, my bed was comfortable and the courtyard and pool area lovely. I enjoyed being able to pick and eat fresh fruit from the trees ( pomegranate, oranges and lemons). The best part was the care and kindness of our hosts. They introduced us to local people and places that we wouldn’t have otherwise known about. They cooked a wonderful meal and were always there if we needed them. They even bandaged my knee when I fell while site seeing. I would highly recommend staying here. A true delight.

My Sicilian Home

No doubt, this was the most authentic experience we’ve encountered so far during our travels. Sicily was already on our top destinations list, but now it resides in our hearts. The house is a traditional Sicilian farm house that offers a rustic and cozy atmosphere. It is located in a quiet area, perfect place to relax with family and close friends. We were 11 persons and it was enough room for everybody to feel comfortable, it could easily accommodate larger groups. Pool was very clean and the covered seating area surrounded by lemons near the pool was our favourite place to spend the evenings. Francesco and Leyani made this beautiful house feel like home. They gave us lots of insights on Sicilian traditions and cooked the most delicious dinner with fresh local seafood (St. Peter’s fish and Rosso di Mazara shrimps), a big Cassata cake and a huge bowl of fruits at the end. House is located in the center of the most signifiant points of attractions. Francesco gave us detailed explanations on each of them and helped us to choose the top ones. All in one, this is definitely a top choice if you’re looking for a true Sicilian experience. Francesco, we’ll meet again soon!

Vacanza indimenticabile !!!

Grazie a Francesco e Leyani abbiamo passato una vacanza indimenticabile. Il giorno che siamo arrivati hanno cucinato per noi.....troppo buono!!!! La villa é veramente stupenda. Tutto ben curato e pulito....non mancava niente. I proprietari erano sempre a nostra disposizione per qualsiasi cosa avevamo bisogno. Francesco e Leyani veramente simpatici e dolcissimi. Nice Villa with pool

So, we arrived together with two other families to the city Mazzara Del Vallo and Baglio Sciacca. We were in total 12 persons. The place is perfect for a group like ours, more then enough space. Pool was a popular area for the kids. And each one of the families had their own kitchen possibility. We would say that "what you see is what you get" is a good describtion when it comes to how this is shown on the website. All is up to what we expected! The first day Francesco "sold in" Sicilly. This was done as open and honest as we find the family. Take notes of the recomandations, you will experience them as they are, or even better than explained by Francesco. We really recomend the meal that is served by the family. Very good and the best meal we had in the village/city. Friendly pelople witch is easy to love only knowing them for just a week. Thank you Francesco, Leyani and Samuel for your hospitality during our stay!

Ideal spot for every kind of holiday!

Arriving and being welcomed by Francesco and Leyani was a treat in itself, and then to be enveloped by the comforts of their home was just fabulous. I was part of a large group celebrating a 30th birthday... To highlight the occasion, Francesco offered to cook a fresh fish bbq with beautiful white wine to match - what an evening it turned out to be! No bit of noise was too loud, no bit of dancing was too outrageous, and nothing was too much to ask - they couldn't have been more generous with their time. Alongside the wonderful hosts, is their beautiful home - perfect for every type of party whether it be family, friends, colleagues or whatever. There are many nooks and crannys, plenty of areas to get your own space, great kitchens and kitchen facilities.... the babys can even enjoy the peace and quiet in what seems to be sound proof rooms, whilst the elders enjoy a party with the music pumping. No matter what, you'll have a very comfortable stay in this home - I would highly recommend it!

Wonderful experience!

Southern Sicily at it's best, a self- contained resort at affordable prices set in a charming old villa a few kms from the port town of Mazara del Vallo. Hosts Francesco and Leyani are the greatest- friendly, helpful as well as good cooks. This is a part of Italy a little bit off the tourist trail where prices are cheap, the locals friendly and stunning scenery within easy reach. Our party of 21 people had a memorable time!
