It was a very pleasant stay. The haouse is even better than on the photos.

The Old School has a very cosy and charming atmosphere. The views are marvellous and Portnahaven is such a beautiful small village.

Amazing location

The location is very very lovely. A great balance between old architecture in the external parts and the fully equipped furnitures. After three days, we had the opportunity to appreciate the variety of glasses, the high quality of dishes and cookware (Villeroy & Boch and Le Creuset!!!) and the details in the home furnishing. We enjoyed beautiful whiskey tasting on very comfortable leather sofa and armchairs. Everything was perfect. I do hope we can come again sooner or later!

This is a self catering business so never saw any staff or met any one involved in the business. Initial contact was good but information re check in came unexpectedly via Whats App message.

A brilliantly unique stay in a great, picturesque location

We were getting married at the Rhinns Hall and staying in the Old School House was absolutely perfect for this. We were so close to the hall that it made all wedding logistics so much easier and we acted like a hub for all our friends and family. The house was big but cosy and the perfect place to stay. Thank you for accommodating us on our special day.

STUNNING!

Never has school seemed so enchanting.This conversion gets an A+ for interior design and comfort. The 6 of us loved being there, walking to the Seafood Shack and local pub. It was a lovely base camp for trips to distilleries. The place resonates with happiness and beautiful views.

We were a party of seven and had a wonderful, extremely comfortable, stay in The Old School.

We loved the big communal kitchen with the cosy wood burning stove and had many enjoyable meals. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms and showers etc very good. The rooms are spaced out so you can be together, but also have your own space. There is also a living room with wood burner and TV etc. All round excellent accommodation in a lovely wee port village.
