I am glad you enjoyed your stay it was nice to have you. I am hoping the wifi will be better soon as I am mounting a new router closer to the cottage you stayed in. That cottage does have the weakest signal of all currently because the walls are so thick. Thanks Phil and Sue

Fantastic accommodation and friendly service

We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding - 6 adults and 4 children across 2 Cottages. The cottages had everything we needed and the garden was an added bonus with the children. Everything was clean and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable. Lovely countryside location.

Lovely cottage, would highly recommend

We stayed for 2 nights in October visiting family nearby - Philip welcomed us and showed us around even though we were much later than expected - the cottage was very spacious and very clean and comfortable - even better than the photos show! Well equipped kitchen and lots of toys and games available which was a big bonus as my children were kept entertained whilst we were there,

Place to stay

Very pleased with Martin Lane self catering no hassle lovely place to stay and 100% will be back.. Friendly family run rural cottages and you really don't need to bring anything other than food. Brilliant

Great location for family activities

We stayed from Sunday to Saturday in October. We immediately felt it was a welcoming cottage, with a large bright living room and two big sofas. We were able to visit the beach at Formby, Windmill animal farm (twice!), the wetlands, Rivington Pike etc with ease. Lovely Booths supermarket was very close too.

Thank you for leaving a nice review and for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy. We are currently working on the room next to the cottage where soil was above the damp course causing some damp in the side wall. It should be resolved soon. Thanks you Phil, Sue and Charlie

Lovely accommodation in peaceful location

Our reasons for staying were sad – the funeral of my Dad in nearby Southport. But the lovely accommodation in a peaceful location helped the occasion enormously, enabling us to relax and taking away a layer of stress. Special thanks to the owners for their flexibility and generosity in meeting our needs. We all loved staying in The Granary, and we hope to visit again as a family in happier moments.

A Perfect Break

What a find, a lovely little cottage beautifully and tastefully furnished, clean and cosy,in peaceful countryside. Owners friendly without being overpowering, and nothing too much trouble, even offering the ability to charge our plug in hybrid car, an unexpected and much appreciated bonus, and loaning the cable. By far the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in, everything we could possibly want was provided, the perfect base to visit our daughter in Liverpool,the coast, parks and gardens.
