Absolutely stunning - views are breathtaking and it is so peaceful. The Sigarloaf is lovely and spacious and clean. Love the separate onside utility room with the dog wash! Will definetly be returning!

great stay for walkers

We had a lovely stay despite the weather. The property was comfortable and clean. Being able to walk from the property was a real bonus, and the local walks were beautiful. The guidance on local walks was also really useful, and the opportunity to have shiatsu treatments as well really made the holiday.

Beautiful Break once again

We stayed for a long weekend, returning having previously stayed the previous year. Once again the accommodation was spotless, modern, and with superb views in a beautiful part of the country.

Ideal accommodation for both the active and those who love a great view

Sugar loaf is comfortable, well appointed and very clean. Kitchen appliances are easy to use and temperature control easy. A real relaxing home from home. Car parking right outside.

great weekend stay in a lovely location

we had a great weekend at Sugarloaf, with fabulous weather throughout - we had a lovely meal (and pint) at The Star on Friday evening, a very good curry delivered (by Kelly) for Saturday evening, and even managed a really lovely 90th birthday celebration for my Dad outside on the patio on Sunday! As good as it gets...

Wonderful accommodation in delightful location

We met up with old friends and could do so in a safe way because the cottage is so spacious. It's the prefect base for exploring the local area with lots of local walks as well - the host is very knowledgeable about these. For us, being about to relax in comfort, to hardly have to use the car and simply chill out was just perfect. Can't recommend highly enough and would definitely go back at the first opportunity!

Cycling Weekend with Friends

Two night stay with a group of friends. We’d been planning and training for a 100mile bike ride around the Wye Valley

A fantastic stay in this lovely property

This property facilitated a great weekend getting the family all together. Each bedroom has very comfy beds and smart, clean ensuites. The living space is excellent with plenty of room for the kids to play and folding doors to outside space. The ability to lock our bikes in a secure outbuilding and wash them after use was a real bonus. We also made use of the forest right on the doorstep to have a nice walk around after we arrived.

Tranquil and scenic

A beautiful view and tranquil location. We loved our walks in the surrounding forest with amazing views across to The Severn Bridge, Prince of Wales Bridge and bay -just stunning. Also Chepstow pubs and Tintern Abbey did not disappoint! We were comfortable and it was great to chat to Chris and husband who were very informative and helpful. The natural pond and rewinding in the meadows with all the spring flowers add to the magic and natural beauty of the valley.

Welsh Marches

Beautifully converted outbuildings on a small working farm just over the border into Wales. Furnished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. The very comfortable beds and quiet surroundings ensured a relaxing break. There is plenty to do in the area with many walking and cycling routes. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, we look forward to a return trip.
