House rules:
Groups / young people <25 years are not allowed in this holiday home.
No pets allowed
Bed linen rental is compulsory. (not for baby's 0-2)
Renting towels is optional, costs 10 euros per set of two towels. S.v.p. at least 1 week before arrival.
The deposit will be refunded to you as soon as possible, but certainly within two weeks.
We find the house most comfortable with an occupancy of 4 (because of the beds and because there is only 1 toilet in the house)
Holiday home de Kanoet is an attractive and comfortable detached house in a quiet location, in a beautiful area near the beach and the lighthouse of Haamstede. In five minutes you cycle to the beach crossing at the Vuurtorenpad. The center of Burgh Haamstede can be reached within 15 minutes by bike, here are several restaurants, shops and a supermarket. A recreation park with a (indoor) playground, mini golf and tennis courts is a fifteen minute bike ride away. In twenty minutes you are in the beautiful town of Zierikzee with monumental buildings, cozy shops, restaurants and the marina. Making trips to the provincial capital Middelburg, the picturesque Veere and the various small villages is highly recommended. At Dreischor you can visit a vineyard where the best Zeeland white wine is made.
House layout:
Through the hall you enter the living room. Here is a cozy sitting area with a small wood stove. From the living room you can go through the garden door to one of the terraces with dining table. Adjacent to the living room is the spacious kitchen with dining area. The kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences. You can walk into the backyard through the French doors. Here is a second terrace. From the hall you have access to the simple, small bathroom with walk-in shower, sink, toilet, washing machine and dryer. You also enter the two bedrooms through the hall. One with a double bed with two separate mattresses (2x 90x200) and one with two single beds (90x200) and a loft with two more single mattresses on a low slatted base. This is a possible place to sleep for children from the age of aprox. 8 (because of the steep stairs).
