La Petite Maison sleeping a couple, is a comfortably appointed Gite within a renovated 18th Century stone Mas.
Mas Grandiflora is just 10 minutes from Perpignan International airport within the historic village of Espira de L'Agly.
La Petite Maison is as the name suggests a small house with a private terrace/garden with table, chairs and brick built barbecue. Entering directly from the terrace the Gite has a small living/ dining area and kitchenette with hob and microwave. The shower room is also on the ground floor. A double bed is located on the mezzanine accessible via an open tread staircase.
The shared pool (open May to September) is the perfect place to relax with sun loungers and sun parasols..
We also have 2 other Gites on the premises. La Bougainvillea sleeps 2-6, L'Hibiscus sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children sharing a sofa bed.

Excellent location

La petite maison is a fantastic location to explore the Pyrénées-Orientales. Close to the beaches and the Cathar castles. The hosts welcome you to their beautiful home, with the use of the swimming pool and being able to sunbathe around it, a great addition.

Très bien accueillis dans Cette charmante petite maison très agréable et arborée. Ne conseil pas à des personnes d un certain âge car l accès à l étage pour la chambre est assez raide. Logement très bien situé 20 min de la mer 20 min de l Espagne en 1h de voiture maximum beaucoup de choses à visiter.

Great location and great hospitality

In a lovely but very quiet village. Ideal for exploring the region. Accommodation and pool were first class. Everything you need. Small Spar shop to get the essentials and a great kitchen for self catering. Well furnished and in good condition. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time staying in 'La Petite Maison'. This house is perfect for a couple wanting a nice relaxing holiday. The house was very clean and private with Julia and Julien just next door if we needed any advice.They were very friendly and helped us with where to go/what to do if we needed it. The town is lovely and very quiet with a local Spa shop, bakery, bar and restaurant. We had a hire car for the week which came in handy to get to the house, as well as nearby beaches, markets and castles. I would recommend this to couples/families wanting a relaxing break and we hope to return in the future.

A great holiday at 'La Petite Maison'

La Petite Maison served us so well, we couldn't have been happier with our surroundings and enjoyed having our own private garden with BBQ. The property is situated in the heart of Espira, which has a fantastic Boulangerie, a Butchers and for everything else a spar. Its quiet and in the evenings we enjoyed quite a show from the birds coming into roost. The owners are great, Alvin and Elaine were very hospitable and happy to guide us in our exploration of the area. Elaine was especially helpful when planing a day out in Barcelona. The property was clean and well equipped, even having beach towels which we made good use of, visiting a number of beaches, some with views of the Pyrenees. Espira is close enough to so many amazing places. We enjoyed driving to Port Vendres and from there going on a coastal walks and finding secluded beaches. Perpignan has the most beautiful Church which is well worth a visit. Whatever your choice of holiday, be it a complete rest or an adventure, its all possible from here. We highly recommend La Petite Maison and will defiantly be returning!

La petite maison du 14 au 28 août 2010

Nous avons passé en couple un excellent séjour dans la petite maison : petite batisse pleine de charme au milieu d'une végétation luxuriante... nous avons même eu droit à des figues. L'intérieur de la petite maison a beaucoup de charme et dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires au séjour. La piscine est superbe et bien exposée. Le gîte est situé en plein centre d'Espira ce qui facilite les déplacements tout en étant calme. Le village dispose de l'essentiel (boulangerie, boucher, tabac, etc...) et d'un super restaurant "Le Jaumet" tenu par un couple très sympathique passionné d'animaux. Quant à Alvin et Elaine, les propriétaires du gîte, ils sont très accueillants, à l'écoute, tout en restant discrets et l'ensemble de la propriété est d'une propreté remarquable. Le village d'Espira n'est pas très loin de l'aéroport, de Perpignan et est particulièrement bien situé pour découvrir les richesses des Pyrénées Orientales. Sans aucun doute une adresse à recommander... mais pas en même temps que nous !!!! Corinne Steciw et Philippe Douay

Fantastic property, good location

We arrived at the property following a short drive from the airport to a warm and welcoming greeting by the owners. We were staying in "le petit maison" which had its own private, well maintained garden full of vines, fig tree and palms. Very secluded and perfect for getting away from it all. The owners are fantastic, very knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area and gave us some great tips on where to visit. I would recommend a trip to Collioure (about 30 -40 mins drive down the coast). It is beautiful. Has some gorgeous restaurants and a lovely beach. If you love art and jewellery, this is definitely the place to come. The village itself has all basic amenities, bakers, spar shop and tabac. We had a lovely meal at Le Jaumet, the villages only restaurant. The food was great and the hospitality was fantastic. So much so we were invited to have drinks with the owner and their friends! We stayed for 2 weeks, had a car for the first and used the local bus service the second. 1Euro anywhere within the local area was great value. I would say that the local transport system is a little limited, however we were still able to get around and see the places we wanted to. The accomodation itself was clean, with a well stocked kitchen area and outdoor brick BBQ. We ate outside most days. The swimming pool area is really lovely after a long day out seeing the sights. the owners are lovely: very helpful, thoughtful and onsiderate of their guests needs. I cannot recommend this property enough. Excellent value, loads of things to see and do anf fabulous hospitality.
