🏡 Historic 17th-Century House with Private Pool in Village Square
Located in the heart of the village square, this unique home—once a family-run textile factory with parts dating back to the 17th century—offers a peaceful, character-filled retreat. Beautifully restored, it combines original features with modern comfort. Enjoy your private pool 🏊‍♂️, just steps from cafés and local life. Despite the central location, the house is calm, with only birdsong and the occasional church bell. Just 20 minutes from Barcelona and close to beaches, buses 🚌, and the train.

✨ The Space
Bright, open-plan kitchen and lounge overlooking the pool. Air conditioning, ceiling fan, double-glazed windows, and central heating throughout.

🛏️ Layout & Sleeping
Ground Floor: 2 double beds (180x200 & 160x200 cm), sofa bed (160x200 cm), ceiling fans. First Floor: Open-plan lounge/kitchen with pool views, AC + ceiling fan. Second Bedroom: Please note, the second bedroom is reached via a short outdoor passageway and retains its original historic style, ceiling fan. Bathroom & Laundry: Between floors with pool access.

🌿 Outdoor & Pool
Private pool area with table, chairs, BBQ. Pool open year-round, not heated, not deep enough for diving ⚠️. No pool fencing – children must be supervised at all times. Peaceful, secluded, ideal for relaxing outdoors.

⚠️ Important to Know
Historic property with narrow, steep stairs. No railings – not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Upstairs bedroom keeps original features, including uneven walls and wooden beams. Although thoroughly cleaned before your arrival, some dust may occur during your stay.

🚗 Parking & Transport
Limited “Blue Zone” parking in the square; free parking 5-minute walk away. Direct bus to Barcelona — Moventis bus line 805: Just a 5-minute walk from the property, the bus gets you to Barcelona in 30–40 minutes. Closest train station: Vilassar de Mar (2 km away). Take the Moventis bus line 803 to reach the station. Beach a short distance away.

A beautifully placed taste of paradise

This lovingly restored villa is a wonderful mix of the old and the new. The bathroom and kitchen are stylishly designed, boasting great appliances and the pool is clean and was lovely and warm throughout our stay. The top bedroom Is very cosy and quiet, while the bottom room is spacious and airy. It’s very clean and has been carefully and thoughtfully maintained. Best of all, it’s situated in a really friendly town square, yet because of the thick, old high walls, it feels quiet and secluded when you’re in the house and outside by the pool. We loved the local area and the community. There’s everything you need within walking distance and everyone is very helpful. Any little issues with the villa were dealt with promptly by our approachable hosts and we had a relaxing, comfortable holiday!

Enjoyable stay but some improvement points

We have enjoyed our stay in this nice region. The house is located at a nice church square. Check in process and overall communication with owners was excellent. However, we were confronted with some surprises: -the add mentions airco in the house, but this is only available in the living room (Rooms have a fan). -The (non-renovated) children’s room is located at a separate part of the house, required to pass by a balcony (long distance from parents room), with a balcony of a separate house just below. -WiFi is inexistent. Preferably, the add should be amended to better reflect this reality (especially for parents with young children) Overall cleanliness leaves to be desired. Great restaurants in the immediate area + plenty of commerce stores for provisions

Nice stay just outside Barcelona

We spent six nights at Valentino's house and it was great. The livingroom, kitchen and main bedroom are very spacious with a very high ceiling, giving it a very free and open feel. The outdoor area is also spacious, especially given the house is right outside of the town's main square. The house is well insulated because once in the house the sounds from the square are very distant. The swinning pool is not massive but in accordance with the website photos and very refreshing on hot days. Kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom has all we needed as well. On one of the previous reviews there was a complaint about the distance of second bedroom. This was no issue for us as we used the main one for the four of us but one should not expect it to be used for small kids only. The distance from the town to Barcelona was absolutely fine. We really enjoyed the combination of the more personal town vibe with the day trips to city madness. Thanks Marnie and Jake

Manque de stationnement

Belle maison, un peu trop de marche dans la maison surtout des haute marches, manque de stationnement, piscine propre, beaucoup de nettoyage de la cour de piscine durant le séjour, arbres trop près de la piscine
