The house was very spacious and had everything we needed. Loved the pier for my son to fish on and he loved using the kayak! The owners were very responsive!

Super house with everything we needed and very clean. AC worked good for our preference of keeping it very cold at night. Shower pressure was great and plenty of hot water that never ran out after 4 showers in a row. Beautiful view of lake and only 1 hour from the park. Thanks for hosting us.

This was our second time renting this lovely house on Lake Hartwell, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The home was clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the easy access to the lake and enjoyed using the kayaks provided to explore the water. Watching the wildlife was a daily treat, and the provided firewood made for cozy evenings by the fire. Most of our meals were enjoyed outside, soaking in the beautiful surroundings. The fenced yard was a real bonus, and we even met some wonderful neighbors. We plan to return and highly recommend this home to others!

Repeat customer

This was my second time staying. I didn’t think it could be any better than the first time but it was. Each night I saw 15-20 at a time between the house and the lake. I sat on the back porch watching them play and eat and they were not bothered I was there. Very peaceful setting on the lake. Highly recommend.

Perfect Lake House

This place was amazing. The views of the lake were beautiful whether inside the house looking through the large windows or out in the yard. Even saw 2 deer walking through the yard one morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Just what the Doctor ordered!

Definitely tucked away & most serene.. we fell in love on our first “herd” of deer came sauntering through! Certainly we had to mosey over to Toccoa, sweet pretty 15-20 mins to buy feed corn & wild bird food! Magical week on the lake & even caught & released a nice bluegill& catfish! Sweet, sweet surrender!

Weekend in Gumlog

The deer walked back and forth behind the house all weekend. One young Piebald. The house and property were as advertised. We used the kayaks and the canoe to paddle around the creek and catch a few fish. It’s easy to get down to the lake from the house. Good experience overall.

Wonderful stay

We love this home. It was perfect for our visit with our daughter at UGA. We stayed for a long weekend, spent one day just enjoying the house, the lake. It was very clean, well maintained and beautiful. We look forward to coming back to stay.

Wonderful lake house

We have stayed in alot of cabins on Lake Hartwell over the years. This one has everything you need. Well stocked kitchen. Easy walk to the dock and we really enjoyed feeding the deer.

Serene, Gorgeous Views with all the Comforts!

Lovely Lake Hartwell weekend

We had a wonderful time. We are a group of 4 age 50 and 60+ friends and neighbors who were meeting up for a quiet weekend. The hosts were great and very accomodating. The house is on my favorite lake Hartwell inlet -- complete with morning and nightly groups of deer going by. Peaceful and quiet. We met one neighbor who was very nice -- houses are close together but no one was really around. The house is super well equipped and very clean. We kayaked, grilled out, ate on the deck and enjoyed the fantastic early fall weather. Great star gazing! One thing is that all windows are screwed shut so no way to let in the fresh air. 4 stars are due to the windows and close by neighbors. Overall really great - thanks for sharing your home with us!

Cute and clean house

We had a nice stay at this vacation house on Lake Hartwell. The house was exceptionally clean—by far the cleanest out of several we’ve rented this year. It was well-appointed, with firm and very comfortable beds. Lake access was easy, though the dock was small and the water shallow. The neighboring houses are quite close, but we only encountered one very friendly couple next door for a few days. If all the houses would have beed occupied this place might have felt less private, just something to keep in mind especially if you prefer privacy. In the area we had seen many dogs, they seemed nice and well behaved. Unfortunately, there was no power for the first day due to a downed powerline, which made the first night warm and required flashlights to get around. Despite that, we enjoyed our time at the lake. There is nice to see the wildlife thriving in the area —lots of deer! We even bought corn to feed them. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
