Inside a 1880 historical building in a cosmopolitan neighborhood is located our beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom property*** with an unique design: Natural light-floods from sound-proof-glazed balconies mirror bustling Fuencarral's pedestrian-shopping street into a 21m2 lounge and a 18m2 kitchen. Down the hall hidden from the gathering-area and covered by a dim-light from the inside courtyard opens the big master bedroom with a12m2 walk-in-closet and en-suite bathroom, a 8m2 double room and a small bathroom.

Diaphanous space combines XXI century needs with modern fully-equipped kitchen, Nespresso machine, unlimited powerful hot water, high speed internet, silent air-con in all rooms, thermostat-heat control, 50 inches' 4k TV (Netflix app available), absorbent towels & soft bed linens, security door and a safe to make you fell at home.

***This unit is in a non-wheelchair access building as all guests must climb a flight of stairs to reach apartment door. The lift was built-in the courtyard due to the building staircase's historical relevance. Therefore the lift door gives access between floors.

Month in Madrid

Apartment was very spacious and well-equipped in a central location on a bustling pedestrian street. Bedrooms were quiet, wi-fi was fast, and all amenities were provided. Host was very responsive.

Incredible apartment and location

We visited Spain as a group of four friends and stayed here. The location was fantastic and the apartment was very comfortable. Gigi was also incredibly helpful in coordinating our transportation to/from the airport. I would highly recommend staying here.

Madrid stay

Beautiful apartment in a wonderful location. We walked everywhere we needed to go. Close to shopping, restaurants, bars and many points of interest. Would definitely stay again.

Great property and host

This property is in an excellent location and has all the amenities you could ask for. The host was one of the best communicators I have ever dealt with. She went even so far as to arrange transportation for us. I highly recommend this location.

Awesome stay!

The apartment location was excellent. Walking distance to everything - subway, shops, city tour bus, etc. Inside it was amazingly quiet despite the activity below. The apartment was clean and spacious. The host Gigi was super to work with, very attentive. Julio, our local transportation, made everything very easy. Great place! Highly recommend!

Great stay!

Great host, location, information book, and facility. Gigi and her team responded within minutes regarding any questions or concerns. Shuttle service provided, for a reasonable fee, was an added nice stress free bonus. They handled one issue promptly and very satisfactorily. We’d happily stay here again if lucky enough to visit Madrid again.

Great apartment in the heart of Madrid

A very comfortable, well appointed apartment, with very comfortable beds and a splendid large stylish bathroom en suite. Sadly the second bathroom is far too small for anyone even slightly larger than average size. It was extremely hot during our stay and the air conditioning really couldn’t cope so it was constantly too hot in the apartment. But overall we enjoyed our stay in this apartment.

Quiet bedrooms in a convenient central location

This is a beautiful, clean, well equipped apartment in a fabulous location. It's on a lively "happening" street, walking distance to many of the major sights. Despite the activity on the street, the bedrooms are wonderfully quiet. The common areas are lovely and comfortable. Gigi provides a wealth of information and goes out of her way to make the stay pleasant. The only drawback for us was the discrepancy between the bedrooms. The master suite is grand and luxurious, but the other bedroom and bath are small and confining. We would heartily recommend the apartment for a couple or a couple with kids, rather than two retired couples.

Very Good

The property was as depicted in the pictures and was in a great. Air conditioning worked fine and beds were comfortable. The only negative was that the host did not meet us at the property and we could not get in until after 2:00pm when our plane had landed at 9:00am. I got text saying we had to pick up keys from other location and that it was a "2 minute walk" from property. There were 3 of us with 6 bags of luggage. This was very inconvenient! So property good but service not so good.

Excellent apartment in Fuencarral-Chueca area

This apartment in Fuencarral-Chueca was fabulous! It was a great apartment inside meeting all our needs and then some. Very comfortable for our family of 6. Very clean and accurately described in the listing. Nice big screen tv which we often did not see in other european apartments that we have rented. We also loved that it was so well located in such a nice area of Madrid. Walking distance to a great shopping and people watching area and very close to the Grand Via and Puerto del Sol. Jacqueline helped us out a lot on requests that she really didn't need to--but we really appreciated it. Only problem was that there was some construction going on outside on the face of the building so there was a lot of dust all over in the ground floor hallway but this did not hamper our stay and in fact, Jacqueline told us about this as we were exchanging emails before booking the unit. Will definitely stay here again when we go to Madrid in the future. Shaun

Malasana apt on the pedestrian mall

Apt faces the pedestrian mall and has activity till the early hours. Bedrooms are towards the back of the unit so none of the evening/late night activity was heard. Apt is located near many restaurants and small markets and nearby a pharmacy as well as many retail shops. The only attraction that was nearby was the History Museum of Madrid. All other attractions were about a mile of more away so walking or the metro or taxi was used. Owner suggested a taxi driver to use for pick up from the train station. Julio was very engaging and helpful. We also arranged for a taxi to take us to the Madrid Aiport at 5:45a for an 8:00a departure and he was on time. A nice touch my the owner to arrange the use of a taxi In the apt the master BR bed was comforatable. However the shower lacked much hot water. I adjusted the temp control per the instructions in the apt binder but no improvement. Also there were no instructions in the binder regarding how to turn on the stove top. Through emails, the owner sent instructions that allowed me to use the stove top.. Heating system worked. Neighbors both above and next to the apt were very quiet.

Love this apartment!

This our second time staying in this apartment. We were here last year, and when we decided to return to Madrid we knew we had to stay in the same great place! The apartment is so convenient to shops, restaurants, metro and the Gran Via. You're in the middle of everything, but the bedrooms are in the back so there's no problem with noise keeping you awake. Speaking of bedrooms, the master suite is huge, and the bed is so comfortable that it was hard for me to get up every day! Gigi is a great host, and is terrific about communicating with you if you have any questions. I have rented apartments all over Europe and I can say this is one of the best I've stayed in. Highly recommend!

Everything was advertised and more. Set up helpful transport from airport. Responses were prompt through app. Explained vrbo process to a first time user. I really, really enjoyed the neighborhood. I had an amazing trip.

Positives and negatives

Positives - Central and busy location yet very quiet in the apartment; kitchen and living area spacious and well equipped. Negatives - extra charge for 4th person, even though it's advertised as an apartment for 4 people! Huge discrepancy in size of the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms with one being huge and the other minuscule. Probably better for a family with children, than for 4 adults.

FANTASTIC PLACE!!!!

My husband my daughter and I we stayed in this apt. for a month during Christmas holidays. We had a great time! The location could not be better. You can walk pretty much everywhere, from El Rastro to El Retiro or the royal Palace. The apt. was beautiful and very cozy, and with great decoration. I definetly appreciated how clean it was, the very confortable bed, the jacuzzi bathtub and a central heat system that kept us really warm during the cold days of Madrid winter. Eventough the location its on a busy street the apt. was VERY quiet, it has amazing windows that kept noise out. Gisela was great at communicating and gave all kinds of tips for visiting Madrid. She had a binder with all kind of information about the place and the area, really helpful. We had a great stay, and our experience was really positive. I will highly recommended to anyone who wants to be in a great place and close to everything.

A great place at the right location to enjoy Madrid!

We chose this location because it was near metro and bus stations plus markets, great shopping areas and mayor tourist attractions within Madrid’s Centro. A perfect location for a first time visit to Madrid. Gigi, the host kindly arranged for a transfer from the airport to the apartment; and the driver, Julio brought us the property keys and gave us many details and tips about Madrid that we appreciated and which made for a great and worry-free vacation start. Upon arrival, the apartment was as described and Gigi provided the guests with a fantastic guide which included day trip suggestions with even transportation recommendations, restaurants and eating places, markets plus instructions for all the apartment appliances and hot tub! Its full kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals or to enjoy take out food. Although we were only 2 people enjoying this property, the apartment can host 6 people because of its 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths plus a sofa bed in the living room. Within the apartment highlights were the ample living room with a great sofa and TV to relax while watching a show or movie, the nicely supplied kitchen, the comfortable rooms and beds, the sound proofing windows that made the apartment very quiet even while in a very busy street, and the building’s elevator. The comfortable master bedroom bed and the full bath with a hot tub, which that alone was what took this rental over the top. This provided us with a spa feel and experience and was fantastic for soaking and relaxing after a long day of walking around the city. Gigi, a fantastic host and property manager, was also very responsive to any questions or emails and would answer them within minutes. Something that we truly appreciated. We highly recommend this apartment for a comfortable and memorable Madrid vacation. If we are lucky enough to do a second vacation to Madrid, we want to stay here again!

Cute apartment in a lively neighborhood

We had good communication with the owner Gisela. She did help us arrange a ride from the airport as we arrived in Christmas Day. There was a bit of a miscommunication with the ride service and we ended up waiting an hour at the airport. This was not the fault of the owner but I would recommend using taxis or Uber. The only good part was that the taxi driver delivered the keys for the apartment which simplified check in. The apartment itself is in a lively shopping district with lots of activity at all times of day and night. Coming from a sleepy beach town, we actually likes this. Although it was a noisy street the windows had enough sound proofing that we were not bothered. We are a family of five and this apartment had plenty of space. The second bathroom is tiny but functional and the main bathroom is huge. The kitchen and living areas had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The place is vey cute and has a nice decor. We would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to be in an active neighborhood with tons of shopping and people watching. We walked everywhere and didn’t feel the need to get a taxi. The location is good for this. My only recommendation is that we could have used some extra towels and bedding as the washing machine did not have a dryer so it was difficult to wash and wait for things to line dry. Overall we had a great time. Thanks Gisela and thank you Madrid.

First time in Madrid - Fall of 2019

It was our family's first time visiting Madrid and we had our 78 year old father along for the journey. This property met all of our needs. The location is great -- there is a lot of interesting retail, food and drink options within walking distance. It's only a 10-15 minute Uber, Taxi or Metro trip to many other vibrant areas of Madrid and only 25 minutes to/from the airport. Gisela's process for check-in and check-out is uncomplicated and efficient. She was very responsive throughout our experience. Thank you, Gisela, for helping to make our visit to Madrid a memorable experience!

Wonderful experience. The description and pictures of property is accurate. Well furnished to meet all needs and the air conditioning worked well and was much needed. Prime location to experience Madrid

Busy pedestrian street in front of property, but with the windows closed it was very quiet inside. This property had air conditioning which made it very comfortable. It was within walking distance to all of the attractions that we were interested in. We would rent this place again.
