この宿泊施設の特徴
One of the region's most attractive locations is undoubtedly the beach of Vela Plaža, the most popular with those who come to swim in the area. One of Baška's symbols, and a key element in its landscape, it is 1,800 metres (1.1. mi) long and faces a crystal-clear sea. Since 1999 it has been the proud recipieng of the European Blue Flag award, which testifies to its high-quality standards. Many activities and entertainments await visitors there: restaurants and cafes are present all around it, and pedal boats, windsurf boards, beach umbrellas, and sun loungers are available for rent.Besides Vela Plaža, Baška is also home to more than thirty beaches; the most famous of these are the ones near the bays of Vela Luka and Mala Luka, the FKK beach near the Bunculuka camp, and the beaches of Konjska, Vrženica, Jablanovo, Storišće, and Dubna.
The 90 kilometres (56 mi) of marked hiking trails to be found in Baška provide the opportunity to familiarise oneself with the area in a radically innovative fashion. Once the “Trail to the Moon and Back" has been followed all the way up to the „Moon Plateau“, a visit may be paid to the church of St. Lucy, where one of the most valuable monuments of Croatian history - the Baška tablet- has been found; those who wish to devote the entire day to hiking, on the other hand, may choose to follow the trail as far as the bird sanctuary of Kuntrep.
In the early morning hours in the summer months a walk to either Vela Luka or Mala Luka is warmly recommended: visitors may enjoy these beautiful bays until the late afternoon, and then make their way back into town in the comfortable shade afforded by the falling evening.
There is a rich selection of trails from which visitors may choose; regardless of which one they pick, it can be guaranteed that there will be a special moment and a stunning view that will make their hiking efforts worth their while.
The network of cycling trails begins right after the Krk Bridge and may be followed all the way to Baška, where both road and mountain biking trails await visitors to show them some of the most beautiful views they will ever encounter in their lives. Cycling is a great way to release the stress of everyday life, and Baška provides the chance to pedal through some of the most beautiful landscapes ever.
Besides the 11 km-long trail from Zarok to Draga Bašćanska, which is suitable for beginners and families with children, there is a popular mountain bike route that leads to the "Moon Plateau". The reason behind its popularity becomes clear after some pedalling: despite the route's level of difficulty, there is a postcard view around every corner, as well as new vantage points from which to observe Baška's many sights. The Church of St. John constitutes an unmissable stop, and is a place many will undoubtedly visit repeatedly: indeed, the view available from there is nothing short of magic, both in the morning and in the late afternoon.
To get to know the diverse underwater world of our sea, we recommend visiting the Baška Aquarium. In the center of Baška, on an area of 200m2, you will find twenty-one aquariums and 35m3 of sea, with a wide variety of Adriatic fish (catfish, moray eels, lobster, dusky grouper, octopus ...) and one of the largest collections of the Adriatic shells and sea snails in Croatia!A visit to the Baška Aquarium is a fun-filled activity for both adults and youngsters. Over 100 species of fish and 400 species of shellfish and sea snails guarantee a great time spent learning, enjoying and discovering the fascinating life of the Croatian underwater world.
The walk to the Moon Plateau never fails to make every visit to Baška truly unforgettable, as it offers access to one of Baška's most popular locations, as well as a unique experience of the local nature against the backdrop of a site of historical interest. The first part of the trail takes visitors to the Church of St. John the Baptist, in front of which there is a panoramic viewpoint; some of the most recognizable pictures of Baška, such as the stunning view of the Baška valley, the island of Prvić, the local blue sea, and Baška's iconographic Vela Plaža, were taken there.
The Glagolitic inscriptions are one of Baška's trademarks and a significant part of its history; they are therefore essential for its cultural promotion. In order to make all visitors acquainted with the Glagolitic inscriptions in a more exciting way, the Sinjali Society for the promotion of Baška's Culture, Ecology and Tradition launched the Baška's Glagolitic Trail project, which was completed in 2009. Baška's Glagolitic Trail develops through the local cobble-stoned streets and the area's extensive natural beauty. It is the best way to discover the history that shaped the town and all the Glagolitic letters that constitute both a local trademark and an invaluable cultural seal of Baška’s history.
