Located in the quintessential Norfolk village of Edgefield, overlooking the duck pond, Pond Cottage is a charming hideaway ideal for a family, small group of friends, or couples, at any time of the year. Situated a short walk from an excellent village pub, and within easy reach of beaches, Pond Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore all that North Norfolk has to offer.

This super-stylish semi detached cottage has fashionably modern fixtures and fittings combined with lush, eclectic furnishings and antique furniture. With cosy wood burning stove for the winter months and an outside area for al fresco dining during lazy summer afternoons and balmy Norfolk evenings, it makes a great escape throughout the year.

A well-equipped dining / kitchen opens onto a light and airy sitting room with a door leading to the sunny, fully enclosed garden - perfect for your early morning coffee and croissant, as well as secure for both children and dogs to play safely. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a beautifully reupholstered 19th century French king-size bed, and the other having twin singles. Also on the first floor is the family shower room featuring a large, luxurious walk-in shower.

Pond Cottage offers the opportunity to spend quality time away together in a beautiful cottage at the heart of a fabulous village. Pond Cottage is a short drive from the bustling Georgian market town of Holt, and less than half an hour from the many stunning Blue Flag beaches along the North Norfolk coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

For larger parties, The Forge, located two doors down, sleeps two people. Both cottages can be booked together, listed as The Forge (Edgefield).

Very enjoyable stay in a beautifully presented cottage

Really enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed in a lovely location. Made extremely welcome by the owner who provided a wonderful package of food & drink to start our holiday. Pond cottage is beautifully decorated with fab quirky furnishings. Would highly recommend, the area has so much to offer! A week wasn’t enough to see everything…. Thanks very much.

English Country Cottage

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pond Cottage. The English cottage front garden welcomed us into the well equipped kitchen (thanks for the welcome pack and store cupboard) and comfortable sitting room with log burner and stylish sofa and chairs. The charming rear garden was fully enclosed with a lovely seating area and perfect for dogs to play safely. Loved the wood store cum boot house! Very comfortable beds with loads of drawer and hanging space and excellent shower room. Pond cottage is peacefully situated in Edgefield away from the main road and is a perfect base to explore the lovely coast, gardens and villages in North Norfolk. Everywhere seemed to be within thirty minutes drive. Wished we had stayed longer as we ran out of time!! Many thanks, hope to return!

A Lovely Easter Weekend and Pond Cottage

We enjoyed a lovely Easter weekend break at Pond Cottage, the cottage was well appointed and had a generous welcome pack. The Cottage was well kept and very clean and comfortable with a lovely outdoor space. It was ideally situated to explore the North Norfolk coast and Holt. The local pub The Pigs was within walking distance and served a great evening meal and breakfast. Would highly recommend the cottage and location.

Pond cottage is very clean, comfortable and cosy & all the little touches like the planet friendly products were appreciated. It’s a great location to explore North Norfolk. The hosts were fantastic and couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Definitely going back for another visit

Beautiful Cottage

Edgefield is an area I haven’t visited before. It is beautiful with easy access to great walking. The cottage is beautifully furnished upstairs but needs better seating in the lounge area. The lighting was poor but the owners assured me they would deal with this. I really enjoyed my stay in this beautiful area.

Comfy and cosy

Pond Cottage is a lovely place to stay. The cottage is quaint but has all the modern equipment you might need for a stay. it also has a pretty, sunny garden with a table and chairs which offers a pleasant place to sit for a while. The hosts had left a welcome pack for us so we had a few food essentials to tide us over when we first arrived. We also appreciated the extra bottles of wine which one could purchase-useful as there isn't a shop in the village. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay at Pond Cottage.

Great little cottage, we’ll be back!

The property has been refurbished and decorated to a very high standard, and Nigel and Vanessa couldn’t have been any more welcoming. The bed and linen was very comfortable and the welcome pack of bread, milk, butter, fruit, juice and wine was a lovely thought. Great location for exploring North Norfolk and the coast with some great pubs nearby.

Fabulous Cottage

We had a fantastic stay at Pond Cottage! Fabulous location, close to Holt with all its lovely shops and restaurants and Sunday market. Beaches were amazing, especially Holkham and Weybourne is super close. Hosts were very kind and provided useful local knowledge. The cottage was perfect for the four of us, well equipped and spotless on arrival. Only recommendation would be to have an outdoor BBQ. Would highly recommend! Thank you

Superior cottage and garden.

This is a really lovely cottage with everything provided for a relaxing getaway. With beautifully designed interior and gardens this is a perfect place to explore Norfolk. We don’t usually go back to the same place twice but would definitely return here in the future.

A long weekend break in a lovely part of England.

A beautiful cottage with a lovely relaxing atmosphere and set in a peaceful little village overlooking the duck pond. The location was great for easy access to the coast and countryside. The welcome pack was a lovely addition. We were made to feel very welcome by the locals and would definitely return.

Lovely Cottage

We were only the 3rd vistors to this newly restored cottage, which is attached to the owners property. Comforable beds and good shower.Excellent facilities - although we ate out everyday. We walked to Byford's The Pigs twice and ate there and it was OK - not brilliant. Hard to think of anything negative to say but a couple of things to point out are that the stairs are quite steep with small steps and there are only 3 soft furnished chairs in the lounge (with one wooden chair) if 4 people were staying. In summary, a lovely cottage in a good position - would stay again.

An excellent place to spend a weekend

Close enough to the various places & people we wanted to visit and yet away from the madding crowd. The bonus being The Pigs in walking distance.
