Wallace Lodge - Unique experience

Wallace Lodge is situated on the edge of the privately owned Cowden Loch (Trout fishing) at Loch View Farm. The lodge is a south-facing, traditional home with idyllic surroundings and beautiful scenery. The tranquil village of Comrie is situated 2 miles away, with the picturesque town of Crieff, 6 miles away. Perth and Stirling are 30 minutes away, with Glasgow and Edinburgh one hour away. Wallace Lodge is ideal for a quiet holiday, which could include fishing (additional cost), golfing (additional cost), tennis, cycling or hiking, along with relaxing in your own private hot tub right on the loch side. It is also a fantastic spot to watch wildlife and look at the stars on a clear night.

It has a fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful loch side view from the living room window as well as a 49 inch smart TV. The house has two double beds, three single beds and a bunk bed. Both double beds are en suite with showers and there is a separate bathroom with a bath. Both single beds and bunk bed rooms have a wash basin in them. Upstairs, there is a large living room with another 49 inch smart TV along with a Nintendo Wii and plenty of board games, books and puzzles to entertain.

There is a Utility room with a washing machine and also a carport where there is a BBQ. You can also sit outside right on the waters edge and enjoy the beautiful setting of Wallace Lodge.

Summer stay

Location of this cottage is absolutely perfect. Everything in the cottage was tidy and clean and the kitchen was very well supplied. Wallace has been an amazing host. Certainly will be coming back if we ever visit this part of scotland again.

Fantastic location for quiet break

We stayed here over the New Year for a family holiday and we were not disappointed. The lodge itself was lovely and clean, very well equipped ( grandkids loved the Nintendo Wii ) and the view over the loch was stunning. The weather was snowy and cold but we still made good use of the hot tub. The kids had brought their sledge's with them and the host, Wallace, pointed us to a safe location to use them. Wallace was very helpful throughout our stay and nothing seemed a bother to him. We all had a fantastic time and we will return in the future. Amazing accommodation and fantastic host.

Calm and Relaxing

Our stay at the Wallace Lodge was seemless from booking to checking out. Wallace communicated with us immediately after booking and advised us of all pertinent information needed for the stay. We took a drive from London to the Wallace Lodge and he waited till our arrival at 2130 to personally greet us and show us around. Everything is as described within the listing. The accomodations provided a beautiful, calm relaxing getaway for our family. It was centrally located allowing us to travel out and see different areas throughout Scotland. Wallace was helpful with providing information of anything that is needed locally. We plan to return again to this amazing property and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a serene location to stay.

Beautiful setting

Loved the peace and quiet of the house. Hot tub was great as was the house. Wallace was a great host, answering questions and very helpful on site.

Delightful Rural Getaway

Wallace Lodge is in a beautiful, remote location that we thoroughly enjoyed. Wallace was a wonderful attentive host and we enjoyed chatting with him and his mother. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. The hot tub was a welcome relief each night from hours of flying overseas and driving excursions. We had a great dinner from the local Fish and Chips shop in Comrie and Crief was just a short drive to get groceries and Aldi and Tesco. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside with the sounds of birds and sheep and the views of the loch (with the swans and their cygnets swimming by). As my father-in-law noted - we never even considered turning on the television, the location was entertainment enough.

Stunning views very relaxed stay!

We all loved our stay here. The view out of the living room window and sitting watching the wildlife on the loch is so relaxing. Nothing was too much bother and the whole booking and arrival was so easy. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. The hot tub just is the icing on the cake and we all loved our time using it. We definitely hope to be back again. Thank you Wallace 😀
