Great base for exploring local area

We had a lovely stay at this cottage with our 2 kids. Cottage was well stocked with essentials and a nice hot shower. Walks straight from the front door, kids loved exploring the old mining valley.

To Be Avoided

There were issues with obtaining the checkin details in a timely manner. Property only superficially clean set in a not very pleasant location with an appalling access road. The boiler was extremely smelly and there were no instructions for the heating. Towels were totally inadequate in this day and age.

ACCOMMODATION OWNERS BEWARE The properties were that bad you booked for your return journey knowing full well the location and the properties. The feedback you have left says more about yourselves then the properties. We have very good feedback and our cleaners take great pride in our properties. Fortunately we don’t have to deal with guests like you very often. You were abuse and over demanding from start to finish. Please don’t come back.

Property well presented with every thing you would require for your stay. Disappointed that although stated there was a garden there was no secure outside space. As I had stated that I would be bringing a dog this was an important factor on booking for me. I think the lack of garden should be made clear on your site.

Holiday cottage

Had a lovely time even though it rained didn’t stop us doing things….. They only things I could fault was no mirror in the bathroom…… plus I didn’t think equipment wise the kitchen was equipped for 4 people…..Plus no manuals on how to work the washer/dryer plus microwave…..Also in the other twelve cottages we have stayed in they have always had basic stuff ….. ie salt pepper there was nothing except washing liquid ….. regards Danny

A Very Comfortable Overnight Stay

Having stayed in Wanlockhead for a week at the end of June 2021, this property seemed like an ideal overnight stay during a house move from the the South Coast to Aberdeen. Within easy distance of the M74 and very peaceful. Loved the bold décor. Excellent nights rest , the downstairs bed was very comfortable and the property spotlessly clean.
