This friendly and informal 4-bedroom villa is perfect for a holiday away from it all, yet combines the easy living you can experience catching the sun or having a drink around the pool, on the rooftop terrace or in the hammock of the sun-corner, with a selection of games and fitness facilities that will ensure you spend great family times and are never bored.
The roof-top sun terrace with its privacy screens, additional sunbeds and two comfortable armchairs is the perfect place to enjoy those amazing views over the countryside and coast, ending a perfect day at this wonderful villa.
The open plan living and kitchen area is on the ground floor and opens to the front terrace and pool deck, with the swimming pool, hot tub (optional, supplement applies), sun-beds and outdoor dining, all of which benefit from those amazing views. The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are off the living area, as is the laundry corner.
On the lower ground floor is the games room with billiards, ping-pong, PlayStation and Wii, and fitness corner, as well as the private sun-corner perfect for lazing away in those sunny afternoons on the sunbeds or hammock.

Nearby
The nearest facilities, by the large roundabout that provides access to the expressway and the motorway system 2.5 Km away, are a supermarket, café/bakery with cashpoint machine and a couple of restaurants. There is quite a good selection of restaurants in this surrounding area, all between 1.8Km and 2.5Km from Villa Tranquility.
The Levada do Norte passes just above the Village. With the many country walks available in the area, this makes Prazeres a perfect resort for walking in Madeira.
The health centre is in Prazeres, and the nearest chemist is in the sleepy village of Estreito da Calheta, only 5 minutes drive away (7 Km).
A few minutes by car will take you to the resort town of Calheta, 10 Km from the Villa. With its man-made golden beaches, it is popular with tourists and locals alike. There is a beautiful marina and a good choice of bars and restaurants, a handful of small shops, a good, branded supermarket, a bank and chemist.
Below Prazeres and between 8 and 12 minutes by car (8 and 10 km) are the seaside surf resorts of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar.
15 minutes by car east is Ribeira Brava, the largest town before Funchal, that offers a rocky beach and sea access facilities in addition to a large supermarket and more shops, cafés, and restaurants.
Funchal is an easy 45-minute drive away, and to the airport takes around 55 minutes.

Madeira

Booking Notes
The advertised prices are based on a 4-person occupancy and supplements apply should anyone join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 300€ is required, payable by credit card prior to your arrival.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
The minimum stay is 07 nights.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

Leaving the airport take the motorway (Via Rápida) West in the direction of Funchal and after this to Ribeira Brava. Travel for 34. Km.


When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 35 minutes) keep on the right hand lane and follow the signs to Ribeira Brava – Ponta do Sol.
The slip road will lead you to a roundabout. Take the first exit to Ribeira Brava and drive towards the sea for 1,4Km. You will reach another roundabout. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel and you will now carry on for 3,9Km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol.
At the end of the tunnel you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit , signposted Ponta do Sol and drive through another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel.
At the end of this tunnel you will come to the roundabout of Ponta do Sol; on the left you will find a petrol station and mini market. Take the 2nd exit into the next tunnel and drive for 2,8Km.
At the end of the tunnel, at the roundabout, turn sharp right into the next tunnel (signposted Calheta).
At the roundabout (1,6Km), take the first turn-off, signposted to Calheta, drive through the next tunnel for 1,8Km.
Reaching the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs to Calhet
