A nice villa great for a group of friends staying on a hiking trip. Pool is lovely, and when heated is great (you might have to insist that it’s on - we had agreed 26 but when we arrived found the controller, and it was on 19 so wasn’t warm for a few days). Also there seems to be an issue with ants but nothing drastic.

Great stay with amazing sea view.

The villa was very nice and everyone of our group was very happy with the accommodation, which was exactly like we hoped, when looking at the pictures. Pro: - Amazing region. There is a nice sandy beach, many very good restaurants and a supermarket with a farmacia in very close proximity. - Very spatious villa, which can easily fit 6 or even 7 people. - Kitchenequipment: There is everything you need, even a big Fridge with an ice maker and a good grill outside. Salt, Pepper and other spices are also provided. - Incredible infinity pool with an amazing view. - Very private. The villa is surrounded by palm trees, so nobody can watch the pool area. - You can drive to Funchal in around 30 minutes, but there is lots to do in the area, so there often isnt a need to. - There are lots of english and portuguese books and boardgames as well as bluetooth speekers provided. Con: - No air conditioning and mosquito nets, so you have to live with either sleeping in a hot environment or getting stung quite often. - There are 3-4 cats, which like to come to the villa and sometimes also bring mice or little lizzards with them. They are quite friendly, but if you are afraid of free roaming cats or have an allergie this might be of interest to you. They will leave if you scare them away with water or something, but they will always come back. - The interior was a bit old school for our taste and a few things need fixing, like a crack in the wall or some of the tiles outside.

Schönes , geräumiges Ferienhaus, komplett ausgestattet.Kleiner Hof mit steiler Einfahrt nur für Kleinwagen geeignet,man kann aber bedenkenlos auf der Straße parken.Sehr sauber, schöne große Terrasse mit erwärmten Pool und Blick auf den Atlantik - auch von jedem Balkon und den Zimmern.Gute Lage für alle Ausflüge.Sehr empfehlenswert!

Folgendes können wir berichten ... Leider konnten wir das große Schlafzimmer während des gesamten Aufenthaltes über 2 Wochen nicht nutzen, da dort eine Ungezieferbekämpfung durchgeführt wurde. Uns wurden hierfür die Kosten für die Poolheizung erlassen. Leider heizte der Pool nicht weiter als 21 Grad auf. In der zweiten Woche gab es in der Nachbarschaft ein großes Feuer und der Pool war dann zudem auch noch sehr stark mit Asche verschmutzt. Eine Reinigung erfolgte trotz Bitte leider nicht. Am vorletzen Tag stand der Gärtner ab 9:00 mit der Motorsäge im Garten ... wir wollten sowieso einen Ausflug machen. Es gab öfter mal Ameisen in der Küche. Wenn man nichts offen stehen lässt kommen diese aber nicht mehr zu Besuch. Wir werden der Agentur "Our Madeira" noch ein Schreiben zusenden. Mal sehen ob dort auf Kulanz etwas zurück erstattet wird. Alles in Allem ist das Haus und die Ausstattung von sehr guter Qualität und sehr schön ; könnte allerdings eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Die Lage ist absolut traumhaft !

Superschöne Villa in bester Lage

Wir haben 10 wunderschöne Tage in dieser hervorragend ausgestatteten Villa verbracht. Die Inneneinrichtung ist toll, es fehlt an nichts betreffend Küchengeräten und -Utensilien. Der Aussenbereich bietet genügend Schatten und ist hervorragend und hochwertig möbliert. Gerne wieder!

A piece of paradise in Madeira

We considered ourselves very fortunate to be able to rent this beautiful villa. A stunning location within a banana plantation and the ability to pick ripe oranges for our breakfast juice was simply wonderful. Having the pool heated was essential at the time we went and enabled us to enjoy many hours of fun. The view from the villa is quite exceptional, and being blessed with hot sun for our stay made the experience all the more delightful. Close proximity to the seafront and some supermarkets, whilst being nestled in a quiet and picturesque location is not always a balance you can find but this villa ticked all our boxes. We can recommend without reservation!

Vacances en familles

Très belle villa bien située dans un cadre calme, magnifique et sans vis-à-vis. A noter qu'il manque quelques accessoires comme des tasses à café ou encore un meuble pour poser ses affaires dans la salle de bain du bas. Sinon nous avons passé un très agréable séjour.

An excellent holiday

Everything was great about this villa: location, cleanliness, pool, facilities, bedrooms, the villa itself. It is in a banana plantation and so peaceful and beautiful. The pool was fabulous and we spent lots of time there and relaxing on the sunbeds. We visited local beaches and swam in the sea. (NB, you do need sea shoes to walk over the pebbles into the sea.) There is a very good local supermarket a few minutes drive away and good restaurants and ice cream parlour at the marina. It was our first visit to Madeira and we found it restful and quiet. Roads were well-maintained and easy to navigate. It was easy to organise this whole experience and definitely use the carhire recommended by the manager. We had a brilliant holiday in the Designhouse and would love to come back.

Exeptionnel! Difficile de trouver mieux!

Cette maison est un paradis. La vue est a coupé le souffle avec aucun vis à vis, au milieu des bananes et en plus une vue incroyable sur l'océan. La maison est très grande avec toutes les commodités! La piscine est parfaite et demander le supplément pour la chauffer à été une bonne idée. On était en plein hiver et on se sentait en plein été, piscine et bronzette possible! Magique! Caletha n'est pas loin pour y faire des courses et boire un verre et manger.( 20 min à pied ou 3 min en voiture).Je recommande vivement cette adresse. Merci à toute l'équipe!

Location conforme aux annonces : propre, spacieuse, bien située. Proche des sentiers de randonnée, des bateaux pour se balader avec les dauphins et d'Helmut et ses parapentes. A beautiful house with a magnificent view.

A very beautiful, well kept spacious house with a magnificent view the Atlantic ocean amidst a Palmtree estate. You will find a lot of space for six people, a nice and perfectly equipped kitchen and a very clean place. On demand, the pool can be conveniently warmed up. A perfect place for a leisurely time.

A wonderful house with a stunning view!

We have just spent a wonderful week at this house and are already hoping to return again one day. Madeira is a beautiful island and this house near Calheta has one of the most stunning views I have ever encountered. The house itself is beautifully set out with everything we could have asked for....a real home from home and incredibly spacious. Our Madeira and Vanda in particular were very helpful. I fully recommend this property!

You won't be dissapointed

An absolute gem of a house in a stunning location and Island! This was our first visit to Madeira and we absolutely loved it and will make it our regular place to holiday. So much better and nearer than the Caribbean! The design house was perfect for our stay and the images are a good representation of what you get. It is new, modern, well equipped and set in lovely grounds with stunning sea views and no near neighbours. A car is a must in our opinion as it is not easy to walk to local bars/restaurants although a taxi would suffice. The management company were a delight to deal with and the car booking company they suggested worked out perfectly. Thumbs up from us!

What a great stay!

Our overal impression is GREAT and more than word can say. Close to the airport and all facilities, the house is really confortable, very clean and well equipped. Due to its location, you are pretty close to all main sites to visit in Madeira. The pool will be really appreciated by everybody (2 adults & 3 children) specially after a long walk in the Levadas. Don't hesitate to rent this house for your holidays!

Incredible

We have just had two wonderful weeks in the design house. The villa itself is just gorgeous, from nearly every window you can see the sea! Really comfortable and modern with everything you need and more. It is exactly as it looks in the photos. From booking the villa to arriving, everything was made easy and effortless by the staff involved. The pool is beautiful and my children loved splashing around in it. A car is definitely needed, you can walk to the beach but you would need to be super fit as the hill back to the villa is immense!! We booked a car through the management company which was great. The car company picked us up from the airport and drove us a short distance away to their offices where we picked up our car. I would highly recommend the service. The Island is so beautiful that having car will allow you to explore the amazing things there are to see, of which there are many. The only thing I would suggest that could improve the villa is air con in the bedrooms or at least fans. It does get very hot! We have had a wonderful holiday and will most defintitely return to the little piece of heaven that is the desgn house.

Amazing!

The villa is about 20 mins walk away from Calheta, which is a lovely harbour with a good supermarket and a hand full of nice and very friendly restaurants. The villa itself is superb: very well specced out (it had absolutely everything you could think of!) and hugely spacious. A lot of the equipment is brand new and the villa itself is only a few years old. The outside space and pool are fantastic with really comfortable sunbeds and outdoor furniture. We have stayed in a lot of villas and this is by far the best we've stayed in and will definitely be back. We have already recommended the villa to at least 3 other couples in the 6 days we've been back home.

Nice villa with spectacular view!

Nice villa with plenty of space and modern interior. The main attractions are the view and nice infinity pool. The villa has everything you need: complete kitchen, games, books and a playstation... we have never seen anything like it. Also within a few minutes you are in Calheta to buy your groceries or visit a restaurant or the beach. Would recommend it anytime!
