Sunny Zeeland: Schouwen-Duiveland is the northernmost part of Zeeland and is known for the length (a total of 21 km) and cleanliness of its beaches. Statistics have also shown that this area has the most hours of sunshine per year. The beaches on Schouwen-Duiveland have been awarded the "Blue Flag" for years. This award is only granted if certain requirements regarding water quality, cleanliness, and safety are met. Lake Grevelingen is also very popular with surfers and divers and is well-suited for other water sports. This is made possible by the Grevelingen and Brouwers dams.
Of interest: Several picturesque and historic towns are worth mentioning here: Zierikzee, Renesse, Brouwershaven, etc.
Places to visit: the Voordelta (where people and nature come together), Neeltje Jans (an exhibition with lots of information about the "Delta" nature conservation project, also very interesting for children), and the Delta Works.
A large forest and dune area, ideal for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
The coast is divided into several beach sections: family beaches (beach pavilions and lifeguards during the season) / water and sports beaches at the Brouwersdam (extreme sports such as buggy flying and stunt climbing) / family / water and sports beaches (a mix of both) / nature beaches (relaxing and quiet; nude swimming is permitted in some areas).
Additional items such as bed linens and towels can be rented through the key manager. A surcharge applies for check-outs and/or check-ins on Sundays and holidays. This must be clarified with the key manager upon arrival.
