We’ve been here three times and we still get surprised… We love this house so much!! The train wagon makes for truly atmospheric dinners and the garden is a absolute delight!

Comfortable and different

Easy to find and very private. Property had los of space, a beautiful private garden and had road access to beaches, towns and villages.

Quirky and perfect

Roselands is exactly as described with a little bit of the thirties thrown in. Comfortable, beautiful garden and very convenient for beaches and other places of interes. Our stay was short but very enjoyable.

Loved it like the first time!

We’ve already stayed here as a family and went back with friends, and loved it like the first time, the house, the dinning wagon and beautiful garden! The location is great and we did lots of walking, no car needed to access amazing spots!! We’ll be back!!

Next stop: Roselands

From the photographs on the site we’re trying to imagine how this house/train carriage worked… it was magical!! It was so much fun having meals in the diferent carriage rooms!! The rest of the house is very nice and cosy too and the gardens (front and back) are beautiful and secluded. We loved our time there. The house is a very short walk to the village green and local pub. And it is very conveniently located to go to diferent places and beaches, specially to go to our favourite restaurant the Crab House Cafe! (make sure to book in advance). We are definitely coming back!!!

Thank you Rosario for the lovely review. The next plan for the house and carriage is a small railway track around the inside of the house and carriage delivering cups of tea and cakes!!! Like in Paddington 2 in the junk shop. Looking forward to your return. Marion

Quirky!

Lovely house/railway carriage - my kids would have loved this when they were little! The listing was missing photos of the sitting room, so I had to confirm there was one! Lovely room with great seafaring artefacts. Kitchen is lovely. Checking in was terrible. We didn’t have the code for the key holder & couldn’t get hold of the owner. All contact had been via email so I had to trawl through every one to find information which wasn't correct. This was really frustrating. When we did finally get in, we had a power cut and there was no information book to tell us where the fuse box was. This meant another call to the owner at 9 o’clock at night. Not a great start. The kitchen cupboards had some cleanliness issues - some full of cobwebs covering the saucepans. Having said that, the house is great and in a lovely location. There are just some important issues which need ironing out. I felt as though a small refund for the inconvenience would have been a nice gesture.

All that Deborah said is perfectly true, and all has been ironed out now. In my defense when she booked I did explain that we were not ready to open but she insisted and wanted to come so I agreed but in hindsight, I was not prepared for their visit. My mistake.
