Thank you for staying with us and for leaving us a review. Since you were our first tenant of the season, we were happy to be able to offer you early check in, at no additional cost. Glad to hear you, your kids and partner enjoyed your stay at our house.
We reached out a few times during the week, each time you said all was good and that you were enjoying your trip.

 My wife and I work hard and go thru great expenses to provide a nice relaxing vacation for our guests. In the last year, we upgraded the furniture, had the house professionally painted, floor to ceiling, amongst other upgrades. 

I would like to address your comments about the bedframe and our security camera. We respect the privacy of our guests and follow all VRBO protocols, as such, we only have outdoor cameras as stated in our lease and on our listing. Our cameras are for the security of our tenants and periodically used to ensure that our cleaning staff and maintenance services perform their duties as scheduled. 

 As per my message to you, 2 days prior to your checkout. We normally don’t check our cameras. I was checking to see if the lawn crew showed up and saw our new couch cushions were wet and sitting outside on our picnic table. When I asked you about it, you said your child spilled water on them.
Upon inspection, there were stains on the new couch cushions and an odor as well. I don’t know what your child spilled on the couch, but water does not stain or have an odor. My wife and I were able to get the stains and odors out of the couch with our steam cleaner, and therefore did not have to incur additional costs to you. As for the bedframe, you never informed us that the bedframe was broken. You sent a message on Friday, 6:15pm, the night before you were checking out (checkout Saturday, 10am). Your message read “One of the wheels on the leg of the bed in the back room came off, I'm not sure how exactly my little guys have been sleeping in that room, hopefully it's just a matter of lifting up the bed and putting the wheel back on!” Based on your review comments, you knew that the bedframe was broken by you, your kids or guests, and never informed us of it.
Consequently, it left a deep gouge in our floor, which again, we did not charge you for. I don’t understand why you are saying that we did not offer to fix it during your stay when we were not told it was broken. We were only informed about the wheel falling off, the night before you were leaving. 
Also, the wall adjacent to the broken bedframe was damaged and had scratches/marks on it and the wall had to be repainted. You were the first tenant in our house after it was professionally painted. We offered to do the repairs ourselves to the wall and bedframe, for the cost of materials only, as painters are very expensive.

 We value honesty and open communication from our guests. We only have a small window of time between guests to get the houses ready and repaired before the next guest checks in, and don’t want to disturb guests during their stay with repairs.
