Beautiful setting

It was a nice place and is conveniently located to town and the beaches. The downside was no ac and in the three bedrooms and the ceiling fan wasn’t installed in the master, when we opened the windows the mosquitos came in…so it was pretty stuffy. Also the stairs

Aiguafreda 2024

Had a great stay at the house in Aguafreda. We have stayed in this lovely area many times before but was the first time we stayed in this house. It has a great view, good facilities (including easy parking, a shared pool and tennis courts) and was clean and comfortable to stay in. Most beaches are a drive away in case you like to walk to the beach, but that was never a problem for us. All in all a fabulous vacation and would totally recommend this house !

Maria's home is ideal for your vacation experience!!

We loved staying at Maria's beautiful home. The location is perfect as Begur is so quiet and beautiful and the least developed of the near by villages on the sea to visit. We checked them all out and by far.... The Best!!!!! Maria is lovely even though we did not meet her as she lives in Madrid. Book this enchanting and private home with the most beautiful views. The best part is the kitchen/dining room/living room/open deck are all connected and perfect!!! A great value and I highly recommend it to all travelers. Kindly. Ginger Inglis

Can’t beat this view and location!

Lovely situated house with a great balcony with a fantastic view. We were greeted by Ana who was lovely and very accomodating (as we arrived far too early). House is equiped with all you need. Situated within walking distace of Aguifreda and Cala Sa Tuna. 10 minutes to Begur by car. Few things that you should know: there is no airconditioning (but there are fans and most noghts there is a breeze). The pool is fantastic; it is shared with the other residences. We had a lovely time!

Très agréable résidence.

La maison est très agréable et notre hote très a votre écoute. Tout a été parfait... Un seul bémol, deux des chambres sont petites et sans salle de bain attenante mais rien de grave. Je recommande le restaurant sous la résidence, au dessus de la mer...Magnifique !!

Misleading response

When I emailed about a bed for another couple staying with us, I was told two beds could be joined for a bed for them, but the twin beds have wooden sides and can’t be joined. Also key pickup instructions were confusing. No WiFi password was provided and I had to contact the owner multiple times.

Beautiful house and view!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The terrace with awnings was like having a whole extra room! The setting was peaceful, nicely furnished and very clean. Maria, the owner was great to communicate with and gave great suggestions on grocery stores, restaurants etc. She was a pleasure to work with! One suggestion would be to have extra toilet paper available for a longer stay like ours as we ran out after 2-3 days but we easily purchased some in Begur. If you want to come to Costa Brava...we highly recommend this house for your stay! We hope to be back again some day!

Gorgeous View and Terrace

This property lived up to the photos with the incredible view off the large living terrace. A wonderful place to share a family meal and glass of wine. The kitchen was well equipped with good knives and some herbs and spices to use, which was very handy. A great home base for exploring around the Costa Brava area. A few items that could be improved to make a more pleasant stay would be providing beach towels for international guests as traveling with extra towels is not realistic. A bit more attention to detail needs to be given in the cleaning of the home. Having a son with dust allergies, this was a big concern for us. The pool was also in need of a cleaning and chemical treatment. It was almost the perfect paradise and if these details are taken care of, which Maria assured me they would be, I would not hesitate in recommending the property.

Wonderful accommodations

We had a wonderful stay at Maria’s in Begur. The home is beautiful and is in a great location. It was very easy to communicate with Maria. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect House

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Maria's property. The house is situated in a fantastic location, really quiet and with amazing sea views, a cool breeze and the smell of pine trees, as well as lovely neighbours. However, it is a really quick walk to my favourite beach on the Costa Brava (Aiguafreda) and my favourite restaurant (Sa Rascassa). It is also very quick to drive to Begur or restaurants/shopping and a quick hop to the excellent Jodofi supermarket in Sa Riera. However, if you don't feel like driving you can easily just walk to Aiguafreda or Sa Tuna for lunch and supper (it's a beautiful walk which I thoroughly recommend). The house itself is not a typical rental house, it feels like a proper home - comfortable, welcoming and stocked with everything you could possibly need, especially when it comes to cooking and eating(rare for rental properties, other owners take note!). Maria was a pleasure to deal with, she responded to every question and query quickly and efficiently and was friendly and helpful. We recommend this property 10% and will definitely book this house again!

Prachtig huis met fabuleus uitzicht

Zeer mooi en smaakvol ingericht huis, voorzien van werkelijk alle gemakken. Mooie tuin en prachtig uitzicht op zee en baai. Zeer ruim terras en van alles is er meer dan voldoende (servies, handdoeken etc). Jammer dat er geen airco is en dat het 20 min rijden is van de dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt. Wij hebben er 2 geweldige weken gehad. Een aanrader voor rustiekere!

María José ha estado en todo momento atenta a nuestras necesidades. La casa está muy bien situada. Des vacances tres agreables.

Nous avons passez 2 semaines de vacances en famille avec 3 jeunes enfants et nous avons passe un moment tres tres agreable. La maison est tres bien equipee, et contrairement aux autres maisons de locations, elle a un vrai caractere et on sent qu’elle est habitée. Nous nous sommes sentis a la maison. La proprietaire, Madame Umbert, a ete charmante avec de tres bons conseils. La terrasse et la vue sont sublimes, on ne se lasse pas des repas a l'exterieur. Le quartier est tres calme et les voisins tres aimables. Pour finir, la piscine est tres bien entretenue et rend le sejour parfait. Nous recommandons cette maison tres vivement. Clairement a refaire. Une semaine formidable

Nous avons passé une semaine extraordinaire dans cette maison; elle est très bien située avec une vue magnifique dans un petit ensemble (avec piscine) très bien entretenu. La maison est spacieuse et agréable avec sa grande terrasse. L'accueil de Maria josé est chaleureux et sympathique. On y retournera ! Gilles Cozian
