#4a Playfair Terrace is centrally located to the St. Andrews Golf links and tons of restaurants and shopping. Expect a 3 minute walk to the Old Course and a 2 to 10 minute walk to the vast majority of the restaurants, etc. The unit is obviously very old but feels more modern. Certainly not a luxurious experience, but functional, clean, and everyone was comfortable. Bathrooms are very small, especially the master bathroom shower. The other negative issue was that if you stay in the upstairs bedroom you have to walk downstairs to use a bathroom shared with the 3rd bedroom. Our host was extremely responsive. Emails were answered within a few minutes, before and after our arrival, and when we did need to call the main number it was answered immediately.Parking in the area is pretty limited and it did create a little stress at times. This of course is no fault of the unit, it's just the nature of the area. A small car does help but expect to have to hunt for a space at certain times of the day. All in all, a great stay. I would most certainly stay here again.
