We absolutely loved staying here!!! The host was so, so kind and responsive in her messages! The view is beautiful and the location is perfect! Such a clean apartment sweetly prepared for guests! Easy to access unit with private parking for the building! Thank you, Rosemary!! We had the best time!

The condo was clean and welcoming with all the essentials I needed in the kitchen. Bonus was milk in the fridge ands cookies on the counter! Great location: the beach is just out front. It's at the edge of town so quiet but within easy walk of a small grocery and restaurants. Beds were comfortable.

This is a lovely apartment with amazing sea views. It’s clean, comfortable and it was very spacious for the two of us. The kitchen has loads of cupboard space and is well-equipped, the sofas and bed were comfortable and things like crockery were good quality. We found it an ideal base for exploring the area but also enjoyed just sitting watching the sea, the gannets and hoping for a dolphin (we got one brief glimpse!) Communication with Rosemary was very easy and she responded very quickly to a minor problem. Castlerock was quiet when we were there but there were a couple of places to eat and we’d definitely recommend the Coffee Hut next to the Spar.

Beach paradise

Great communication with owner. Quick responses which is always appreciated! The twin room was tight for 2 adults with luggage, but the other bedriom and bathrooms are spacious. We were there in the off-season (only 2 other cars in the parking lot), and we felt very safe walking around. The locals were friendly and helpful. We also loved having the livingroom fireplace to warm up after our days adventuring outside.

Great Location

We were looking to explore the Atlantic coast, the apartment was ideal with great views. Apartment was well furnished and fully equipped which was really appreciated. Highly recommended

Very nice apartment

I was already for the second time in the holiday apartment. Both times the apartment was very clean. The furnishings are well maintained and the new sofas are great. I really enjoyed the view of the sea through the large window. Many sights are easily accessible from Castlerock. The train connection to Belfast or Derry is very convenient.

Relaxing stay with a fabulous view

Lovely, well equipped and clean property, but the stand out feature was the view from lounge and bedrooms. Just a few steps walk to the beach, and less than 5 minute walk to local shop, pub and coffee shop. Rosemary was always responsive to messages but was never intrusive. I highly recommend a stay and I will definitely be back.

Mixed feelings

Castlerock is a really nice seaside town The train stops right in town so getting to places is easier There are a few stores and places to eat that have good food and service. The apartment is adequate however we had a problem with the water, it was sporadically warm but mostly cold. I did report it to the host but it was not resolved during our visit so it put a damper on what could have been a problem free visit. I did notice prior guests had the same issue a month before. I think if I had reread the reviews I would have asked the host if this had been resolved.

Beach getaway

The apartment is located steps from the beach. A walk on the beach is amazing! The apartment was clean, and very nice. We had difficulty operating the hot water boiler. We could not get the hot water to the bathrooms (worked in the kitchen) and the water flow in the bathrooms was none existent. I reached out to Suzanne, and she responded telling me all the appliances are standard and self-explanatory, so she didn’t think we needed instructions. As an out-of-country visitor, we never need to operate a boiler to get hot water. We also do not have a washer/dryer in one unit. We had to google how to use them, and even that didn’t lead to success. We had freezing cold showers with a dribble of water. We were only staying for two nights, so we didn’t let this ruin our visit; however, I recommend Suzanne provide written instructions for the property/appliances for other visitors. I did read another review with the same request, but Suzanne has not viewed this request as necessary. All in all, it is a lovely property and we enjoyed our stay in Castlerock!

Beautiful view. Large, comfortable accommodation

We had such an easy stay. Flight cancellations robbed us of one night but the night we did get was very restful. Everything was clean and having the coffee, tea and milk was a nice treat after so much traveling.

shortstay in Castlerock

Picturesque location. Property in very good condition and internally very clean. Lounge and Bedrooms very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped but would benefit from a non-stick frying pan. The hot water supply was inadequate suffering from poor pressure and as a consequence the use of the bath and shower in both the bathroom and ensuite was not satisfactory. Anyone using the property for a stay longer than a couple of days would have found this most frustrating. Remedying this particular shortcoming should be addressed urgently to avoid future complaints as our stay otherwise was most enjoyable. Some written instructions for operating ovens etc would also be helpful.

Very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had wet windy weather but in a good summer the view and location would be spectacular. There was a problem with the hot water while we were there but host gave us generous compensation. Minor quibbles would be needing some more coathangers and some written instructions about heating, bins etc.

Gorgeous beach home

We loved this apartment! It is spacious with lots of great amenities including a washer/dryer, strong internet, dishwasher, and cozy recliners. The location is only a few minutes walk from the STUNNING pristine Castlerock beach and the train station. We also enjoyed the easy, 30 min walk to Mussenden Temple/Downhill Demesre. Rosemary was a great host and checkin/checkout was easy peasy!
