Camp Fire Minnesota is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Our Mission:
Young people want to shape the world. With nature as our catalyst, Camp Fire Minnesota energizes youth to discover their spark so their futures glow brighter.
Founded in 1910, Camp Fire is the first nonsectarian, interracial organization for girls in the United States. In 1912 the first Minnesota Camp Fire groups were organized. In 1924, Camp Fire Girls in Minnesota began operating its first summer camp program in Excelsior (fka Tanadoona). In 1958, Camp Bluewater opened, hosting its first camping season to Camp Fire youth. Based on a commitment to the entire family, whatever its structure, membership was expanded to include all young people in 1975. Today, we are inclusive and open to every person in the communities we serve.
Your stay at Camp Bluewater helps empower youth to discover their unique spark - thank you!
Rentals help make it possible for Camp Fire Minnesota to provide outdoor experiences for youth across Minnesota. Our scholarship fund makes camp and outdoor experiences accessible to families from all backgrounds. 48% of participants in Camp Fire programs attend with scholarship support.
