The appartment is functional and clean. The ground is well maintained. The pool and the beach are beautiful. But the whole place felt half deserted. The dock is not maintained/not usable, taken over by birds (strong smell too). There is a large 2 story cabana but it is fenced off and probably close to collapse on itself. It probably was beautiful when built and maintained but kind of an eyesore now. Terrible communication from the owner. No instruction on vrbo/expedia how to check-in, so we expected somebody to help us when we arrived. No cell reception didn't help.... Fortunately we were helped by other guests, and directed to Olivia, who was very nice and helpful. Also as noted by other reviewers, this is pretty far from Celestun downtown, 20 minutes of dirt road.
Overall we enjoyed our 2 days there (except the check-in) and we would recommend to others if they are looking for a quite and remote place.
