Perfect Tuscan Apartment For Families

This is a fabulous apartment. Mario, Santana, Guido, Francesca and Valentina are wonderful, kind and gracious hosts. We had a delightful welcome and the home grown produce was lovely to find on our arrival. The setting allowed us to relax and it really did feel like our lovely hosts had invested much time and effort in making our stay comfortable. We enjoyed endless games of table tennis and table football in the shade. It's funny how you relax! There is a trampoline and a swing for youngsters and we even had time for a few games of tennis at the end of the day. I must mention he pool. It's clean; it's in the sun. It's in good nick as we say. And it's a diving pool with a proper diving board and deep end. Our children could muck about jumping and diving in until it got dark. This part of Tuscany allows easy visits to Pisa, Lucca, Chianti, Pistoia, Vinci and all of that. It's beautiful. If you're interested in visiting Tuscany then head to Mario's. It's a perfect base. You can't go wrong. Grazie mille.

Perfect Tuscany Getaway

We received a warm welcome by the hosts. The property was impeccably clean and the apartment was very comfortable and cosy for our family of 5. The kids loved the pool, tennis court, foosball tables, etc. Lots of privacy in the apartment. Location is central to many destinations in Tuscany.

Very friendly stay

The owners were extremely friendly. Their teenaged granddaughter Valentina was great with our kids playing with them in the pool, on the trampoline, tennis and foosball, as well as taking them for walks in the orchard. She really made the stay for our kids. They provided us with a pie and their own olive oil on arrival, and we had access to unlimited apricots from the orchard. They also made pizza for us one night, and provided homemade apricot preserves. It would be hard to find nicer hosts. The unit itself was good, the only problem being a faulty air conditioner which they fixed within a couple of days. The pool and associated patio is great! I would recommend this for families as it is really great for kids. It is 45-60 minutes to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and 30 minutes to Pistoia, and there are a number of local markets around. Overall a very good stay.

Spectacular full-option house in great location. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful!

ARRIVAL Right from the moment we arrived at the house Mario, the owner, awaited us to guide us onto the property. The house has everything it promises online and MUCH more. A full basket of home grown vegetables and fruit was given as a welcome gift as well as a bottle of property-produced olive oil and home baked Tuscan pie and pasta. AMENITIES The owners are really dedicated to delivering the perfect holiday. The house is maintained in an impeccable state and has much more to offer than you might expect. We were there with a family of 4 (2 girls aged 5 and 7) on the ground floor. The covered outside terrace was the perfect place to enjoy our evening diner with a view on both the large swimming pool and surrounding Tuscan hills (view on the town of Vinci). The pool area has enough sunbeds and gazebo's for the 2 appartements in this house. At night the luminated swimming pool invites for a refreshing dive. Our children had the time of their life. Not only did they enjoy the swimming pool and tennis court, but as soon as the owners saw their age they suddenly pulled out a set of toys for young children (fully equiped toy kitchen). The ping pong table and tablesoccer table completed the wide range of things to do on premise. The entire property is closed with automated gates so you do not have to worry about the children running off on the street. LOCATION Obviously we did not stay on premise the entire week. The house of swallows is located in a historical sweet spot with all Northern Tuscany treasures less than one hour away. We visited Florence, Lucca, Viareggio, Montecatinni Therme & Alto, Pinnochio Park in Collodi, Vinci. Much more are nearby to. The owners have brochures on everything you want to visit as well as personal advice on how to get there best. FOOD Supermarkets to try your own Italian cooking are nearby (Coop in Lamporecchio) Excellent low-price-but-high-quality pizzerias less than 5 minutes from the property. Restaurants are scattered everywhere. As if this wasn't enough we were invited to join a pizza party. The owner of the house and his family invite you to a long table where master-pizzamaker and rockstar Guido demonstrates the essence of pizza-making. Prepare for loads of delicious traditional wood-oven pizza. This is what eating in Italy is all about: sharing great food and wine with family and friends. OVERALL We hope to stay here once more when we visit the North of Tuscany again. We had a great stay! Thanks!

Besser geht nicht

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche in der Casa delle Rondini. Das Haus ist ein Traum mit diesem tollen Pool, einem schönen Tennisplatz, Tischtennis, Fußballtisch, Spielplatz, etc. Die Balduccis sind die besten Gastgeber, die man sich vorstellen kann. Das beginnt bei der Ankunft mit Begrüßungskuchen, selbstgemachtem Olivenöl, Pasta und Tomaten aus dem Karten. Jeden Tag bekamen wir Obst und Gemüse aus dem Garten geschenkt. Einmal wurden wir mittags mit gebackenem Gemüse verwöhnt, ein anderes Mal mit Pizza. Wir waren jetzt das siebte mal in der Toskana, so wohl wie hier haben wir uns noch nirgends gefühlt. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Traumhafte, perfekte Urlaubswoche

Wir waren im Juli 2018 bei Mario und Santina und haben eine wunderbare, traumhaft schöne Woche dort verlebt. Die beiden waren ausgesprochen gastfreundlich und bei allen Fragen behilflich. Das Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt, für Familien bestens geeignet, auch geographisch gut gelegen, man kann die große Sehenwürdigkeiten gut erreichen. Wir würden jederzeit dort wieder Urlaub machen.

Wonderful Tuscan Villa...fantastic for children!

We had such a nice stay at this Villa! We were there 5 nights with our 3 kids ages 12, 11, & 9. We stayed in the smaller of the two apartments that are offered for rent, which had 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom was very comfortable with a large bed (it seemed close to king sized) and our 2 girls were happy with the bunk beds in the second bedroom. Our son slept comfortably on the couch that becomes a double bed in the living room. Another bedroom for him to have his own space would have been nice but it wasn't necessary. And the convenience of being on the ground floor with a nice covered terrace leading right out to the beautiful pool was better for us than having more space had we chosen the larger apartment above us. Mario and his wonderful family were all so kind! We arrived to an apartment with several welcome gifts including a delicious apricot tart homemade by Mario's wife! They also gave us homemade jam and olive oil from their olive grove as well as some spaghetti. What a treat! The area was perfect as a base from which to do day trips to Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, etc. But we wished we had stayed even longer...we hardly wanted to leave to go site seeing because the kids had so much fun, swimming, playing tennis, ping pong, foosball, jumping on the trampoline, etc. :) I highly recommend this place...it will meet all your expectations of your fanciful thoughts of staying in a villa in Tuscany!

We were two adults sharing the ground floor apartment, and the accommadation was spacious.

The help, service and attention available from landlady Santina and landlord Mario was outstanding. They were more than generous in providing welcoming provisions that included home-baked fruit tart, fresh fruit, a bottle of their own virgin olive oil, eggs from their chickens and a packet of spaghetti. We were invited to walk freely through the olive tree grove. You need a car to access the nearest supermarket in Lamporecchio. We enjoyed a way-marked walking route on the nearby Montalbano hills, a drive over those hills for a day in Pistoia (free all day parking at Parcheggio Cellini), a return train journey to Florence from Montecatini Terme (free all day parking at the train station). We also made two longer car journeys to the Appenine Mountain areas between Pistoia and Bologna (Parco Regionale Dei Laghi Suviana e Brasimone, and Parco Regionale Storico di Monte Sole). An altogether memorable holiday. The only negative feature is the hot water system which needs some explaining. You can wait a VERY long time for hot water to arrive in the wash basin or shower in the ground floor apartment. The waiting time is variable (not the same every day), but never quick!

Una casa para disfrutar de las vacaciones

Superbes vacances

Location conforme à la description, très propre. Très bon accueil des propriétaires qui vivent sur place et nous ont offerts fruits et légumes de leur verger. Ils sont également de très bon conseil pour les visites de la région, les appartements étant idéalement situés pour visiter la région. Superbe endroit et hôtes charmants

Appartement fonctionnel et très propre, correspond tout à fait à l'annonce. Les propriétaires vivent sur place et sont très sympathiques, petits cadeaux à l'arrivée, fruits et légumes du jardin et précieux conseils sur les restaurants et visites de la région. La situation est idéale pour visiter les villes d'art de Toscane, toutes à courte distance de la location. Enfin, chouette aménagement extérieur très apprécié des enfants: piscine avec plongeoir, tennis, tennis de table, baby-foot, balançoires et trampoline... Bref, nous avons passé de très belles vacances à Lamporecchio. Encore merci pour votre accueil.

Séjour parfait chez Sentina et Mario

We loved our experience in Italy and Mario and Santina made our vacation better with their kindness. We personally loved the apartment for our family of 4 children, and my sister with her son the apartment was big enough. Magnifique séjour

Io e i miei amici abbiamo soggiornato in questo appartamento per il periodo di capodanno. La casa e' molto ampia, attrezzata e accogliente. I proprietari abitano nella casa adiacente e sono disponibili in tutto, ci hanno accolto con dei brigidini squisiti tipici del posto e ci hanno dato delle informazioni su cosa visitare nei dintorni, insomma sono delle persone molto gentili e affidabili, in più hanno due Labrador fantastici!! Il paesaggio e' magnifico, il giardino a disposizione con la piscina altrettanto! E' un posto da sogno, noi ci torneremo sicuramente e lo consigliamo vivamente a tutti!! Un abbraccio a Mario e Santina da Chiara, Giacomo, Paolo e Giulia.

Un lieu formidable

Super location, les propriétaire Mario et Santina sont d'une gentillesse et d'une bienveillance extraordinaire. Effectivement nous avons eu un grave problème de santé pendant nos vacances et ils ont été attentionnés et formidable. La location est très bien équipée très propre et proche des lieux touristiques. Toujours des petites attentions (plats légumes du jardin) tout en restant discret. Un lieu idéal pour les vacances.

Tutto perfetto come da descrizione, ottima posizione per visitare città principali. La casa e' immersa nel verde e si può comodamente far uso di piscina, campo da tennis, da pallavolo e all'interno si gode di tutti i comfort come specificato. Abbiamo soggiornato con un bimbo e due cani, l'ospitalità e il trattamento sono stati eccellenti! Ottima l'accoglienza con ortaggi derivati dal loro orto. Presto torneremo in quell'angolo di paradiso che ci ha lasciato il ricordo di una vacanza indimenticabile.

Fenomenal opción para visitar la Toscana

Opción perfecta para visitar la Toscana o disfrutar de unos días de relax aprovechando las instalaciones de la casa. La realidad coincide al 100% con lo reflejado en la web y todos los enseres de la casa se encuentran nuevos y en perfectas condiciones. La autopista está a quince minutos con lo cual el acceso a Florencia, Pisa, Lucca, etc es rápido y sencillo. Además a cinco minutos hay un supermercado con todo lo necesario. Estuvimos una familia de dos adultos y dos niños del 18 al 23 de agosto y hemos encontrado todas las comodidades necesarias para disfrutar de nuestra estancia. Es perfecta para disfrutar de un día de turismo y relajarte a última hora en la piscina o dando un paseo por el huerto y los olivos que están dentro de la propiedad. Destacar también las atenciones de Santina y Mario que se preocupan en todo momento de cualquier cosa que necesites, invitándote a conocer los productos locales que ellos mismos cultivan (espectaculares las flores de calabacín y los tomates!!). La verdad que nos han hecho pasar una semana perfecta y los niños han disfrutado como nunca. Muchas gracias por todo.
