A great apartment, very comfortable and well furnished, great location.

A great apartment, very comfortable and well furnished, great location. Although the description does say that the accommodation is over 3 levels the stairs may prove challenging to less mobile guests!

Flat on the hill

The flat was comfortable with great views from the upstairs bedroom. The flat was clean but it was obvious that there had been a black dog in the property. There were black hairs on the floor lamp and back wall in the dining room which was bad enough, but I was really annoyed when I found even more dogs hair inside the chest of drawers in the upstairs bedroom. I thought dogs were not allowed in the bedrooms. My husband grew up in Penrith and we were there to visit his family. Our adult daughter joined us so the extra bathroom was a real bonus. The flat was only a 10 minute from the town but the hill is very steep for the walk back, we were fine but some people might find it a bit much. In Penrith there is a café Chapter 12 which is very good also well worth a visit is Lowther Castle which isn't far from Penrith. It is now a large ruin, death duties saw to that. It has beautiful grounds with far reaching view and a great café you must try the cheese scones.
