Open plan in design, the large living area creates a great space to relax and unwind in with a contemporary wood-effect gas fire meaning guests can keep cosy even during the chillier months of the year. Boasting that essential indoor / outdoor flow you'd expect from a luxury holiday home, the private terrace is accessed directly via the dining room and comes complete with a hot tub, BBQ and outside furniture. Inside, there's a fully equipped kitchen for whipping up a lovely home cooked meal or two, and four spacious bedrooms offer the perfect places to retreat to for a comfortable night sleep.

Set within a minute's stroll from the water's edge and with direct access to a woodland walk, the surrounding landscape offers plenty of outdoor space to explore, while the lake itself bursts with ample opportunity for water-based adventure.

Juniper lodge was everything we needed. Very clean and well equipped. Beds very comfortable.We were there for a birthday celebration at Roadford Lakes. So very handy location. Pity the weather was diabolical!

Peaceful location

Overall we enjoyed our stay, peaceful location, however can’t say that we experienced “luxury” with all of the furnishings - dining table chairs were wobbly, sofa cushions frequently lost their shape, sofa was not the comfiest considering “luxury” is promoted. As a family we enjoy movie time after a day of exploring and a lovely corner sofa or a larger sofa would be advantageous for us to sit together. Also consideration for disabled access to the lake is needed, my son is a wheelchair user and we did not find access to the lake from the lodges are wheelchair friendly or easy to navigate.

Excellent 5 day break

Enjoyed a lovely 5 day break with my wife, two kids and mother in law. Lodge was well sited, immaculate, incredibly clean, well equipped and so comfy. Poured down one day and enjoyed a day at the lodge, in and out of the hot tub, playing the provided games, utilising the kitchen and listening to music through the smart TV's. The most relaxing of days. Nice walk by the lake and a super friendly café.

Pleasant Work Stay

Stayed here while hosting a workshop at Roadford Lake and it was the perfect base for a mixed group. We were able to cater for ourselves and the rooms were all very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy and well laid out. Would love to see it in Summer, and wish we'd had time to make use of the hot tub.

Fantastic lodge

This is a fantastic lodge and set up for 8 adults in every way. Enough chairs at the table, comfortable sofas, room in the hot tub. Its a gem of a lodge, clean , comfortable and set in a lovely location. This is my second visit and will be back again.

Relaxing Get away

Fantastic lodge and great outside Would have loved to receive a welcome pack and locally sourced goodies ie Strawberry Fields Farm Shop especially as this is classed as luxury lodges. Plastic milk, a few tea bags, coffee sachets really is an no no, apart from that everything we needed.

Great value for money

We had a 4 bed which was great for 6 of us but may be a bit small for 8. Lovely site, Juniper Lodge is one of the better locations as no passing cars so hot tub is more private. Well kitted out in the kitchen. Bedrooms nice and a good size. Tiny tv’s in bedrooms which wasn’t a problem for us as we didn’t need them on. Lovely bathrooms. Wine fridge was well used! Great sized oven and 5 ring bob. Very clean. Lovely walks around Roadford Lake. A no hassle stay. Great value for money, would recommend . Easy to find from A30

Excellent stay

The lodge is perfect, We stayed as a group of 8, 2 families. It is well equipped with anything you could possibly need. The large communal area including the living room, dining room and kitchen was a great space so that we could all be together and it wasn't cramped. The lodge was clean and tidy and the kids enjoyed every minute. It is a quiet location, we enjoyed walking round the lake and the cafe on site was really lovely, staff friendly, we look forward to staying again soon, hopefully in the summer as the kids were itching to get in the hot tub! Thank you for a great stay!

Juniper Lodge

Everything was very well organised for a hassle free arrival. All guests have given very positive reviews about the property. The location was very peaceful and other lodges were far enough away that we did not encroach upon each other. The site itself was very well maintained and clean. Inside the lodge, we had everything we needed. We did run out of toilet roll as there were 7 of us with only 3 rolls provided but luckily we had brought our own as well. The hot tub was absolutely delightful and we did use it even though it poured with rain several times - with us in it! The kitchen really was fully equipped and everything worked well. One of our guests arrived a bit later so we parked three cars instead of the planned two on our hard standing. The cars were small enough to do this and did not overlap onto the road so access was not blocked. It really was a little bit of utopia for us all and we cannot be more thankful to the owners for providing such a wonderful space.

Excellent location. Comfortable lodge and everything we required was there . We would have welcomed better quality towels in the bathroom and also the noise of the Jacuzzi kept us awake all night !!!
