サンタクルス、ワタルコ - スタイリッシュで居心地の良いコンドミニアム、ビーチ＆マリーナから数分

Long time travel writer and photographer, I live in Europe for part of the year, and Mexico for the rest. Since early retirement my husband and I spend more and more time in Huatulco, painting, walking, swimming and discovering the wealth of beauty in Oaxaca state. We've travelled throughout the country and love lots of places - but return to Huatulco as we find it comfortable, clean and ... safe.
Just another point: I paint and draw here in Mexico and - being an artist - hang different pictures on the walls in the condo. I'm forever changing them around so you might find a Oaxacan lady on the wall one week, a still life of veggies, or a Guatemalan market scene the next.

We stayed at this condo a number of times and finally bought here. Why? Because it is near the heart of Huatulco, the people in the village are charming, the area and the sea are safe, there is always something happening and you can do lots by foot and everything by taxi, our fellow condo folk are friendly and interesting, the pool is lovely, the nearby beaches are amazing... and so many reasons more that this will turn into a book!
Perhaps it is sufficient to say that most of the guests here come back year after year and have forged friendships with other guests so in a sense it is a homecoming for them.

The top benefits have to be the friendliness, good maintenance of the complex, its facilities and the garden - plus a really great pool. The fact that the condo is gated means its extra safe, and then another benefit is the near proximity to both beaches and shops - 6 minutes.
Safety at the beach too, is another plus.
The nearest beach - popular with locals from early morning to well after dusk - is really safe for swimming. So too another picture-postcard perfect beach, La Entrega, just five minutes ride away.
There are very reasonably priced taxis almost always outside ready to take you anywhere in the area.
