Charming cottege
Our stay was wonderful. The house was very clean and very cute. The location is in close proximity to the Sonoma plaza yet there is still great privacy.

Beautiful and great location!
Beautiful guest house in a centralized location. Home had everything you will need including a hot tub. Easily walkable to the town square. Very easy to work with the owners.

Perfect!
What a perfect spot in Sonoma! We loved everything about it...location, the hot tub, the amazing garden, the rooster crowing in the morning, wonderful bed linens, and sweet owners. We would absolutely stay here again should we return to Sonoma. Don't think twice...just book it!

Close In Spot; Great for Couples.
Nicely decorated cottage with new appliances and hot tub. Within walking distance (about 6 blocks) of the Plaza. Private outdoor space with table, umbrella and chairs, plus parking. Easy access to main roads, but the property is very quiet. Definitely book this if you want a secluded spot but also want the benefits of being in town.

Disappointing
I use these services quite a bit and have never had such a bad experience.
The Owner informed us a few hours before we arrived that there was construction occurring on the property. When we arrived, there was a bulldozer, dump truck and back hoe with several workers...(right out side our cottage front yard). And the noise was constant. The first night the workers were done at 5:30 PM...arrived the next morning @ 8 am and stayed until 6:45 pm. I'm disappointed in the owner, as I would have liked to have had enough notice to look for another place. Getting notified of such a huge construction job at the last minute on the day or our arrival did not give us that opportunity.
The owner did acknowledge the inconvenience and returned charges for one night of the stay. That said, after 5 days, I'm still waiting for the security deposit to be returned. Certainly seems to be some character issues with this owner.

I' can totally understand your disappointment, which is why I refunded 50% of the nightly charges for your 2 night stay, as you were unable to locate a different stay. It was unfortunate timing as a permit had just been approved Monday and I did not know the contractor would be available to jump right in and begin prior to your Wednesday check-in. Once I knew their work would conflict with your stay, I did call you directly. I am also saddened that my "character" is brought into this review, as I admitted the inconvenience right away and did compensate/refund you. I cannot speak to the slowness of VRBO's refunding, as they handle our payment processing. Generally our guests are out the entire day, and we did ask the contractor not to start prior to 8am during weekdays.

Relaxing comfortable and clean
Located about a mile from the square. Convenient and walkable. The cottage is set back from the street so it is very quiet. Lovely kitchen. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked inviting.

Excellent home away from home
This was my husbands and my first time visiting Sonoma and it didn't disappoint! We couldn't have asked for a better location and place to stay. Gayle was extremely helpful and we felt right at home. The guest house was in walking distance to the town square and the bike path. Private and cozy. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Secluded and Lovely
This property is perfect for a couple wanting to visit Sonoma. Gayle was lovely and very easy to deal with. The guest house was clean and very nicely decorated. We particularly loved the hot tub.

Great Location and Good Times
We really enjoyed staying at the Sonoma Hideaway for our first anniversary celebration! It was really convenient to downtown and to the many wineries we were interested in visiting. Our favorite was Gundlach Bundschu which was maybe 12 minutes away by Uber. We also really enjoyed the Depot Hotel restaurant and the girl and the fig restaurant. Gayle had every convenience we needed or could think of. We are obsessed with the sheets that were on the bed and I’m ordering that brand ASAP! So soft :) We also really enjoyed the privacy of the hot tub after a long day of imbibing. Skipper was a great buddy to greet us and to play with while we were homesick for our own dog. Great stay!

Beautiful Hideaway in a Great Location
We loved our stay at Gayle’s Sonoma Hideaway! The space is beautifully decorated, and made a great home base as we worked our way around wine country. The hot tub was a great way to wind down after a day of tasting. Loved that she had some friendly pets on the property too. Thanks for having us!

Perfect place, perfect location
Beautifully appointed and wonderful home. House has all the bells and whistles to make you feel special and pampered. Location is walking distance to the plaza, while perfectly secluded and private. What a perfect escape. We thoroughly enjoyed this place.
