Welcome to 'Plum Cottage', our cosy Victorian Cottage in middle of the countryside. Pamper yourself in our private spa, book breakfasts, evening meals and even archery or axe-throwing lessons...

Plum Cottage is located in the heart of Grade II listed Sawcliffe Farm. Home to a 400 acre nature reserve and our (very popular) natural spa facilities - we can't wait to show you around!

• Your Cottage •

Plum Cottage is a cosy, semi-detatched cottage.

Surrounded by countryside and a walled garden complete with heritage fruit trees, BBQ and dining area, Plum Cottage has three small double bedrooms, and a double sofa-bed in the living room.

It features, a farmhouse kitchen with an electric range cooker and table that can seat up-to 8. The living room looks out onto the countryside and has a wood-burning oven and Netflix TV, perfect for movie nights.

• Hot Tubs, Saunas: Booking our Natural Spa •

Our natural spa facilities (which is where the hot tubs & saunas on our listing are located) are extremely popular with our guests, and located a 1 minute drive from Plum Cottage, or a 15 minute walk along a countryside road.

We have private sessions available to pre-book at 11am, 2pm and 5.30pm every day.

Though spa sessions, and the use of the spa facilities, are not included in the price of your accommodation booking here on airbnb, spa sessions start from £45/guest, and are really easy to add it onto your stay. Just let us know when booking, or use your Guest App to book directly.

• Private Spa Sessions •

Our spa is is 100% natural, using wood-fire and fresh-water, it's a uniquely beautiful spa experience.

Don't worry, if you're travelling with children, infants, pregnancies or dogs, we offer spa variations, adapted for your needs, so that you can enjoy the spa together.

→ Cleopatra Milk & Flower Hot Tub Ritual, 2 hours:

Available at 11am or 2pm, this spa session takes us 2.5 hours to prepare, and includes our famous milk & flower hot tub. It can be adapted to vegan, pregnancy, child, infant, and dog friendly variations. We recommend it for romantic getaways or small groups.

2-6 guests: £45/guest.

→ Twilight Natural Spa Experience, 3 hours:

Our 'Twilight Natural Spa' session, is a fabulous experience for those wanting to push the boat out. This private spa session takes us 7.5 hours to prepare for guests to enjoy, but it's worth every minute of effort. It includes the private use of all of our natural spa facilities, including our spectacular Estonian iglu-sauna, and sunset hot-tub views over the countryside. We can be adapt this spa session to vegan, child (9+ years old) and dog friendly variations. We recommend it for special occasions or large groups.

• Booking Breakfast & Catering •

We offer a selection of delicious breakfast, afternoon tea, grazing domes and 3 course evening meal hampers you can add to your stay.

Delivered directly to the Plum Cottage's kitchen so that you can enjoy them at your leisure using our lovely warm AGA and kitchen area, we can offer, Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and lactose free variations. To book, just let us know, or book via your Guest App.

→ Mini breakfast hamper

Inspired by our farm location, this breakfast is perfect for those wanting to feel at home in the Plum Cottage's kitchen in the morning.

Pricing: £15/guest.
Timings: 6am-11am delivery to the Plum Cottage's kitchen.

→ Special Occasion farmhouse breakfast hamper

Designed for birthdays, and anniversaries, this breakfast is loaded full of foodie goodies and is perfect for those wanting to surprise a special someone.

Pricing: £25/guest.

→ 3 Course Evening Meal Hamper

Yummy pies and creamy chocolate fondants, we've even sourced a delicious Great Taste Award winning cheese selection from Mary's cows at Cote Hill Farm (2km from Sawcliffe). Perfect for after a long drive, or a spa session.

Pricing: £35/guest, minimum 2 guests.
Timings: 5.30pm delivery (ready for oven).

→ Afternoon Tea Hamper & Decorations

Available to book a 'surprise' at checkin, our afternoon tea includes cream cakes and all sorts of delicious treats. We'll even include vintage tea-ware and a few surprises of our own.

Pricing: £25/guest.
Timings: 12 noon-4pm

→ Grazing dome

Ideal as a light after spa treat, or something to look forward to after a long drive. Tuck into tapas, local cheeses, dips and goodies.

Pricing: £15/guest.

• Booking Archery & Axe Throwing •

We have an archery and axe throwing range on the farm. Lessons are subject to the availability of Reg, our bush-craft teacher. We recommend booking in as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

Archery lesson: £30/guest, minimum 4 guests, or £120 for 1-4 guests.
Bonfire & axe throwing evening: £35/guest, minimum 4 guests, or £140 for 1-4 guests.

• Availability & Checkin •

You can arrive at your leisure from 4pm onwards. Self-check-in is available for all guests and we'll send you the access codes on the morning of your checkin.

• Extending your stay •

To make the most of your stay, we recommend booking a spa session before your checkin, at 2pm, or after your checkout time, at 11am. This is a lovely way to extend your stay by 2 hours, especially if you're with us for one night.

• Gift Shop •

We have a small gift shop on the farm where you can buy drinks, snacks and cosmetics for our natural spa. We also have a selection lovely handcrafted gifts from all over the UK and Europe. Come and have a nosey!

• Travelling with Dogs •

The following dog fees are applicable to your booking if you're travelling with dogs:

Small dogs: £15/night/dog:
Miniature breed like a dachshund. Under 8kg or 1.25 stone.

Medium dogs: £18/night/dog:
Spaniel size or cockapoo size. Under 15 kg, or 2.3 stone.

Large dogs: £20/night/dog:
Labrador size upwards. Over 15 kg, or 2.3 stone.

If you are travelling with a dog, you must let us know about your pets during the online checkin process on your Guest App. You will be asked "are you travelling with any pets". If you answer "yes" - we will send you a link to add and pay for your dog via your custom Guest App.

• Online Checkin •

As it is a requirement in Austria to submit a copy of an ID when travelling, you'll be asked to complete a short online checkin prior to receiving access to the property. You will also be asked to read and sign our rental agreement, and submit a refundable security deposit.

• Refundable Security Deposit •

As we have mini-bars and items for sale, guests are required to preauthorise a security deposit via a credit or debit card 24 hours before checkin. This preauthorisation will be managed using the Guest App that will be sent to you immediately after booking. It will be automatically be returned to you 2-4 days after checkout.

• Why do we hold a Security Deposit? •

Unfortunately, we have been victims of large scale theft in the past. As a result, we are now required by our insurers to hold security deposits with guests. Don't worry, the reasonable and normal use of the property will not result in any additional charges.

• What is the Security Deposit used for? •

Unpaid mini-bar consumption, unpaid extra guests, unpaid dog fees, unexpected additional cleaning (including, but not limited to bodily fluids) and the extremely unlikely event of property damage or theft.

• Your Private Cottage •

Guests will have private access to Plum Cottage. Please note that Plum Cottage is a semi-detached cottage. We have 4 properties open to guests on our farm, so it is a social space.

• Hot Tubs & Saunas •

The wooden hot tub, sauna & copper milk hot tubs featured on our listing photos is part of our 'Natural Spa Facilities'. The use of our spa is not included in your Airbnb booking price, but you can book our spa, and other extras really easily. Our spa is located a very short drive from Plum Cottage, just up the road. If you'd like to book - just let us know and we'll pencil you in.

• The Nature Reserve •

We're lucky enough to have a 400 acre nature reserve on our doorstep with wild exmoor ponies roaming on it. A short drive from our accommodation, it offers extensive walks and extremely beautiful vistas. It is a short 2 min drive to access the Nature Reserve.

• Family Run Farm-stay •

We ask all guests to keep in mind that the Manor & cottages are not a Hotel, but a small family-run farm-stay. We’ll be available online to help with questions, and you can find us in our ‘Spa Reception and Gift Shop’ on most days between 10am and 5.30pm.

We offer mini bars and snacks in rooms, and we have catering services available for pre-booking via our Guest App. We don’t have a full concierge service available, but we’ll try to help where we can. We also run a busy livestock farm, so we’re sometimes with our sheep.

• Self Checkin & Guest App •

We have built a Guest App, which you can access via a URL that we will send you, to help you with anything that you need during your stay.

Our Guest App, has a chat and whatsap function so that you can ask us anything and phone us anytime. We will also use our Guest App, to pre authorize your refundable security deposit payment of £200, or help with adding extras like breakfasts or spa sessions to your stay.

Our rooms are all self-checkin, and our Guest App contains instructions, photos and videos to help you with most queries.

• Mini bars •

As we have mini-bars in our rooms, we require a preauthorised credit or debit card on file before checking you into the Manor to pay for room consumption. You will be sent a secure link prior to arrival to submit your card details online.
