Cottage as described and will stay again. It worked well travelling with our dogs.

Wonderful Christmas spent in this cosy seaside cottage

We loved spending Christmas in Dolphin Cottage, it was exactly what we hoped for. The kitchen is fantastic, perfect for cooking a big meal with everything you could possibly need. We loved sitting by the cosy wood burners after a chilly walk along the beach. The garden looks beautiful although we didn't use it as it was winter. Comfortable beds and really nice bathroom. Also brilliant communication with Henry Adams Holiday Cottages who were super helpful and kind. Thanks for the Christmas decorations too! It is a gorgeous place to stay.

Lovely Cottage

Dolphin Cottage is in a very quiet and pretty lane, quite close to the beach, and some shops and pubs. The cottage is beautifully decorated, very clean, well equipped kitchen and the two wood burning stoves are lovely to have in the winter months. We brought our bikes and enjoyed cycling around the island. The nature reserves are particularly interesting and beautiful. When we arrived at Dolphin Cottage it was very cold. It would have been nice if the heating had been set to come on before we arrived. We turned up the thermostat, but the radiators only reached lukewarm. Eventually we worked out that the setting on the boiler was turned down to 35 degrees, which wasn’t enough to get the room temperature above 16.5 degrees. Once we turned up the boiler setting to 50 degrees, the radiators started to get warm. We also lit both wood burning stoves, and that helped to warm the cottage up. We were fairly comfortable for the rest of the week. Though it is worth bearing in mind that there is a huge draught from under the front door, (you can see daylight under the door!), so we were careful to keep the doors to the living areas closed. And it was definitely a good idea to bring warm jumpers! Otherwise it was all great!

Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es gibt viele Bücher und Zeitschriften. Vor allem die geräumige, helle Küche mit kurzen Weg zum Garten. Der Garten am Haus ist ebenfalls wunderschön und hat inmitten der vielen Blumen 2 schöne Sitzplätze. Parken kann man bequem vor dem Haus und zum Strand sowie zum Einkaufen ist es zu Fuß nicht weit.
