The name says it all. There’s a certain unpretentiousness, a welcome respite from posturing at this easygoing ocean-view vacation home. Villa What Else (WTS) reveals a dash of insouciance from the moment you walk in, welcoming you in a cocoon of laid-back comfort and style. The modern design, the grace of the architecture, and the stunning sea views over Pointe Milou, Lorient Bay and the surrounding islands add up to a luxury rental that’s so singular, what else could it be called?

Right above the Christopher Hotel in Pointe Milou, Villa What Else is truly one of a kind. It’s built over three levels, the better to maximize those sea views. The layout also enhances privacy, which makes this island house a good choice for extended families or groups of friends traveling together.

The villas main level comprises a cozy indoor living and dining area, with beautiful weathered-wood tables; an open-air covered living area on the terrace; an infinity pool; an open kitchen with a pass-through that makes sending meals out to the outdoor eight-seater table easy; and two of the villa’s four bedrooms.

On the level below, two additional bedrooms offer comfortable sleep; while smaller than the upstairs rooms, they also have Euro king beds, large and modern bathrooms and ocean views. Each of the bedrooms occupies its own private pavilion, and warm woodworks—which were constructed in and imported from Bali—enhance the welcoming vibe throughout. Also, there is a grassy nook set up with sunbeds—one more thing that makes the living at Villa What Else effortless.

On the lowest level of the property lies the covered parking garage, which has room for three cars in addition to the outside parking area.
