Countryside Cottage Retreat w/BIG HotTub/Alton-Tow

Dating back to the 1830’s, our home is full of character. Tollgate House is a Grade II listed building and a perfect getaway for couples or families wanting to visit the Peak District National Park Area, Staffordshire Moorlands or Alton Towers (only 6 miles away).

Enjoy beautiful views from our large patio lounge area, have a BBQ or relax in the 9 person hot-tub!

The Space:

Tollgate House is a luxurious, cozy cottage in the heart of the English Countryside perfect for couples or small groups. Located just minutes from Alton Towers Theme Park, this cottage has everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

The property is perfect for a country getaway and features a huge hot tub, making it the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.



Inside the property our guests can relax in the living room area which features a large smart TV and cast iron effect electric stove perfect for a warm cozy night in. The sofa pulls out into a double bed with all of the bedding stored neatly away underneath.

To to the rear of the living room is the dining area comprising of seating for 6 guests around the glass dining table.



Our entertainment room with large patio doors giving spectacular views and leading out to the garden area is perfect for chilling out watching TV, having fun playing board games. At night, the sofa also pulls out into a double bed with the bedding tucked away neatly underneath.



The kitchen features all of the amenities you come to expect in a modern kitchen including the tools for the BBQ outside.

The bathroom's highlight feature is the large bath Jacuzzi and the large walk-in shower area.



Venturing upstairs to the bedroom area, the first stop on the left is our cozy guest bedroom with double bed and elegant decor.

Further on to the front of the property overlooking the main Tean Road is the master bedroom. The main double bed takes centre stage accompanied by the single sofa bed if required for smaller guests.



Our outdoor area is the jewel in the crown and our favourite part of the property. The large dining area with seating for 8 guests enjoys the warmth of the chiminea and the large coal BBQ when entertaining guests.

Leading down the steps to the middle level, our 9 person hot-tub is the main attraction of the patio area.

Relaxing and enjoyable large jacuzzi with views looking out over the meadows.

"Please Note" :

Our property is located on a busy road, but don't worry we do provide ears plugs if you are a light sleeper and we really hope that this is not an impediment to enjoy your stay, because ....

The charm and allure of Tollgate house lures you in so much that you wont want to leave!



Guest Access:

Our guests have access to the full property including the 3 car driveway.

No aditional parking available.



The rear of the property is fully enclosed and gives exclusive access to the hot-tub, private BBQ dining area and kids playground.



The sleeping arrangements are made up as follows:-

Living Room = 1 double sofa bed

Entertainment Room = 1 double sofa bed

Master Bedroom = 1 double bed + 1 single small sofa bed

Guest Bedroom = 1 double bed

Total = 9 people



4 ADULTS MAX + 5 CHILDREN



The Neighborhood:

Only a mile away from the historic market town of Cheadle, Tollgate House enjoys the splendid views of the countryside and moorlands.

With plenty of hiking trails and outdoor pursuits on our doorstep, the property is a great base for those who love the great outdoors.

Only a few minutes walk from the old railway track that many love to explore for a peaceful wander.

A quick walk to the local pub, The Ship Inn boasts a mouth watering home made menu at very reasonable prices.



Other Things to Note:

One point to note: The property does have a small number of steps leading up to the property entrance and to the rear patio area which may be something to bear in mind for guests with mobility issues.
