We love this location for the view, as well as to be away from the hustle and bustle, and really have a quiet moment on our trip. Easy access to sienna and all that Tuscany has to offer.

We loved staying at Simona’s property. Simona was a great host, and her house is well equipped, comfortable and in a beautiful setting. While it could have been made clearer on the listing that the pool was closed during our stay, there was plenty for us to do near by in Siena and the surrounding area.

Very nice stay at Colombaiolo, very good location, on the country side and close to the city of Sienna in the meantime. Simona and her husband are very nice and welcoming. We really enjoyed with our 2 daughters.

Our 6 week stay at the gated Farmhouse Colombaiolo situated in a working olive orchard, was perfect. We stayed in a charming 2 level apartment with a kitchen that had everything we needed to find a perfect balance of dining out or preparing our own home-cooked meals which included grilling most of our meals on an outdoor masonry barbecue fireplace. The swimming pool was perfect for the hot weather and to do short lap swimming with plenty of poolside furniture to work on your sun tan. We exchanged linens and towels once a week. We used a washing machine on-site and hung our on the clotheslines which was more than sufficient. The location is a short 12-15 minute drive from Siena's town center or 10 minute walk to the bus stop servicing Siena. It's a 15 minute walk to the nearby grocery store and bakery. The location was excellent for us as we had a rental car and made numerous day trips throughout Tuscany, spanning from the Brunello wine region surrounding Montalcino to many of the picturesque towns to include San Gimignano, and to beaches on the west coast. Our hosts, Simona and Stefano were wonderful. Simona's english is very good. We were able to communicate easily with Simona who was a treasure trove of advice when we asked about great places to eat (the locals' favorites), places to visit, and where to go for weekly chores. Simona even arranged an appointment for my girlfriend to get her hair cut at her hairdresser. A 5 Star stay.

Excellent stay. Great location. Very nice property and unit. Simona the property manager was very helpful and gave us a tour of the property and some lettuce from her garden. Location is good. You can actually drive or walk down the road to the bus stop which will take you to Siena so no need to hunt for parking there. Close to grocery stores - highly recommended!

Super week in Tuscany

Great location, out in the Tuscan countryside, yet still on the doorstep of Siena, and of road networks allowing easy day trips across southern Tuscany. Simona was an absolutely charming host. Thoroughly recommend.

Home Base

We loved our stay at Colombaiolo and Simona was fantastic and so helpful. We planned a lot of day trips from there through the week. Coupled with the unseasonable weather and sadly we didn’t get to enjoy the pool but it was ready and very inviting. Would stay again and recommend.

Very lovely nice clean apartment in beautiful area

The welcome was warm with a nice bottle of red wine from the Azienda ! The apartment was very clean , lovely furnished and well maintained. Maybe in the kitchen for the oven I missed an baking dish, but further well equipped with large refrigarator and freezer (good for the kids for the ice creams:) Lovely pool to cool down There is an wash machine outside our apartment which we could use. Simona (a very friendly woman) gives a lot of information & tips about the area .

A perfect stay in Siena

We loved our stay at Simonas place. Our apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed and we also had a nice patio right outside, which we used a lot. The poolarea was a relaxing oasis in the middle of olive trees. It is located in the outskirts of Siena, very calm but still close to both grocery store as well as the citycenter and it took about 6-7 minutes to get to the central parts of the town. Our hostess Simona was very friendly and welcoming. She was helpful with tips on both restaurants and things to do. We are very happy with our stay and would love to go back another time.
