Monastery 17 is a beautiful top floor apartment , overlooking Loch Ness , just perfect for monster spotting
Sleeps up to 7 with 2 bedrooms , a sofa bed in the lounge and a fold out chair with 2 bathrooms , All linen included

The main bathroom is the star of the show , As you can bath overlooking Loch Ness , it has the largest window on site for the most spectacular view . Simply Breathtaking

There is also free wi-fi and BT Vision in the apartment with Netflix films

The Kitchen is very compact but has everything you should need, including a cooker & hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc.

A point to note : due to the history nature of the building , there is no lift , And being on the top floor, there are a number of steps , but well worth it !

Located within the 20 acres of private ground of St Benedict's Abbey. Our luxury holiday rental apartments overlook uninterrupted views of Loch Ness, Scotland, making them an ideal base for touring the Scottish Highlands. Activities for all the family including: Tennis Court, Table Tennis, Giant Chess, Croquet Lawn, Children's Adventure Play Area and barbecue area. We really enjoyed staying here. It is such an impressive and unique building right on Loch Ness. The apartment is not luxury but good value, comfortable and has accommodations for a whole family. The bathroom really does have an amazing view. The other windows are a little more difficult to see out of unless you’re really tall. We also really enjoyed the pool and walking to the village.

Thank you for your kind comments , We are really pleased you all had a good time , However we are curious what you mean about not being luxury ? I guess it’s what you are used too ? Or a matter of opinion? To us the owners , We would class it as a luxury apartment , judging by the amount of money we spent on it ! The windows are and have to be conservation windows , due to the nature of the historic building, But they are at normal height , Yes it would be amazing if every window is like the bathroom , big huge double windows, But sadly , It’s a former monastery , and before that a fort , built for self protection Yes it is good value as I lowered the price to make it available to all , So no champagne , or chocolates or luxury gifts . Simply a spectacular family home , in a spectacular building in a spectacular location .

Perfect stay at a gorgeous apartment. The views are amazing and the property is beautifully maintained. The check in process was so nice, the owners are lovely and have great knowledge. Highly recommend, just pack lightSince there are no elevators.

Wonderful unique property with lovely views overlooking Loch Ness. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with it's own washer/dryer which we really appreciated after several days of walking! The swimming pool was great to unwind in after a day's exploring, and who can say they've been swimming in a converted chapel?! Thank you for making our stay so memorable :)

We would move in if we could. :) The pictures honestly don’t do this apartment justice. It’s clean, spacious, and the beds and couches were comfortable. Lots of natural light made it feel even bigger. The views are incredible - don’t miss a soak in the large stand alone tub that overlooks Loch Ness! The town is a two minute walk away and has the cutest shops and restaurants. We only had three nights here and could have stayed much longer. Really can’t overstate how amazing this place was.

It was perfect. Could not habe imagined a better place to stay. Being able to look out on Loch Ness every morning when bathing was an amazing experience. Location to walk around town was excellent.

Great stay in Fort Augustus. Host was very friendly and gave us a thorough tour of the facilities. The apartment is bigger than we expected and everything was clean and comfortable. The grounds and amenities are really cool and made our stay memorable. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was unique and more than we had anticipated. The grounds and interior of the monastery were all exceptional and very interesting. The Bothy restaurant close by was a great place to eat.

A Vacation to Remember

This was the perfect spot for us. Located right on Loch Ness, this beautiful and stunning property was peaceful, clean, and quiet. Located about 45-50 minutes from Inverness, the Monastery was situated in a gorgeous town with some shops and restaurants.

Unique and wonderful

We had a wonderful time at the Abbey. The host and staff were so accommodating, adjusting their schedule due to our delays and highly responsive. The views were wonderful and our three boys loved playing chess in the courtyard and wandering the grounds. A great location for excursions to Inverness, Ullapool, Fort Williams, or to just relax. Wonderful cafe nearby at the lochs. Very memorable trip and would come again.
