We had a lovely short break at The Stables.

We had a lovely short break at The Stables. The property was very clean, cosy and very nicely furnished. The views over the countryside are stunning. Rachel is a very welcoming host. The location is perfect for visiting all that Rutland had to offer. Highly recommended.

Fabulous Accomodation

The location was perfect, amazing views out of every window. Property spotless and had everything we needed. Owner very pleasant and helpful. Would definitly love to stay again.

Having searched for a property for a weekend break for the both of us and our little Dachshund we selected this property. It is set in wonderful scenery and rolling hills all around. The property is set back from any roads so there is zero road noise which we found astounding living in a city.The host has ensured that there is plenty of cleaning products (unlike some properties where they only provide a couple of dishwasher tablets etc). They even provided dog towels right by the front door. (we did bring our own but did not have to use them)!We wanted a place that was off the beaten track and this property did not disappoint. Its only a few miles drive away to Rutland Water which we visited every day during our stay for a long tranquil walk.Overall we were pleased with the booking. Being critical I was disappointed that all the pictures show a well manicured lawned garden but this is actually for the owners use only. The property actually comes with a small concrete patio (not great for my dog). Speaking to the owner she did advise that we could use the neighbouring paddock which had overgrown grass and was not the best for my small dog. The only other negative is the cleanliness of the property. On the surface it was clean until you dropped anything and then you found that you were picking up the item but also cobwebs with it. I have noted two of my criticisms here but I feel there are a lot of positives as well. The location (if you love the peace and quiet), the layout of the house is great and spacious, the amenities within the property have been carefully though out and make for a great escape from anyone's busy life.
