Family trip with dad, mom, 12 yo, 9 yo, and 2 yo kids. The house was clean and tidy. Comfy beds, A/C units blow cold. Great indoor and outdoor spaces. The river section at this house was wide, clear, and shady with water 1-3 feet deep. We spent hours floating and reading in that spot. Just a short walk up was a fun rocky area with a swimming hole and some dams/shoots previous families had made. There's no TV, so we didn't get to binge The Chosen, but the wifi is strong. You should bring a favorite board game or that book you've been meaning to finish. This house has two things I've not seen in a vacation house - a record player with plenty of fun records, and a bookcase full of books you'd actually want to read. The green belt is fun to explore, mom and son did their run workouts along it. The neighborhood is quiet and dark so we stargazed each night. Bandera is a few minutes away and has a good grocery store (it's a Lowes Market, not HEB, but it's good, quit being so picky) and some usual places to get takeout. We really enjoyed the Bandera Natural History Museum. It's packed full of Spanish art and taxidermy. We hiked at the nearby Hill Country State Natural Area.
