Spacious Tuscany Country House Near Sea | 2BR, 2BA, Large Garden, AC - Tower

La Casa Toscana is a beautifully restored 18th century Tuscan country house located on ‘The Wine Road’ between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri.
The property has two levels:
- the bottom, where my family lives and where I teach my cooking classes.
- the top, where TWO spacious apartments, with independent entrance and equipped with AIR CONDITIONING, are rented for holidays.

APARTMENT TORRE is located on the upper level of La Casa Toscana and it’s great for two couples or families with up to 3 kids, as there are two large bedrooms where is possible to add an extra bed.
The apartment is 90 mq (970 square feet) with a big living room 25 mq (270 square feet), a well equipped kitchen and 2 spacious bed rooms. The apartment is furnished with our family’s antique pieces to give you the same personal feeling that we have in our own home. The apartment overlooks the medieval tower and the Tuscan countryside ending into the Mediterranean sea.
Air conditioning and wifi connection are provided for free.

THE PROPERTY: The property is dominated by the medieval village of Castagneto Carducci famous for top class vineyards, rolling hills and incredible cycling roads. It’s a perfect position for a holiday: several sandy beaches few minutes drive away, cypress-lined cycling routes, tiny villages nestled between the sea and the hills. Everything is very close even though we are in the countryside and the property is ideal for a family vacation, relaxing or an active holiday!

THE GARDEN: The property is surrounded by one hectare (1/4 acre) garden with an olive orchard, fruit trees, fresh herbs and typical plants of the Mediterranean. The garden is equipped with dining tables and chairs. In several strategic points around the garden, comfortable sitting areas have been arranged, equipped with deckchairs and armchairs, perfect for simply relaxing in complete peace and quiet. It is the ideal place to spend many magic moments with your family or friends. For fun, visit our recreational area where we have a bocce ball court and a foosball table equipped with outdoor lighting. Adults and children alike will enjoy this area and our large back lawn where all can play with our three friendly cats and loving dog. There is a parking place in the shade, very comfortable when it is hot.

THE BEACH: The beach is only 7 km away. It’s also possible to ride your bicycle to the beach through very safe small country roads.

THE AREA: The village of Castagneto is reachable in twenty minutes walking from the house or 5 min driving. This quiet and charming village offers all the services (pharmacy, bank with ATM, etc.) and little restaurants to taste a delicious bruschetta served with a glass of wine from a local producer.

Donoratico, 4 km from the property, offers big supermarkets, all kind of shops and the railway station to get to the main cities (Rome, Pisa, Florence, etc.). Siena, Pisa, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano and many other beautiful destinations are about 1-2 hours away by car, perfect for a day trip. There are few sandy beaches, and our favorite is very safe for children with shallow water for many meters.

Bolgheri, 8 km from the property, is an enchanting hamlet with bars and restaurants, for your morning coffee or special dinners.

THE WINE: We live in a wine region where some of the most famous Super Tuscan wines are produced just few km from our property. We can help you to organize a visit to world-class vineyards and cellars, learn about the prestigious Bolgheri DOC region and enjoy superb wines.

MY FAMILY: We live at the bottom level of the farmhouse and I teach Italian cooking classes. My husband lives between Chamonix and Tuscany, and he is always ready to give you all the information to enjoy the area. We are passionate cyclists, and this area is famous for cycling. We can help you to find the perfect roads!

COOKING CLASSES: We would love you and your party to join one of our cooking classes. Our classes are completely hands-on, where you will be involved in every stage, making everything from scratch and having a great introduction to Italian culinary traditions and cuisine.

This is the perfect place for food, wine and cycling enthusiasts!

Close to a nice beach

We really enjoyed the stay in the apartment and our daughter enjoyed the two dogs on the premises. Chicca was very friendly and everything just went smoothly. Would definitely recommend the location!

Beautiful holiday apartment in Tuscany

This is the second time we have rented the apartment. The apartment is very well-equipped, with mosquito nets, shutters, and air conditioning in every room. The kitchen and rooms are lovingly equipped with everything you need. The garden, with its many herb beds, is a wonderful place to be. Chica and Arnaud are wonderful hosts, and I will definitely return again.

Great Location with a fantastic outside area

Very clean, spacious and perfect climated appartement. Plenty of room for families. The garden is outstanding with many seatings to enjoy sunsets, to rest an play etc. Not far situated from supermarktes, the sea, beautiful tuscan villages etc.

The perfect place in Tuscanny

This is the perfect place to stay in Tuscanny. Chicca and Arnaud are the best hosts you can ask for, both friendly, warm-hearted and with a lot of advices what to do in the area. If you like bicycling or cooking (or both) - this is the place to be!!! The apartement was very spacious and clean and we are already looking forward for the next time, we can be here!

Great relaxing place

We had 10 really nice days here in June. The spacious accommodation is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything needed. Good mattraces and effective mosquito nets in the windows. The garden is huge and offers plenty of nice places to relax and play. Our kids enjoyed to play there and our dog was as happy as can be due to the dogs Birra and Frida who welcomed her as a new friend. Chicca and Arnaud have been extremely friendly, relaxed and helpful. (Thank you! We are looking forward to our next stay at your wonderful place :-))

We had a fantastic stay at Chicca's apartment rental in Castagneto Carducci! The apartment was very easy to find and Chicca was very easy to contact and communicate with. She gave us a long list of recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc. before we arrived, which we found extremely helpful. Parking was very easy and the apartment was spacious and clean. Chicca took genuine interest in our plans and we could tell she really wanted us to have a great time. We felt at home while staying with her! We look forward to going back again in the future and spending more time there!

A perfect place under the tuscan sun

Having just returned from staying at Chicca`s place for 7 days I can now only recommend this beautiful place. Chicca warmly welcomed us upon arrival. She made up this 18th century old farmhouse very beautifully and restored it to its old glory. The apartment was spacious and very nicely decorated with authentic, rustique furniture and wall hangings. Also the kitchen was very well equipped with cooking utensils and china. This house is well located to a nearby "wild" beach and the village in walking distance where we found nice restaurants with good food and warm hospitality. All in all,I can say: it was a home from home. Thank you very much,Chicca, for having us.

A Perfect Tuscan Getaway – Highly Recommend

We recently spent four nights at this beautiful two-bedroom apartment in Castagneto Carducci, and it exceeded all our expectations. The location was ideal—tucked into a charming village with several enotecas just steps away, world-class wineries within minutes, and easy access to the beach. It truly offered the best of Tuscany: wine, food, views, and relaxation.The apartment itself was fabulous—clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with all the comforts of home. It was the perfect base for exploring the region, yet cozy enough to enjoy slow mornings or a quiet glass of wine in the evening.Our host, Chica, was outstanding. She went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, arranging dinner reservations for us at a different incredible restaurant each night and organizing a personalized wine tasting that was one of the highlights of our trip. Her hospitality and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for an unforgettable stay in one of Tuscany’s most beautiful corners, this is the place. We’re already dreaming of our return.

Chicca and Arnaud were amazing hosts. They gave us recommendations for dinners out, supermarkets, and local events to attend. Arnaud took us to the beach to check the beautiful seaside area and gave us a tour around the town. We were able to take a cooking class with Chicca which was a highlight. Tutto perfetto. Soggiorno da sogno. Il posto è bellissimo e i proprietari sono gentilissimi ed i loro consigli si sono rivelati perfetti! L’appartamento è grande e spazioso e tutto funziona, il giardino ed il parco sono bellissimi e la zona in generale è perfetta. Cittadine e paesi bellissimi, spiagge meravigliose. Sehr schöne, familäre Unterkunft in super Lage

Das Haus und seine Vermieter empfingen uns warmherzig und gemütlich. Die Wohnung bietet alles was man braucht, das dazugehörige Grundstück ist riesig mit viel Platz für alles mögliche. Die beiden Hofhunde sind ganz liebe Tiere mit einem freundlichen Charakter. Tolle Städte wie Pisa und Florenz sind nach kurzer Zeit zu erreichen und auch der Alltags Einkauf lässt sich vor Ort problemlos erledigen. Lecker Essen gehen ist für ca 70,- Eur für 4 Personen auch kein Problem.

Wir waren mit unseren drei Kindern und unserem Hund bei Chicca. Alle fühlten sich sehr wohl. Die beiden Hunde auf dem Grundstück sind sehr lieb, sowohl zu unseren Kindern als auch zu unserem Hund. Man hat mehrere Möglichkeiten im Garten zu sitzen und dort die lauen Nächte zu genießen.

Bolgheri wine road idyll

This lovely property is right along the Bolgheri wine road. Chicca & Arnaud are welcoming and gracious people. Chicca is an architect who teaches Tuscan cooking classes in her home kitchen. We have stayed here twice & shall return.

Super schöner Urlaub mit Hund⭐⭐⭐

Ja, was soll ich sagen... Wir waren 3 Personen und 1 Hund (Golden Retriever). Die Ferienwohnung (Torre) war genau wie beschrieben. Schöne Einrichtung. Alles da was man so braucht. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Prima sauber! Der Empfang war sehr nett. Und wenn wir Fragen hatten, waren wir immer gut beraten. Hunde sind herzlich willkommen. Und wie bei andreren Rezessionen erwäht, findet man dort ein Hundeparadies vor. Riesiger, eingezäunter Garten. Auch die 2 Hunde der Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben sich mit unserer Hündin prima vertragen. Im Garten gibt es sehr viele Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Es ist ein ruhiger Aufenthaltsort. Man ist schnell am Meer oder in wunderschönen Dörfern wie z. B. Bolgheri. Ja, wir haben diesen Urlaub sehr genossen! Und waren nicht das letzte Mal dort😊

Schönes Appartement mit riesigem Garten

Die Wohnung ist schön und gut ausgestattet. Der eingezäunte Garten mit vielen Bäumen bietet viel Platz zum chillen oder toben mit Hund. Chicca und ihr Mann sind super nett und haben viele tolle Tipps zu Wein, Restaurants, Stränden und einkaufen. Klare Empfehlung.
