Peace and quiet

If you want to rest in quiet place or want to have a cosy and quiet pkace to come back after the whoke day sightseeing in the nature surroundings it is a perfect place for you. The owners very helpfull. For a smaller child some unforgetable memorries with alpaks and horses.

Quiet remote place best for summer

This house lies in a pretty setting, on top of a hill. There are two houses and a swimming pool. We were there in April and unlucky with the weather. It was raining a lot with temperatures around 13-14 degrees. Unfortunately, the house was not much warmer, and it was very difficult to get the old little stove to work (the place is off grid). So it was really cold. We could imagine this being a perfect place in a warm summer though. Important to know as well is that there is quite a bit of dirt road as access road, with some deep holes. It was fine with our rental car but with a lower car, it would be an issue. stove

The property is very nice, inscludng the location. The road in the end is bumpy, we had a flat tire on spot of arrival- which then of course could have happened anywhere else, but more likely on such roads. We enjoyed the location and space neverthesell and despite the unfortunateley unpelasant communication with the owners. I have not had such an experience before and it just did not make you feel welcome, but like a burden and possible troublemaker. It is natural to me to treat rental space carefully and I like things clean around me and would never leave a mess. I do think though it has to be put very clearly on homepages, if endcleaning is not included. i found the communication around that and what they expected or not very insufficient, which created unnecessary stress and time for phonecalls for support to the rental agancy. I also think to communicat this clearly should be in the interest of the hosts and in their responsibility and it is not the agency you can blame. Not what I need during vacation. Also, and particularily after the experience of all extremely freindly potugues hosts on our trip, nothing that I had expected.

Nous avions choisi ce gîte pour vivre l’expérience Portugaise de la campagne. Vous comprendrez donc que vous êtes loin de tout dans la quiétude et au milieu de paysages typiques à couper le souffle. Vous pourrez y vivre des moments relaxants à admirer le coucher du soleil verre à la main! Ou encore profiter de la piscine qui elle saura rendre agréable la chaleur des rayons de soleil. La route d’accès profiterait à être améliorée un peu difficile et avec une voiture de location on est toujours un peu stressé! Le logis est spécieux pour 4 adultes , le réfrigérateur est tout juste, l’eau filtrée au robinet est un plus, les petits lits sont étroits et bruyants pour des adultes. Ici pas de problème de stationnement vous garer à la porte. Les épiceries de Cercal sont pour l’essentiel vous devrez vous rendre à Santiago pour viande, poisson et choix de vin ;-) À Santiago ne manquer pas de visiter les termes Romains 5*. Prenez une journée pour visiter EVora (bien pour le shopping) et sa cathédrale . Si j’ai un Vignoble à recommander pour l’expérience Alentejano réserver à Herdade do Cebolal. En bref l’accueil chaleureux de Dirk et Angela a bien démarré notre séjour entouré de nature, d’Alpaga et du son des cloches à vaches .

Ruhige Lage auf dem Land

Wir sind eher zufällig zur Casa Monte Vale Pereiro gekommen, da unser eigentlich gebuchtes Ferienhaus einen Wasserschaden hatte, der nicht so schnell behoben werde konnte. Das Haus liegt abgeschieden auf einem kleinen Hügel, man schaut über Felder in die Natur. Die kleine Alpakaherde der Besitzer begrüßt einen immer mit neugierigen Blicken, wenn man kommt. Nachts kann man einen wunderschönen Sternenhimmel bewundern, in der Ferne hört man die Hunde der weit entfernten Nachbarn und die Kuhglocken der Kühe, die offenbar nachts draußen bleiben. Ein wiederkehrendes abendliches Konzert, welches wir nicht als störend empfanden, weil die Tiere weiter weg sind. Es gibt noch ein weiteres Haus, welches vermietet wird. Der Abstand zwischen den Häusern ist aber ausreichend groß, so dass man von den Nachbarn kaum etwas mitbekommt. Die Ausstattung im Haus ist schön, mit hochwertigen Holzmöbeln, schöner Bettwäsche und einer insgesamt ökologischen Ausrichtung. Wir würden lediglich anregen wollen, etwas mehr Licht in der Küchenzeile zu installieren und eine Leselampe beim Sofa aufzustellen. Außerdem gab der kleine Fernseher nur ein paar wenige portugiesische Sender her, was für uns aber nicht wichtig war. Dick und Angela, die Besitzer, sind beide sehr sympathisch und zugewandt und hatten immer ein offenes Ohr für unsere Wünsche, wie z.B. ein scharfes Messer für die Küche. Wir haben uns sehr wohl in ihrem Haus gefühlt und empfehlen es auf jeden Fall an ruhesuchende Urlauber weiter!
