Villa Morocco is a beautiful Mediterranean villa, surrounded by a mature, extensive, and luxuriant garden, all fences The villa stands in a magnificent sea view location between the coast villages of Pescoluse and Torre Pali. The villa is very close (only 1500 metres) to the beautiful white sand beaches and crystal-clear Ionian Sea (blue flag). The famous cliffs and caves are also near, just 9km away. Villa Morocco is conveniently situated for sightseeing as it is quite near (only 7 kilometres) to the highway, thus making the tourist towns easy to reach. The villa is shaded by tall pine trees and in its grounds there are also olive, citrus and fruit trees, flowers and rose bushes, and the aromatic plants of the Mediterranean bush. The villa is built around a large inner court with potted plants and it is divided into self-standing, completely independent properties. Each property has two doors, (one leading to the patio and one to the inner court), its own private outdoor areas (large shaded patio, roof terrace) in addition to the villa garden, and a covered parking space inside the gates. From the villa and the grounds you can enjoy delightful sea views.

SEASIDE AND COUNTRYSIDE AND SIGHTSEEING: The location of the villa is quite special: it is a country house (a “masseria”) but at the same time it is really near the beach (only 1500 mt) and is also close to the highway (just 7 km) and to the coast road (900 metres). You can enjoy the peace and quiet of a country retreat as well as spectacular sea-views but you can also get to the beach in a matter of minutes and to the highway in less than a quarter of an hour. Thus the villa combines the charm of a “masseria” (ancient farm house), surrounded by a very large, mature garden, with the convenience of a seaside accommodation and with the advantage of being extremely well-located for sightseeing as the highway is so near. The extensive grounds of the villa include a pine wood and an olive grove, palms and oleanders, citrus and fruit trees, a little kitchen garden with season produce and a herb patch. Before their arrival, guests will receive a file with some information on restaurants, shops, beach lidos, places worth visiting etc.

LONG, FINE SAND BEACHES & CLIFFS and CAVES: Salve’s coast is mainly composed of long fine sand beaches, all with Blue flag status. There are lidos where you can rent beach umbrellas, etc alternating with “free” beach. The beaches are very clean and the sea is warm and clear. It is safe for young children as the sea bottom slopes gently down.
Going towards S. Maria di Leuca the shore becomes rocky. At the “Porticciolo” beauty spot (9 km from the villa) you can see the first caves, sunbathe on the cliff and dive into the sea.
The boat tours from the crystalline Ionian sea to the sapphire blue Adriatic are a fantastic way of seeing the caves. From S. Maria di Leuca to Otranto, the wonderful coast road is right over the reefs, with spectacular inlets like “il Ciolo”, etc.
The coast is enchanting also on the Ionian side, from Leuca to Gallipoli and Taranto. The magnificent nature and marine reserve of Porto Selvaggio (nature trails in the pine forest) and the splendid reefs of Torre Uluzzo are at 45 minutes’ drive from the villa.

TOURIST TOWNS & SUMMER FESTIVALS: Salento is one of the most beautiful parts of Puglia. Within easy reach from the property you can find the splendours of Baroque art, Norman castles, Roman amphitheatres, frescoes and mosaic floors in churches. Don’t miss the wonderful Lecce, Gallipoli, Galatina, Otranto but also S. Maria di Leuca, Presicce, Alessano, Specchia, Maglie etc are certainly worth a visit. Last but not least, all the landscape is rich in artistic details: Saracen watch-towers, dry-stone walls, the embattled towers of the fortified farmhouses…
Salento is also famous for its delicious food and wine and for its festivals, which take place almost every week in summer and which range from classical music to Lecce’s international rock festival, from the famous “Night of the Taranta” (the heady song and dance “pizzica”) to all the very enjoyable events celebrating typical food and drink (sagre). The people from Salento are wonderfully hospitable and these festivals are a really agreeable part of the holiday.

Our favourite villa

My husband &I have been staying here every summer for years and are never disappointed. Our hostess is gracious and Silvanna the housekeeper is a gem. Un appartamento dotato di tutti i comfort arredato con gusto in una splendida villa situata su un’altura a pochi minuti dal mare. La location prevede altri due appartamenti totalmente indipendenti. Da segnalare il bel giardino attentamente curato, la pergola sotto la quale rilassarsi sulle comode sdraio, il barbecue e la comodissima doccia esterna. Una sistemazione assolutamente da consigliare anche per la disponibilità della padrona di casa Elisabetta e della collaboratrice in loco Silvana.

Empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung

Die Ferienwohnung legte den Grundstein für einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub. Nach der Buchung informierte uns die Gastgeberin sehr umfangreich über die genaue Anreise, der Ausstattung der FeWo, den Besonderheiten der Nutzung der technischen Geräte, des Eincheckens, der Kontaktaufnahme mit Silvana (Der Betreuerin vor Ort) sowie über die Sehenswürdigkeiten, gastronomichen Einrichtungen, und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten . So waren wir sehr gut auf unsere Ankunft vorbereitet. Dank der guten Anfahrtbeschreibung haben wir ohne Probleme die Villa Morocco gefunden. Aber auch das Navigationsystem hat ohne Probleme in der Region funktioniert. Die Ausstattung entsprach den Angebotsbeschreibungen im Internet und ließ an nichts mangeln. Die technischen Geräte u.a. der Fernseher, die Waschmaschine und der Geschirrspüler haben sich gut bedienen lassen und funktionierten ohne Probleme. Besonders die Außendusche wurde bei den sommerlichen Temperaturen sehr gut genutzt. Die Lage der Terrasse mit Blick zum Meer bot einen ständigen Sonnenschutz. Besonders die sehr ruhige Lage hat uns sehr wohl getan. Mit dem PKW lassen sich von der Villa aus sehr gut sowohl die Küsten am Ionischen Meer als auch an der Adria erkunden. Unsere Gastgeberin sowie Silvana waren ständig bei Problemen erreichbar und ansprechbar. Entgegen den Ankündigungen funktionierte das WLAN (Wifi) Vorort sehr gut. Zusammenfassend: Unbedingt weiter zu empfehlen.

Pace e tranquillità

L’appartamento è fornito di tutto, non manca davvero nulla. La terrazza è godibile in tutte le ore del giorno, c’è un bel tavolo dove mangiare. La posizione è ottima per raggiungere tante mete del Salento.

Mooie ligging, comfortabel huis

De ligging is afgelegen en rustig. La Palme is in onze ogen het mooist gelegen appartement. Erg veel privacy en daardoor is het dagelijks gebruik van de buitendouche mogelijk: fantastische ervaring. Bij aankomst bleken er erg weinig handdoeken klaar te liggen, deze zijn door Silvana op ons verzoek aangevuld. Het contact verliep soepel.. We hebben een paar keer de Senteiro dei Fani gewandeld die vlak bij het huis begint: een mooie wandeling van zo'n 10 km door het achterland. Ook kun je op verschillende manieren naar zee lopen, allemaal leuk! (Als je van wandelen en natuur houd) . In Torre Pali bevelen wij bar Velo Major van harte aan.

Una Villa favolosa immersa nel verde, confortevole e completa di ogni accessorio. A un minuto dalla spiaggia "Le Maldive del Salento" e situata in una posizione comoda per visitare i luoghi più suggestivi come Santa Maria di Leuca e Gallipoli. Elisabetta e Patrizio sono persone gentili e accoglienti sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni richiesta; Abbiamo passato una vacanza indimenticabile e anche i nostri bambini non volevano più tornare a casa..... Lo consigliamo a tutti, torneremo sicuramente, la doccia all'aperto in mezzo agli ulivi è la ciliegina sulla torta, il contatto con la natura è unico!!!!

Superbe villa

La villa est conforme aux descriptions. Très propre, bien agencée, bien fournie en matériel. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'ouverture sur le jardin, splendide, où les enfants ont beaucoup joué. La villa était très bien conçue, joliement décorée et bien équipée avec la climatisation et les ventilateurs. La douche sous l'olivier très agréable. Vie en plein air en toute sérénité mais aussi maison fraîche. Nous recommandons !!

Heerlijk verblijf

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in villa Morocco. Een aanrader voor degenen die deze kuststreek willen bezoeken. Excursiemogelijkheden, vele toegankelijke stranden. Fijn huis met een prachtig uitzicht. Hartelijke gastvrouw, kortom: een aanrader.

We enjoyed the location of this villa and found it handy for visiting local cities and amazing coast

The property is adequate for a short stay a little smaller than expected but overall we enjoyed the stay it was quiet and handy for sightseeing and host is on hand staying in next property to answer any problems.

Reunion of 4 old school friends

We spent 5 nights renting 2 of the apartments at Elisabetta’s lovely Villa Morocco. Although we did not meet her as she was on holiday there was lots of contact and she was a warm and welcoming hostess. The apts were well appointed and well situated to explore the area. You do need a car. A lovely tranquil place to return at the end of the day, to enjoy a wine and a meal overlooking the garden. Julie

Excellent, quiet accommodation overlooking the bay of Pescoluse

We really enjoyed our stay at Elisabettas house. We were 10 days in "Le Palme" and we did not miss anything. The apartment is located above the bay, about 3 km from Pescoluse away. There is a large, beautiful outdoor area, enough space for the children to play. For beach visits toys for the children, umbrellas and towels are available. Every problem will be solved quickly, thanks to Silvana. Many Thank Elisabetta and Silvana, we will glad to stay at "Le Palme" again on our next visit in Puglia.

Magnificent

My husband and I have been coming to Villa Morocco for several years and we are never disappointed. We love the quiet of the countryside and the privacy the villa offers while being just minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches of Salento. The grounds are lovely, and this year we even had a couple of visits from a fox! The accommodations are perfect, with a full kitchen,comfortable living space and the best outdoor shower ever!!! (of course there is also an indoor shower!) We strongly recommend Villa Morocco for those who appreciate the serenity it offers! Thanks once again to Elisabetta, our wonderful hostess, and Silvana, our kind housekeeper! See you next year!

Le Palme en bougainville zijn 2 ruime vakantie huizen op begane grond, veel privacy, comfortabel.

Het mooie uitzicht, de rust ,het terras, de comfortabele woning met goede buitenstoelen, maken het verblijf een paradijsje . De inrichting van de woning is compleet. Alleen WiFi verbinding heeft geen sterk signaal. Met 4 G een goede ontvangst. Goede parkeergelegenheid voor de gasten met overkapping. Prachtige oprijlaan. Met de auto naar supermarkten, leuke stadjes dichtbij, Lecce en Gallipoli op een uur rijden. Mooie autoriten langs de kust en door binnenland. Voor de strandliefhebbers mooie zanstranden en heldere zee dichtbij. Restaurantjes in de plaatsjes en in omgeving. Veel informatie over woning en bezienswaardigheden in provincie Salve van te voren per mail ontvangen. Prettige ontvangst door Silvana , de ‘ housekeeper’ Wij hebben genoten van deze boeiende omgeving en ook hier onze rust gepakt binnen een hele reis Apulië en Campanië

Outstanding!

This was our second year staying at the villa, and Elizabetta did not disappoint! Everything is clean and readily available (including washing machine). The layout is very comfortable and the location is ideal for us, with the most beautiful sandy beaches only minutes away. Silvana the housekeeper is a delightful young woman and a real gem who rescued us when we locked ourselves out. Elizabetta & Silvana...see you next year!

Garten der Früchte

Ein rundum gelungenes Feriendomizil. Es ist alles sehr gepflegt und mit Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt durch Silvana, auch die ganzen Vorabinformation durch die Besitzerin Elisabetta waren super. Wir haben Anfang Oktober unseren Urlaub in diesem Haus verbracht und hatten durch die Nachsaison alles für uns alleine: Haus, Strände, Straßen...und zum Baden noch perfekte Wassertemperaturen. Ein ganz entspannter und ruhiger Uraub. Wir können dieses Haus nur weiterempfehlen! Extra-Tipp: Der Garten ist voller Früchte, die so lecker schmeckten.

Wir haben im Juli 2016 eine Woche in der wunderschönen Villa Morocco, im La Palme verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr schön und sauber, die Räume sind grosszügig und gut eingerichtet. Vor dem Haus ist die gemütliche Veranda, wo wir jeweils Frühstück und Abendessen genossen haben. Die ganze Anlage ist sauber, sicher und gepflegt, man ist für sich und trotzdem nicht alleine, da noch die Villa gegenüber da ist und da die Schwester der Vermieterin (beides sehr liebenswerte und hilfsbereite Personen) auch da wohnt. Die Strände in der Umgebung sind traumhaft; uns hat Punta Pizzo und der freie Strand (Spiaggia libera) vor Lido Venere in Pescoluse sehr gefallen. Die Kommunikation der Vermieterin war auch sehr gut: man erfährt alle notwendigen Details zum Haus und über die Umgebung und für alles ist gesorgt. Wir kommen also sehr gerne wieder in die Villa Morocco! :)

Oasi di pace nel Salento

Siamo stati molto bene a Salve. La casa si trova appena fuori dal paese, su una piccola collina. È immersa un un bel giardino, con vista mare. La casa è molto curata, pulitissima e fornita di tutto. Molto spazio all'interno e all'esterno. Abbiamo apprezzato molto quei piccoli dettagli in più, che ti fanno sentire a casa. Professionale e ospitale allo stesso tempo. Assolutamente da raccomandare. Bellissima villa in stile salentino completamente

L'appartamento le Palme era conforme alla descrizione presente nell'annuncio, anzi ha superato le nostre aspettative. Pulitissimo, in ottimo stato e fornito di ogni comodità. Soggiornando nell'appartamento le Palme si ha la sensazione è di essere a casa é molto confortevole e arredato con gusto. Il giardino é ampio ben tenuto e ricco di colori si percepisce la dedizione della proprietaria per questo luogo. La signora Elisabetta si é dimostrata attenta alle nostre esigenze, ci sono persino gli ombrelloni per la spiaggia e i giochi per i bambini. Senza alcun dubbio raccomandare Villa Morocco a chiunque voglia passare una vacanza in relax in mezzo agli ulivi e alle bougainville ma a due minuti di auto da un mare meraviglioso.

Phantastic place

English: we, older couple, spent 2 weeks in the apartment Le Palme in Villa Morocco. A perfect place, really, you can believe every review ad the description of the owner. For dutch readers I will make my review in Dutch. Nederlands: Wij waren 2 wekenlang de enige bewoners van de villa. In appartement Le Palme. Samenvattend zou ik op een schaal van 10 een royale 9 scoren. Vanaf het begin, de informatie van de eigenaar (Elisabetta Bernardini) en het directe contact, liep alles feilloos. Het huis zelf ligt afgelegen, op een heuvel, niet ver van zee. Een auto is absoluut noodzakelijk. De omgeving is geweldig. Niet aangeharkt, maar juist heel authentiek. Nergens hoogbouw, overal olijfgaarden, bloemen en weggetjes met stapelstenen. We waren er in mei en dan is alles vrij van toeristen en andere drukte. Het huis is schitterend, met enorm veel ruimte en privacy. De nachten zijn donker en volkomen geluidloos. De eerste buren op zeker een kilometer afstand. De weg naar de kust 5 minuten, naar de betere lido’s 10 minuten. Het appartement Le Palme is ruim en comfortabel, zeker als je met z’n tweeën bent. Ruime slaapkamers, redelijke woonkamer, de keuken overcompleet, oven, vaatwasser etcetera, wel een beetje een pijpenla. Maar het buitengebeuren is fantastisch. Superruime terrassen, elk appartement een eigen groot dakterras met uitzicht op zee. Echt geweldig. De service is verder ook heel goed, Silvana is makkelijk bereikbaar en lost snel kleine probleempjes op. In de zomer zal het hier wel warm zijn,maar de voorzieningen daarvoor zijn goed, schaduwplekken, buitendouche en meestal een frisse wind. Wij hadden in mei wisselend weer, veel zon temperaturen rond 22 graden. Lees verder de andere reviews, iedereen scoort 5 uit 5. Terecht.

My husband and I love Salento, not only for the natural beauty and cultural wealth of its civilization, which is a bridge between the East and the West, but also for the wonderful people who live in this territory. We had been coming here on very enjoyable holidays for a few years when we decided to look for a house to buy. So, in summer 2003 we travelled all around Salento looking at houses, villas, trulli etc. On a sunny day in late August we drove uphill among the Mediterranean bush and the olive trees to visit an old “masseria” which was on sale – it was love at first sight! We immediately decided to buy it and it became Villa Morocco. We think the whole area where the villa is situated is really beautiful - set in a timeless landscape but so close to the ever-changing beauty of the sea. Maybe part of its charm is due to its being a very ancient inhabited site (the Messapic city of Cassandra) – or perhaps to the benevolent spirits that local legends say dwell here …. after all, the villa is quite close to the famous “Cave of the Fairies”!

We love the beautiful shape of the villa, standing proudly on the rock, the sunny court with old cotto tiles, the ancient garden with the tall trees and the flowering shrubs. We enjoy sitting on the terrace and looking at the sea, listening to the crickets’ song in the cool breeze of the evenings or watching the swallows dart against the deep blue sky of the luminous mornings. We also love the variety of the plants of the garden, the Mediterranean bush and the pines behind the villa, the olive grove, the fruit trees and the prickly pears to the south. To us it’s still a great pleasure to cook or barbecue with the oil from our ancient olive trees, each one well known in its individual shape, to pick lemons or figs, or some aromatic herbs in the cotto pots. We love coming home from the sun-drenched beach and have a shower outdoors in the cool, scented shade of the garden…
