Mirador Del Estrecho

A haven for a great family holiday, this 5 person/ 2 bathroom / Jacuzzi luxury villa has a private infinity pool and is set in the borders of a national park with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and Morocco. You will not be disappointed.

The swimming pool is salt based (instead of chemical chlorine) and provides you a carefree and great swimming experiences.

Only 100 meters from the sea with plenty of walking activities including stunning coastal walks with some great fishing spots as well. There is also whale and dolphin watching nearby should you want to see these amazing animals.

If that sounds a bit too strenuous you can choose to spend your days lying by the pool listening to the sound of the waves of the Atlantic as they crash gently on the shore.

Large covered terrace with sitting area overlooking the pool, garden and the sea. Modern, bright interior. Floor to Ceiling Glass Windows from living / sitting area onto terrace giving panoramic views of the sea.

Five minutes drive to the nearest beach with several restaurants and bars. Please note this is the nearest sandy beach however there are several coves with pebbly beaches within direct walking distance of the villa.

Getares around the corner (5 minutes drive) and Tarifa (25 minutes) with the great food and drinks, and peaceful and quiet and very Spanish experiences

If you want complete relaxation we can arrange for a massage or reflexology session by a qualified practitioner in the comfort of the property (cost not included in rental price).

Guests will have access to the whole property. The living space is approx. 150 m2 with an 500m2 garden, including infinity pool and 3 terraces and balconies

Séjour très agréable dans cette maison parfaitement adaptée pour notre famille. La vue est extraordinaire et Marcel, propriétaire de la maison est chaleureux, très sympathique et disponible tant au cours de la préparation de notre séjour que pendant nos vacances.

Perfect location and host

We had a fantastic week's stay at Marcel's property. The property is perfectly located with views across the Strait of Gibraltar to the North coast of Africa. The amenities include everything you need for a comfortable stay. Marcel is an excellent and attentive host. We used the property as a base to explore the surrounding area in day trips from Cadiz to Malaga. We could have stayed longer. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Schönes Haus mit traumhaftem Ausblick

Der Vermieter Marcel ist sehr gut erreichbar und erkundigte sich mehrfach nach unserem Befinden in der Villa. Wir fühlten uns willkommen. Die Villa setzt die Nutzung eines Mietwagens voraus. Dafür erhält man einen sensationellen Ausblick auf die Straße von Gibraltar und ruhige Lage direkt am Nationalpark. Der Pool ist noch nutzbar, allerdings ist eine Modernisierung notwendig da sich bereits Mosaiksteine ablösen. Gewünscht hätten wir uns zudem loungemöbel im Outdoorbereich. Die auf den Bildern sind leider nicht mehr vorhanden. Fazit: Es gibt Bedarf an Modernisierung aber die Lage des Objektes entschädigt. Der Restaurantempfehlung des Vermieters sind wir gefolgt und wurden mit Genuss belohnt. Also unbedingt das Puro Estrecho besuchen.

Fantastisch, persoonlijk en gastvrij!

Communicatie met de eigenaar Marcel is erg prettig verlopen. Vriendelijk, behulpzaam en staat altijd klaar voor mocht er iets zijn! De Vila is sfeervol ingericht, schoon, goede bedden en alles tip top in orde! Marcel geeft veel tips over de omgeving. De natuur in de omgeving is prachtig! Al met al…. Echt een aanrader en wij zouden graag weer terugkomen! Bedankt Marcel en fam. voor deze mooie vakantie!

Beeindruckender Blick auf die Straße von Gibraltar

Ein sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus am Rande eines Naturschutzgebietes mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf Marokko und die Straße von Gibraltar. Der Gastgeber ist jederzeit per WhatsApp ansprechbar und stellt viele nützliche Informationen zur Verfügung.

Sehr schöne Lage, wunderbare Aussicht

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem ruhigen, etwas abgelegenen Einfamilienhaus-Quartier. Dank der Lage am Hang ist die Aussicht auf das Meer und Afrika herrlich. Die Betreuung durch den Vermieter war sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Zum Empfang gab es Champagner und frischen Früchte! Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit dem Wetter. Bei bedecktem Himmel und Temperaturen leicht über 20°C war es wegen des ständigen Windes meistens zu kalt. Daher konnten wird den Aussenbereich und den Pool praktisch nicht nutzen und mussten in wärmere Gegenden fahren. Vor Ort gibt es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Ein Auto ist deshalb unabdingbar. Die Ausstattung entsprach nicht ganz den Bildern im Internet und einige Utensilien (z.B. die Liegestühle) sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Alles in allem haben wir die Ferien jedoch in vollen Zügen genossen und können dieses Objekt weiterempfehlen.

Schöne Villa in traumhafter Lage mit fantastischem Blick über die Strasse von Gibraltar. Komplette Küchenausstattung mit allem, was man braucht (auch 3 Tiefkühlfächer sind vorhanden). Klimaanlage in 2 Schlafräumen. Sehr netter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter, der immer ansprechbar war (über whatsapp) und sich um das Wohl der Gäste sorgte. Auch die Reservierung im Restaurant für den ersten Abend klappte problemlos. Wir freuten uns auch über Obst und eine Flasche Sekt zum Empfang. Grundstück von Mauern umgeben und so gut wie nicht einsehbar, Garage sehr praktisch, Auto zwingend erforderlich.

Beautiful

Stunning villa, everything you could possibly need in the villa. Marcel was brilliant at keeping in touch throughout our stay and so helpful when we had a tyre emergency. Just be aware that there is no local shop so be prepared to drive everywhere, on very bendy roads!! But a perfect villa in a beautiful location.

Wij zijn tevreden over onze vakantie in dit vakantiehuis! We zijn het gewoon om steeds een all in hotel te boeken maar omdat we een kleintje van 1 jaar hadden, kozen we dit jaar toch voor een vakantiehuis. Marcel, de huisbaas, stond steeds paraat via whatsapp. Je mag hem vragen wat je wilt ( bezienswaardigheden, hulp bij het zoeken van een apotheker,...) Hij is zeer behulpzaam. Het huis is verzorgd, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig qua keukengerief, wasmachine, wasmiddel, etc. En tot slot.. het uitzicht is gewoon fantastisch! je kan vanuit elke ruimte de zee zien! A wonderful and relaxing stay with a stunning view

We've spent 9 days here and all we can say is that we've been overwhelmed by Marcel's hospitality (Thank you for the sparkling wine and the fruits!). From the start, we got all the information we could possibly need, including the offer to make a reservation at Puro Estrecho for the first dinner (highly recommended!). All has been said about the view, the house itself is comfortably equipped, you don't miss anything! We had to cut down the programme we planned, because the house was so beautiful that we almost didn't feel like leaving it ;) For those who are used to a good internet connection: the Wi-Fi is great, you can stream YouTube and the like without any major difficulties. Thank you again, we can certainly recommend a stay!

Villa has stunning views but needs repair work done !!!!

Die villa hat einen tollen Ausblick und auf den ersten blick ist alles toll. Als wir ankommen war der fernsehen kaput. Eine Tűr auf den balkon ging am zweiten tag kaputt. Am dritten Tag viel die elektrik aus ( immer mal wieder ein paar stunden ) was kein problem wäre aber uns wurde nicht erklärt wie wir aus dem haus rein und raus kähmen ( elektrische tűren fűr Auto und Toor ) erst nach mehren fragen wurde mitgeteilt dass es einen schlűssel im Haus gab ( were nett gewesen es vorher zu wissen) Liege stűhle waren draussen kaputt/ der kűchenherd hatte einen Riss usw. Der schluss war am letzten tag als wir wűrmer im schwimbad fanden. Haben die noch mit der unterwasser camera gefielmt. Unfortunately we where rather disappointed with the villa. Really stunning views and on first look really lovely. But needs repair work done. On arriving we realised that the television was not working ( not a problem we did without it ) one of the sunloungers was repaired with a screw and the other two didn't look good either. One of the outside doors broke while we where there. The kitchen hob has a big crack right across. The pool had several tiles missing and the pumps top had a big crack in it. On our third day the electricity went off ( not a problem as this happens a lot in southern countries) but we where not told how to get out of the building ( car or by foot ) as it was closed with electric gates. Only after asking where we told about a key looked away in the house ( would have been nice to know before) On the last day we found worms in the pool which we filmed with the supplied unter water camera ( it wasn't very pleasant) On the day we where leaving I asked for my damaged refund back only to be told that the mother in law vergotten it ( I could understand this but by then I was annoyed) I had tried to tell Marcel via whatts app about repair work and other issues. Not sure if anything will get done .

Stunning

The view is amazing and the property has everything required for a most enjoyable holiday. There are some great local walks, a lovely restaurant and stunning beaches close by. Marcel and his family were very attentive and perfect hosts. Personally if you drive I would leave the car on the road as the drive takes a while to master :) I would heartily recommend a visit.

Fantastic Location and Service

We stayed at this property over Easter 18. It was well located overlooking the Straits of Gibraltar and the mountains of Morocco - great place to vessel and bird watch the day away with a cold beer or two! The facilities were really good. Marcel and his support team was very attentive both before and during the stay including a welcome bottle of chilled Cava and a cake on my birthday . The toilet paper issue turned out to be no problem after all. The local restaurants were OK. Tarifa was especially good and in particular the outside bar at the Dos Mares on the beach - a real hit with my grown up family. Thank you Marcel for a wonderful holiday!

1. Marcel is a fantast host. His communication is A+++++++ 2. Example - Marcel's wife was in labour when we arrived and he still managed to contact us with vital information about our stay. CONGRATULATIONS Marcel and your family on the new arrival. 3. The property is amazing and the views to Africa are incredible. 4. The property is a good drive from most places. I love driving so it wasn't a big deal but for many the twisty roads in and out will be a challenge. 5. The restaurant in town was very good and we would recommend. Other than that, we didn't eat close by. We ate far out of town or went to the Supermarcado for some supplies. 6. Our kids loved the pool. 7. We loved watching the kids in the pool and looking at Africa. 8. After we booked we were told we could not flush toiled paper. At first this was very foreign and off-putting to us, however, it turned to not be a big deal at all even for our 12, 9 and 4 year olds. 9. Ultimagtly we recommend Marcel and his place. 10.
