The historic town of Monmouth is just 2 miles from the Lodge and has plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes for you to enjoy. The town is steeped in history and a visit to Monmouth Castle is a must along with the Monnow Bridge and Gate. Spend the day at Monmouth Museum or take a visit to the lost city of Trelleck, where they offer archaeological dig experiences.

The area is also perfect for outdoor enthusiasts with a range of walking opportunities, including National Trust Kymin offering spectacular views over the rolling hills of Monmouthshire. If you wish to discover the wider area, this wonderful property is ideally located for easy access to the Brecon Beacons being about a 45-minute drive. The Forest of Dean, which has an array of activities for all ages, and the literary town of Hay-on-Wye has its famous festival each year.
