Cosy cottage with direct access to Dartmoor (dog friendly)

The coach house is in the edge of Dartmoor, perfect to explore the 368 square miles of outstanding countryside. There are many things to do on Dartmoor including, walking, horse riding, climbing, cycling, canoeing and the local 18 hole golf course is a 5 minute drive away.
The local village, which is a short walk away - has 2 dog friendly pubs, a bakery, small convenience store and a fish and chip shop.
The market town of Tavistock is a 10 minute drive away and has a fantastic indoor market most days.
The nearest train station is in Plymouth, which is 15 miles away.
The cottage has an enclosed garden, perfect for dogs. There is a log burner and oil fired central heating, perfect for cosy nights in!

Lovely peaceful llocation. Ideal for dogs as property has an enclosed garden and plenty of walks on the moors nearby.

Lovely little cottage very clean and very well equipped lovely garden which is secure found some lovely places to walk,to get on the moor had to walk up the road as the path way alongside the cottage was blocked by a locked gate after you went through the first field ( think that’s because of sheep in a field alongside) but it wasn’t a problem as the road is quite. Also very central for exploring the area by car would recomend visit to Dartmoor prison museum actually really interesting and for letting dogs run free Shaugh bridge is a lovely walk

Es war eine originelle Unterkunft in einer wunderschönen Lage. Sehr hundefreundlich....Decken, Futterschüsseln- alles vorhanden !Kleines Manko - bei Ankunft war die Unterkunft sehr kalt - es dauerte lange ,bis es warm wurde.

Very cosy cottage, as stated. Easily contactable host. Oven/hob showing signs of age/use. We stayed with our 2 dogs, very dog friendly accommodation. Garden 99% secure. (Little dogs could get through the gate) some of the fencing abit worn out. Bedroom and bathroom lovely. Central heating lovely. Beware of the Dartmoor weather. It rained the whole time we were there! We made good use of the cosy cottage.

Simple relaxation

Location great, bed good, shower good. No WiFi which is rather nice when you get used to the concept. Stayed for a long weekend and were sad to leave

It is terrible please stay away

I was so surprised to see such a accommodation is being offered to people to stay. It is disgusting. It is humidity. They have put the humidity machine there was not working and we could not stay. We want to stay in Travaloge hotel. And in the morning when I made a comment to the host to Julian, she said reply to my message house rule house valuationAnd then I asked her what was it? We didn’t stay we couldn’t stay because of the place. I was no reply from her and I asked for the refund and she just cancelled my booking but really it is not safe as a person to sleep in this . damp humidity and smell.

Get away, breath & just relax.

Just the place to unwind. Very, very. quite with everything you could need in the cottage. Comfy bed, good shower, well equipped kitchen. The garden is enclosed so perfect to let the dogs out and not worry about them. We spent most of time walking and exploring Dartmoor with the dogs, (most places are dog friendly too) so it was great to have a lovely cottage to come back to and relax.

The best country retreat!

What a beautiful little gem, hidden away in dartmoor. Everthing you could ever need whilst remaining cosy. Log burner was a treat. Absolute silence and pitch black at night. Nothing but the sound of owls. Definitely coming back. Thank you

On the very edge of Dartmoor.

We enjoyed a pleasant three night stay here. The cottage was warm and we liked having the log burner. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen. We found the bed comfortable. It would have been nice to have a table to eat at and there is plenty of room in the lounge for one. The cottage is on the edge of Dartmoor and very near to beautiful Tavistock. beautiful Tavistock.

Lovely little cottage.

Really nice spot for a few days away. Lovely dog friendly venue. Lots of nice touches. Milk and fresh eggs from the chickens I am already planning a return visit.

Quiet spot within easy reach of the moors. The friendly chickens are a bonus. Definitely recommended.

Quiet & peaceful getaway

Cosy yet spacious cottage, easy access to Dartmoor. We loved having a really peaceful few days here as did our dog. We walked around Burrator reservoir which was about ten minutes drive away and saw some wonderful wildlife. The cottage is well set up. Julie and Will were very welcoming hosts. Thank you!
