Enjoy our cosy authentique Greek house with a super roof terrace to enjoy the amazing star shows by night.

Quiet village free of mass tourism with little local shops selling great local produce, fresh eggs and specialty cheese, and a super taverna to enjoy.

Lots of great beaches within 5-15 minutes drive to explore in the area.

This is an open plan house, with a 5 meter high traditional archway room and a separate desk space in the little room on route to the roof terrace. It is a 70 sq.m. semi detached house, in the corner of the village with no other passing traffic except for the 3 neighbouring houses.

Bedrooms: 2 double beds on mezzanine platforms, with a bathroom below one and a walk-in wardrobe/storage area under the other. (N.B. access to beds is from feet end of bed).

Bathroom: A unique bathroom with a mosaic tiled sink, a walk in wet shower area, washing machine and WC.

Kitchen: A practical hand made kitchen, including everything you could need to self cater and always has some basics stocked ready for you to use.

Dining table area for 6, lounge corner with TV, fireplace and great views of this unique house.

Very nice rural house

Clare’s house is a very beautiful stone building in secluded Malona. Very quiet and unique setting. The house is furnished with taste and character and is furnished.

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhigem, netten Dorf

Wir, eine vierköpfige Familie mit Teenagern, haben 2 sehr schöne Wochen hier verbracht. Es ist ein altes Haus, das liebevoll saniert wurde. Die Einrichtung ist gut, einem Ferienhaus entsprechend. Es hat alles funktioniert, es war sehr sauber, wir haben nichts vermisst. In den 2 Augustwochen war es teilweise sehr warm, dennoch haben wir morgens und abends die Dachterrasse mit schönem Ausblick am Tag in die Umgebung und nachts in den Sternenhimmel sehr gern genutzt. Über dem Tisch ist zudem ein großes Sonnentarpe gespannt. Im Ort kann man kleinere Einkäufe für die Selbstverpflegung erledigen. Empfehlenswert ist, maximal einen Kleinwagen zu mieten, die Straßen sind recht eng, aber es gibt einen Parkplatz am Haus. Die Vermieterin Clare, war sehr nett und immer gut erreichbar. Bereits vor Anreise hat sie unsere Fragen schnell beantwortet. Am Anreisetag wurden wir sehr freundlich von ihr empfangen und durch die Straßen bis zum Haus gelotst. Unser Aufentahlt haben wir sehr genossen, wir können das Haus empfehlen.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, dans cette belle maison proches des plus belles plages de Rhodes. Clare fait tout pour que votre séjour se passe bien. Pensez à prendre la climatisation car les températures sont intenables au mois d'août à Rhodes

Disappointing

On arrival some dead plants in planters around front door. First impressions . On entering house there was a foisty smell. The place felt grubby re. Sofa covers and cushions looked like they could do with a good clean The kitchen area had a kettle with broken lid a coffee machine that was very old. The fridge light doesn’t work. The TV didn’t work at all could nt get anything ..when we contacted owner she said only Greek TV but we could nt even get that.. we went up to roof terrace to get a view of village (the only place in-house with a view). Excrutiatingly hot with hardly any shade The stairs to the terrace are very very steep not suitable for anyone with Health problems. The bed linen was very tired and not of good quality. The shower is old. We realise this is a traditional Greek building but feel it could be much more welcoming. In my opinion it needs alot of TLC... we stayed for one night only. We went to the beach on 2nd day and could not face going back to the house. I rung the owner and told her we were disappointed . I said we would like a partial refund. She mentioned the Thomas cook problem and said we were trying to get back money to get cheaper accommodation. I don t see how this was relevant to our situation. We thought we would be getting some beautiful accommodation for the money we paid and were happy to pay We stayed October 2019 We were in Greece for 3 weeks and were so looking forward to staying here. We thought had saved the best until last. You learn by your mistakes.

September stay

This wonderful converted bakery suited us perfectly. Beautifully furnished and spacious, we found it welcoming and comfortable. It's only a short drive to wonderful swimming beaches and close to Lindos, yet located in a village that isn't overwhelmed by the tourist industry of Rhodes. The narrow streets around the houses take some careful manoeuvring but it wasn't a problem with a small car. This was our first time to Rhodes and I hope we'll be back now we know a great place to stay.

Wunderschöne Idylle

Das Haus ist rustikal und ist wunderbar gelegen. Zum Meer nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto. Ein kleines Auto ist auf Grund der Enge in den Straßen zu empfehlen.

Ottima soluzione in posizione strategica

Casa molto bella e molto rustica. Era un antico forno per il pane. Ovviamente essendo la struttura concepita in vecchio stile greco, la sconsiglio alle persone un po’ “schizzinose”. In due settimane solo 3 scarafaggi, ma per essere in Grecia è considerato la struttura e i materiali della casa, non ci si può lamentare. La posizione è molto strategica per le migliori spiagge e per Lindos. È necessario possedere un auto per gli spostamenti.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Ferienhaus

Wir haben zu dritt erholsame 10 Tage ab Ende September hier verbracht und von hier aus die Insel erkundet. Die kleinen Märkte im Ort sind zu Fuß schnell erreicht und haben ausreichend Auswahl für ein gemütliches Frühstück und gelegentliches Kochen einer Mahlzeit. Die Anfahrtsbeschreibung und die Organisation durch Clare Lee waren freundlich, hilfreich und professionell.

Ein außergewöhnliches Feriendomizil

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in der liebevoll renovierten ehemaligen Bäckerei. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und in den gemütlichen Hochbetten schläft man gut. Die Dachterasse haben wir wegen der großen Hitze nicht genutzt. Danke an Clare und Regina.

Très belle maison dans un joli village grec typique

Très belle maison, à l’extérieur comme à l’intérieur, avec notamment la grande arcade dans le salon, située dans un joli village avec d’etroites ruelles. Une supérette se trouve à 2-3 minutes à pied où on peut acheter du pain livré le matin par le boulanger. Depuis la terrasse sur le toit on voit l’église et les montagnes derrière. L’escalier menant à la terrasse est assez raide.

Loved it....

This was a surprise visit to catch the end of summer in Rhodes. We found the island peaceful, empty of tourists and very relaxed. The locals were very friendly and Regina who looked out for us in the house was helpful and available when we needed her. We found the house as it was described by Clare and the atmosphere of the house even better than we could have imagined It was a really lovely experience to be in a house like this and one we will not forget. All the details to get us to the house were easy to follow and even though this house is amongst the small village streets it was completely peaceful and wonderfully calming. We had a great end of season visit, cold at night warm by day and swimming too, we would definitely recommend this house for people who want a real Greek experience.

lebendiger Traum

Die Einrichtung ist ausgesprochen geschmackvoll und berücksichtigt die Traditionalität von Rhodos auf sensible und bezaubernde Art und Weise. Gleichzeit sind alle modernen Ansprüche an Komfort befriedet: Kühlschrank (der keinen Lärm verursacht), schicker Gasherd, Klimaanlage. Welch herrliches Leben: komfortable Moderne im 16.Jahrhundert!! Die Dachterasse ist eine Oase und viel schöner als auf dem Bild! Die versorgende gute Fee, die das Haus vor Ort betreut, war unser lebendiger Schutzengel. Wir waren mit zwei Kindern hier, die sich mit dem Haus schnell anfreundeten und sich sehr glücklich hier fühlten, nicht zuletzt durch die liebevolle Einrichtung!! Vielen Dank für diese herrliche Zeit - ein wunderbarer Glücksgriff !!

Traumurlaub im Traumhaus

Wir waren eine Woche Anfang Juli auf Rhodos und zu Gast im Fourno "Bakery" House. Alle Angaben waren korrekt und die Buchung, Zahlungsabwicklung & E-Mail Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war unkompliziert und herzlich. Wir wurden von einem liebevoll eingerichteten Haus in Top- Zustand empfangen und konnten eine unbeschwerte Woche in dem kleinen Dörfchen Malona verbringen. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub und würden das Fourno House zu 100% weiterempfehlen! Christina & Fabian

Lovely and functional home

We spent two weeks in this comfortable and romantic home. The house really has everything you need. The kitchen is spacious and equipped, we found coffee, tea, fresh water and other products at our disposal,so when we arrived we were able to rest after the journey. The house is clean and organized. The car is essential. Malona is a cozy village, We believe his position is very comfortable to move in different places most interesting to visit. In ten minutes drive you can reach different beaches. The assistance of the owner is on site. We recommend this location for couples, families and all those seeking peace.

I renovated the Fourno house along with numerous others in Rhodes whilst we lived on the island for many years.
We love the peace and quiet in the village and retreating into our cosy space when we are there.
