The condo is a 15 minute drive from the airport. It is also well served by public transport, making it easy to explore the island.

High Trees (Barbados)

My family and I stayed at Gloria’s place 10 nights. We all found the accommodation to be spacious, comfortable and in a great location, close to local supermarkets and walking distance to St Lawrence Gap with its many restaurants. Dover beach is also close by. We found the accommodation to be beautifully clean and nicely decorated. Our two teenage children also enjoyed the pool! Gloria was very helpful and responsive to all our enquiries and she put us in touch with a local taxi driver who couldn’t have been friendlier. He picked us from the airport and dropped us back for our flight home. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Barbados and highly recommend it.

Home away from home

We had a great stay. We explored the island but it was nice to come home to the townhouse to relax. The pool are was well used. Towards the end of our stay the complex got full and the pool area ran out of chairs. It was great to have a full kitchen with laundry however we couldnt get the dryer to work. The hostess did provide two clothes drying racks that were used daily.. suggestion for future rentals is to have a table and chairs on the patio for eating outside and some board games for the casual evenings spent in the townhouse. The maintena ce staff were very friendly and helpful by answering the questikns. The air conditioning units in the townhoise were greeatly appreciated and worked well.We will definitely want to stay here again on out return trip.

We had a lovely stay at Gloria’s condo. Since we were there for two weeks, we wanted to be able to cook and we made full use of her quality pans and pots, baking dishes, storage containers, etc.There are plenty of plates and glasses and silverware. Gloria was very responsive to my inquiries before and during our stay. Being American and unfamiliar with the SMEGG appliances, particularly the cooktop vent/light operation, she quickly let me know that you just have to slide out the bottom of the vent in order for the light to turn on and the vent to start operating. We did use the washing machine as well after reading the instruction manual ! I brought laundry detergent sheets and a few detergent pods. I used the dryer for about 20 minutes and then hung the hot damp clothes on the wooden drying rack that I found outside on the balcony ; we put it in one of the spare bedrooms and the clothes dried quickly with the AC turned off.There are a few games and cards there in the cabinet under the TV. I would recommend adding a scrabble board or backgammon or jigsaw puzzle and maybe a few paperback books.It was great not having to pack beach towels!The beds are very firm! The outdoor pool was nice to take a dip in. I would say it takes probably eight minutes to carefully walk down to Dover Beach.It’s a nice condominium complex, felt safe with the gate lock; quiet neighborhood; tree frogs to lull you to sleep and the neighbors’ roosters to wake you up in the morning!

fantastic place

The condo and location is fantastic. The condo has everything you need. Gloria and Andrea were great. we did not need anything during our stay. but they were always checking in make sure we had what we needed. The condo is beautiful. The outdoor sitting area is stunning. The reason I give 4.5 star rating is the condo has 3 bedrooms and there is only seating for 4 people in the outdoor sitting area. that is were you will send most of your time. The master air conditioning needs recharged. TVs in the bedrooms maybe an asset to some. Over all it is a fantastic place and we will return. Richard

High Trees is a short walk to Dover beach. Worthing and Enterprise beaches are nearby.
The Gap - the entertainment hub on the south coast is also a short walk away with endless restaurants and bars to choose from.
High Trees is 15 minutes away from the airport, golf courses, and Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary. Well served by public transport.
