Eco dos Teixos is the dream we’ve been pursuing for several years, and it’s finally coming true. After restoring the village’s old school with a great deal of effort, today you can enjoy this space full of magic, tradition, and nature.<br><br>You’ll have access to a large living room with a kitchen and fireplace, as well as a spacious outdoor area with a garden and mountain views.<br><br>We also offer meals at our cave-like tavern! Please let us know in advance.<br><br>Both Elba (biologist and hiking guide) and Pedro (sociocultural facilitator and hiking guide) lead tours to explore spectacular sites around Trevinca (Galicia’s highest mountain): such as Teixadal de Casaio (the best-preserved yew forest on the Iberian Peninsula) or San Xil (forest, river, guerrilla huts, and cave paintings).<br>Some others:<br>- Geocaching game (group orienteering)<br>- Archery<br>- Queimada: a Galician ritual performed as a community to prepare a magical brew to scare away the Meigas.<br>- Bonfire in the garden<br>- Karaoke<br>- Summer camps<br>- End-of-year field trips<br><br>Come visit us!
