Traditional stone Lakeland cottage on the outside, contemporary spacious home on the inside! From the first step inside the front door, this welcoming retreat for eight is sure to make a great first impression, and have you feeling right at home. You'll find storage and hooks in the hallway ready and waiting for your coats and boots.

On your left is the spacious living room; light, bright and inviting, this really is a wonderful space to gather with friends and family to recount the days adventures, and plan the next! Curl up and make yourself comfortable on the two three-seater sofas or the tartan easy chair with footstool, ideally positioned around the warming cosy log burner. There's a wall-mounted Smart TV to enjoy your favourite programmes and a selection of games/books for entertainment.

The modern kitchen-diner, with island and bar stools, is well-equipped and sure to make meal preparation and cooking a pleasure.

The four comfortable bedrooms are nicely furnished, with plenty of storage, and quality mattresses for a good nights sleep. There are two double bedrooms with en-suite facilities and TVs and two twin rooms, one of which boasts a TV, and these are serviced by a sleek family bathroom. Each bedroom will be dressed in luxury crisp white bed linen and towels ready for your arrival.

Outside there is a patio area with seating and a parking space for one car, a real bonus so close to the centre of Keswick, and there's plenty of on-street parking nearby for guests travelling in more than one car.

The house is superbly situated only a stones stone's throw away from the vibrant town centre, where your holiday can be as jam-packed or restful as you please! There are many walks straight from the door onto the nearby fells and there is also easy access to Derwentwater, the Theatre by the Lake, unique local shops, cinema, cafes and pubs in Keswick.

Excellent place to stay

2 families and a dog had a wonderful time at Wordsworth House. Plenty of room, warm and clean . Only a short walk into town and one parking space provided . Definitely would stay here again.

Great place in great location

We had a lovely stay at Wordsworth house in Keswick. Great location for the centre of Keswick and our Saturday Parkrun. We hired the hot tub which was lovely and hot and a great addition to our weekend. House very clean. Showers hot with good water pressure. Great kitchen and communal areas.

Family lakes trip

Lovely house for a weeks stay in Keswick. Plenty room for all of us which included 4 kids and a dog. Very clean and well equipped. We had a couple of small issues which were resolved very quickly after contacting the office. Would use this property again

Walking holiday with friends

A great holiday let for walks around Keswick. The house was large enough for us all with great social spaces. Easy walk into the town to the pub and shops. Very comfortable house and had all we needed for our short break. Parking space quite tight. Only downside hence the three for customer service was that we did find the emails and texts about leaving a little intruding, felt we were reminded about obligations to leave when we’d just arrived, you might wish to review this when the stay is a short three night stay.

Great place, great location, great service 5* :)

Lots of times in Keswick in lots of different cottages and this one was in the top 3 easily and I think (memory fades!) first time with Keswick Cottages and they were awesome!

We had an great stay in Wordsworth House, fantastic location and everything provided you could need

The house is in a great location, out the way of the hustle and bustle but only about an 8 minute walk into the center of Keswick. The Lakes through everything at us weather wise but the house was a warm and inviting place to come back too. It is very well equipped with everything you need and generally got parked right outside. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

3 generation holiday

This is the 2 nd time we have stayed at Wordsworth house and it suits our family needs very well, very well equipped house great location close to town and park for dog walking, we had 2 lake days where we took out paddle boards and Kyack, weather could have been kinder but we made the best of weather on good days

Family getaway in Keswick

This is the 6th time we have been to Keswick over recent years, we all agreed that it was the best accommodation we have stayed in it suited all our needs 3bathrooms, warm, clean and great position.

Great location and spacious property.

This is a great property in a very good location but there are a couple of negatives; yard needed to be jet washed, beds not all that comfortable, toilet flush in two bathrooms very poor but still enjoyed our stay.

Great stay in Keswick

We had a fantastic week at this lovely house in Keswick. It was the perfect size for two families and our two dogs — plenty of space for everyone to relax and feel comfortable. The property was clean on arrival and really well equipped. The location couldn’t have been better — just a short walk into town and right near the park, which was perfect for walking the dogs. The parking space was a bit tight but we never had any issues with on-street parking, always lots available right outside the property. Communication from Keswick Cottages was excellent from start to finish, and the thoughtful dog welcome treats were such a lovely touch! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Convenient, Comfortable and Central Accommodation

Wordsworth House in Keswick is a prime location. Easy to find on the drive into Keswick and less than 10 minutes walk to the town centre (with pram). Spacious living spaces, good size rooms, plenty of washrooms, and washer/dryer meant right fit with ample room.

Wordsworth House

Our family stayed in this fabulous house over the New Year. It had everything we needed spacious comfortable and great location for the town. The size of the kitchen is a plus big table where we could eat or play board games. I would definitely recommend this house;.

Amazing stay in beautiful property

Excellent communication & service from Keswick Cottages from start to finish. The house is lovely (much nicer in our opinion than the pictures) house is very clean, comfy beds, excellent water pressure on showers & the house is so well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. Only a five minute walk to Keswick centre where there are a multitude of pub/restaurants & shops. Fantastic stay, fantastic weather in a lovely part of the UK

A lovely house, well situated for town and local amenities. Drive access limited but plenty of on street parking. Would benefit from outside table and chairs as picnic bench seen better days. Limited welcome pack. Would recommend house to others.

Great place to stay

Lovely place for a large group. Very comfortable beds. The twin bedded room is a bit tight for space between the beds. Ok for youngsters. Good bathroom/showers Very large kitchen and dining area. So spacious it can be echoey. We didn’t use the parking space so there’s room for children to play outside or to sit out in the sun. Overall, this a very nice place to stay and just a short walk to the park and to the centre of Keswick. Would definitely choose it again.

Lovely house with plenty of room

The house was very spacious and had plenty of room for 6 and a dog. The kitchen was very well stocked, there were enough towels and the cleaning pack/welcome pack was fine. The WiFi provided was good. The parking g space was quite tight for our Seat Atteca so we parked on the street. This was fine each day as there were plenty of on street spaces outside property. The heating worked well, the property was very warm. The beds were comfy. The place was clean but I noticed a few areas that are obviously not cleaned regularly, such as the radiator in upstairs bathroom and the decorative cushions on bed had (dog ?) hair all over them. The shower tray panel in top ensuite is loose and coming away. The bedroom above kitchen could do with a mirror. The whole house is decorated nicely and has everything you need. Keswick Cottages communicated regularly and the information was clear. One thing I found off putting was that they were contacting me early on Thursday to go over our leaving instructions. I feel this is too early, our holiday was still on the go and they were already saying bye! This email should be sent later the night before...it was a short holiday, I didn't need reminding that it was over the next day. On the whole I would definitely stay here again.

One of the best houses we’ve stayed in in Keswick

Great stay in a lovely house. Very clean and well equipped. Beds are comfortable and fitted with quality sheets, although are only doubles and singles. The singles have boards at the end so are not ideal for adults. The lounge is lovely with windows to three aspects. We had an issue with the en-suite shower trays not draining which we informed Keswick Cottages about on the first day of our stay. These were apparently fixed quickly however the company neglected to tell us and so we continued to use the shower over the bath which is very slippy. When we eventually used the showers they were extremely powerful. The towels provided were lovely and fluffy but the only place we found to dry them was the airing cupboard (limited space available). The towel rails like the rest of the central heating refused to turn on. On wet days, drying things could be an issue for larger parties. There was no photo of the outside space when we booked. This has recently had a new fence and gate erected which meant that the dog was secure. The picnic bench has seen better days and this area lets the quality of the house down somewhat. We did manoeuvre our VW golf into the parking spot on the first day, but it wasn’t easy and certainly wouldn’t fit a larger car. Parking though was no problem (even in August) we were always able to find a spot on the road nearby. We had a lovely stay at Wordsworth House, our dog absolutely loved meeting new friends and running around in Fitz Park (2 minutes away) and would recommend the house to others.
