Shepherds Lodge is situated on the outskirts of Beadnell Village. Sleeping 6 people and welcoming dogs the lodge is a spacious accommodation with a secure garden and sea views. The lounge and dining area are open plan and patio doors lead out onto the patio with outdoor seating and bbq. There are 2 double bedrooms (1 ensuite) and 1 twin room - all the bedrooms have lovely views across the fields towards the sea. There is a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The village and beach are a 10 to 15 minute walk

Beds bedding furniture very clean accommodation was very comfortable and really well stocked, lovely gift when we arrived Only slight disappointment was the outside furniture which was unusable due to its condition. Inside you can always find dust and areas that need a deeper clean between clients ( probably see it because we own a cleaning business) would we stay again absolutely yes and we would definitely recommend it to friends and family

Everything we hoped for and more

Shepherds Lodge provided a comfortable, clean, well equipped base for us to explore the area.. But it also provided a beautiful sunset and views across golden corn fields towards the sea. We saw two huge hares and curlews in the field. Although the Lodge shares the plot with the larger Shepherd's Cottage, the smaller Bothy and a couple of fabulous looking shepherds huts, it was tucked in the corner at the end of the driveway and so felt very private with an enclosed garden. The lodge provided everything we needed and then some.. We simply couldn't ask for more and we didn't want to leave. The welcome cake and prosecco was a lovely touch too! Thank you so much.

An excellent weeks holiday.

Very helpful and welcoming owners. Great location with stunning views. Watched the 40+ curlews feeding on the adjoining field. Just a superb experience will return next year.

Another wonderful week

This was our tenth (10) stay at mains cottages. If only we could live here permanently. Yet again another week of good weather just right for the dogs. We’ve recommended mains cottages to our friends and a few have visited and enjoyed staying. Nothing is too much trouble with Steve on hand if needed.

Fabulous Accommodation

Great as always. Sam & all the team provide the best accommodation & everything to make your break away the best it can be. Have stayed in the lodge & Benthall house many times over past 10 years. Stayed with many different friends & I have to stop raving about it all or I won't be able to get a booking myself!

Fabulous stay over Christmas

Stayed with my husband and his parents for 4 nights over Christmas. Wow what a wonderful place. The lodge is lovely and the location is perfect. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will be returning!

Great property, great location

Shepherds Lodge is finished to a high standard and was very clean and comfortable. Although on a plot next to other rental properties it is very private, with the garden and property overlooking open fields. The location is only a short walk from local amenities and the stunning beach of Beadnell, with numerous walks from the Lodge. We had a very comfortable stay at the Lodge, it felt very homely. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch and much appreciated (the cake was gorgeous). I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Shepherds Lodge and would be more than happy to return.

Wonderful stay

Wow. An absolutely beautiful week in Shepherds Lodge. A real home from home accommodation. Sam and her team are excellent . Dog Friendly Lodge

Spacious lodge which was clean and very well equipped. The garden was private and enclosed, very suitable for our dog. There is a bit of a walk to the beach but overall the location is well situated for exploring the area. Excellent value for money.

Another great stay

We had another lovely stay at Shepherds Lodge with our five dogs. The lodge is very spacious but cosy and has everything you need for a weeks stay. It is only a five minute drive from the lovely sandy beach at Beadnell. All the beautiful beaches in the area are dog friendly and never crowded in September. We had lovely cream/savoury teas at the Copper Kettle in Bamburgh opposite the beautiful Bamburgh Castle which is well worth a visit. The owners Sam and Steven are very friendly and were really prompt in sorting a minor problem that we encountered whilst staying there. We all just love Northumberland

Cosy, comfortable lodge

We loved this lodge and hope to return. Charming and helpful owners (response to a query was about 60 seconds!), fabulous welcome pack, very dog friendly with enclosed garden. The views are just gorgeous, across fields to the sea. Great layout and excellent parking. Just a couple of very tiny criticisms. There were a few gaps in the kitchen equipment which you probably wouldn’t notice unless you love to cook, like we do. To get to the beach, you do have to walk a short way down a busy road. But apart from that, the location is perfect. And you can’t have everything. It’s so amazing when you get there. Thanks so much for a wonderful holiday.

Perfect holiday home in beautiful part of the world

We were a party of 5 staying at Shepherd's Lodge and we had a fantastic holiday. The Lodge was the perfect accommodation, and we really enjoyed coming home to it at the end of each day. It was comfortable, there was a lovely welcome pack which was much enjoyed, it was incredibly private, and we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach from the house. We can't really fault it. Would highly recommend as the perfect place to explore beautiful Northumberland.

Lovely lodge

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much so we have booked again. Sam is very welcoming and the welcome goodies left for us and our dogs were very generous and very tasty . We found the lodge lovely and quiet and the views are just amazing. Our dogs loved it there and it is very dog friendly with a fab garden for them to potter around in.

Fabulous stay

This is put 3rd stay and certainly won’t be our last either! Booked this for my wife’s birthday with all our friends and family and couldn’t fault it, we had the best time. The lodge was perfect as there was 14 of us staying we had full use of the cottage and lodge facilities as well as the games room which is definitely an added bonus, the owners are lovely and helpful with any questions you might need answered, thank you

Excellent base to explore

As always, the lodge was very clean and everything was provided. That’s to welcome us too. Fabulous for dogs. Bowls, poo bags, treats all provided. Superb nearby beaches for them to play on too. Lovely quiet place to stay.

Fabulous as always

Another stay at Shepherds Lodge. Comfortable, relaxing & we are ready to book again. Dogs are exhausted & so are we. But so relaxed there, comfortable, quiet, fantastic beaches & so much to see. The Lodge is great & secure for the dogs. Lodge so wel equipped for everything anyone needs. With or without dogs it is a lovely place. Clean & spacious for all.

Amazing location to explore Northumbrian coast

Lovely long weekend

We had a lovely stay at Shepherds lodge. The garden was secure enough and big enough for our 3 dogs . I recommend a visit to the Craster Arms just down the road and you can take dogs in there too. Comfortable, cosy and clean

Superb as always!

An excellent lodge to stay in. We have stayed there many, many times and will be back again. It is clean and comfortable with gorgeous views of the sea and a secure garden which is perfect if you have dogs. The owner is absolutely fab and a real asset to the property. HIGHLY recommended!

Another very nice short stay

We've stayed a few times at Shepherd's Lodge now and it is always very pleasant. It is spacious but cozy and has pretty much everything you might need for your stay. It is very well situated with stunning beaches only a short drive away.
