Yorkshire Gate Lodge - Secluded cottage near the Yorkshire Wolds Way

Yorkshire Gate Lodge is the perfect retreat for walking & biking holidays.

Located in the hamlet of Raywell, you'll be able to immerse yourself in nature, soak up the country atmosphere, or simply use it as a base for visiting family in the area.

The sympathetically renovated & comfortable lodge offers easy access to the Yorkshire Wolds Way.

There is a cafe only a short walk away. We're conveniently located for Cottingham, Beverley, Hull.

The space

The lodge sleeps up to 4 guests across two flexible bedrooms. Both rooms can be set up as a super-king or twin, so just let us know your preference when booking and we'll have everything ready for your arrival.

There's a cosy lounge, a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room and a bathroom with both a full freestanding bath and a large separate shower.

Outside is a patio area, off-street parking and a large garden. Please note the garden is not fully enclosed, which is worth bearing in mind if you're bringing dogs.

The lodge also benefits from a covered outbuilding housing a laundry room, secure storage for bikes and walking gear, and a separate WC — handy for muddy walkers and cyclists coming in from a day out.

Everything you need is provided including quality linen, towels, iron, hairdryer and fast WiFi.

A café is just a short walk away and there are lovely woodland walks only 2 minutes down the road, perfect for an early morning stroll with the dog.

We're surrounded by lovely villages including Swanland, Welton and South Cave, with Cottingham and Willerby around 4 miles away for supermarkets and all amenities.

There are plenty of great pubs, cafés and restaurants locally and we're always happy to recommend our favourites.

Beverley, Hull, York and the Yorkshire Coast are all an easy drive away.
